I applied for a trainee bus driver's…

I applied for a trainee bus driver's job with Diamond Bus and was sent to Bolton, had passed my module 1a,1b and module 2 prior to go there, drove for three days with an extremely rude and aggressive instructor who often used so bold swear words with screaming loud shouting, absolutely unpleasant and suffocating environment. Had to quit on day three....
Will never recommend to anyone who I have the slightest empathy for....

Complaint About Driver of Bus 555 from…

Complaint About Driver of Bus 555 from Whiteley Village to London Heathrow Airport

I am writing to formally complain about the driver of bus number 555, which operates from Whiteley Village to London Heathrow Airport. The incident occurred today on 05/07/2024 at approximately 7:48 AM at the Harlington Corner bus stop.

The driver's ethnicity in question is an african male, appearing to be in his late 50s. Despite my clear attempts to signal the bus to stop, he did not come to the bus stop. There was a slight traffic delay, during which the bus had to wait. I approached the bus and asked the driver to open the door, explaining that I was running late for work and desperately needed to board. However, the driver refused and curtly told me to take the next bus.

This is not the first time I have encountered such behavior from this driver. On two previous occasions, he has also ignored my requests to board the bus. While I did not raise a complaint those times, this recurring issue has now compelled me to take action. As a result of this latest incident, I was delayed and reached work at 8:07 AM, leading to a formal warning from my employer for being late.

I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with this unprofessional and inconsiderate behavior. Reliable public transport is crucial for commuters like me who depend on timely service to meet work commitments. The driver's refusal to accommodate passengers at designated stops undermines the reliability of your service and causes significant inconvenience and distress.

Buses not doing the route

So twice in the last month the 7.27am bus from Swadlincote to Burton has not done its route and skipped out Winshill altogether by going down Ashby road.. I found this out by using the diamond app..Not good when I need to get to work…Buses need to do their route even if they are late!! It’s ridiculous people have places to be and to do.. I wish I never had to rely on them but unfortunately I do.. there should be something on the app so you can check delays and break downs which happens a lot .

The driver who drives the 15C Worcester

The driver who drives the 15C Worcester (stourport-Kidderminster) is so nice, he makes the ride smooth and they're overall a good bus company I personally think. I've been taking them to school every day and it's the same driver every time it's amazing. Thinks his name is Lee.

Faulty positioning of offside wing mirror on 370/371 causing head injury to passengers

I rarely get the 370 or 371 bus but about 3 months ago, I used the 371 to go to Altrincham for a medical appointment. When I exited the bus, turning right as I did so, something hit my head and made quite a reverberating noise. IT WAS THE OFFSIDE WING MIRROR!! I was stunned - literally. I swear I could see stars. I walked a few steps, then stopped and absorbed what had happened, looking back at the stationery bus, puzzled and with my head now throbbing. The wing mirror appeared to sticking out, right in front of the right hand door, at head level. An elderly lady approached me, telling me she too had been hit by the mirror!

I went to my appointment and told the medic what had happened and she could see how shaken up and said I was in shock. My blood pressure had shot up and she made me sit and wait to calm down. My head continue to hurt and the struck site was swelling up. I also felt woozy.

To cut a long story short, I contacted Rotala (the company who own Diamond, I believe), who took weeks replying. I also had been advised by Bee Network (they were helpful) to request the video footage, which eventually I received and could see my impact with the mirror in the short clip. Rotala's response had no sympathy or concern and merely said it was an 'isolated' incident (in other words my fault) and they were satisfied with the design of the bus and of their compliance. The email was copied in to their legal department.

I had taken photos of the vehicle and spoken to a few of the bus drivers on that route and they ALL have told me, not only have several passengers had the same accident; INCLUDE ELDERLY FOLK, but that they had reported this faulty design to their company, who told them the same that they told me of how - satisfied they were there is no cause for complaint!! U-N-B-E-L-I-E-V-A-B--L-E-!

The managers at this company are vile. They are liars, lack common sense and clearly have not been legally challenged on this matter. I told them I am not going away quietly. This is a health and safety issue for members of the public.

I note all the low ratings they have here on Google (one of their bus drivers advised me to leave a review here). I also note that Rotala/Diamond have not responded to any messages.... not surprising, considering the way they have dealt with my complaint.

Big improvement!

The drivers I have had recently on the number 11 bus (Redditch) have been really friendly and helpful. Give me a chance to get sat down and put my pushchair into position. Has given my the confidence to be able to do the buses again with both children. Definitely a big improvement in the last few months!! Thank you!

The 229 between Dudley and Bilston is…Bullshinery..

The 229 between Dudley and Bilston is shocking. When you wait 45 minutes for it to show up ( they run 2 an hour......supposed to ) and you see no sign of the bus travelling in the opposite direction towards Bilston bus station .......then you are in deep brown stuff. You may as well walk....no kidding !. This ' public transport ' cowboy outfit are unfit to hold a public service vehicle licence and should be dismantled and run out of town. You have more chance of contacting the dead in your local graveyard than Diamond customer service. Dreadful, incompetent and a total crap company.

Nightmare Company

I waited well over an hour for a bus at Heathrow that never came and finally had to pay for a taxi. I asked for a refund which was agreed and, like the bus, I am still waiting for this. I have sent numerous emails and each time am told that a ticket has been created. But where is the refund??

Worst Experience Ever

My partner and I had waited for the 556, 755am bus on the 24th of January at Heathrow Airport. We waited for over 30 minutes. The bus never showed up. It's ridiculous that a timetable is displayed and no buses are showing up.

One of the worst public transport experiences I've had in a first-world country.

710 to Heathrow

I took the 710 bus from Amersham to Heathrow and I was impressed with the service. The bus was only a couple of minutes late. I am just so happy that there is some form of direct transport from where i live to the airport. I really hope this line stays running. The bus driver Pavan was also very friendly. Smooth, direct transport to Heathrow.

X50 What the hell is wrong with this…

X50 What the hell is wrong with this service. Worst service I have ever been on. Never on time. If you can’t run the service on time please change the timetables at least people don’t waste their time waiting for the due service. Unluckily I don’t have any choice but to go on this service. Always late.

Jan 2024 Flooded roads all over Worcestershire but absolutely no service updates on the Diamond app or bus tracker. I presume the 296 Stourport to Worcester isn't running but no messages on the system.
