Excellent service

The bike was delivered very quickly, was very well packaged and assembly was extremely simple. My wife was very pleased with her Xmas present!

Great service. ..bad execution

Massive thanks to matthew, lauren and nikkita!! These guys know how to deliver a great customer service and empathise when things go wrong. Only complaint I have is thattthey use yodel as a delivery service.

here's my story...

order a bike which is dispatched timely. Give to yodel, they lost it in the warehouse. Phone customer services and speak to Matthew. He was about to finish for Xmas but said he will check whilst on leave to make sure that my parcel was on its way. Phoned to ssy still not likeky (all due to yodel) lauren and nikkita then say they will despatch a new one regardless of it not being their fault. Yodel should deliver to work before 6pm. At 5.12pm the tracking updates stating noone available to receive. We have a 24.7 manned security lodge at work so complete lie by the driver. Got up at 7.30 to go to yodel warehouse where I met 2 lovely ladies who managed to get the bike off the delivery van and into my car.....stress this csused was unnecessary and the fault of yodel at each point

Christmas present failure

Terrible! Ordered a bike for Christmas. 2 days later they said it was out of stock and I'd have to find a new one. Ended up having to pay far more for exactly the same bike in a different colour. No customer service at all!

Very poor experience.

It was unfortunate that we were unable to supply the customers first choice of colour which was being promoted at a lower price by the supplier. We offered the customer an alternative colour at £65.00 less than the website selling price which was accepted. Apologies were offered for the inconvenience caused.

Mixed Feelings

On the plus side: great bike at great price, courteous and polite customer service.

On the negative side: bike delivery delayed slightly because item had to be ordered from supplier, yet bike arrived in obviously recycled packaging displaying a completely different bike. No assembly tool kit included. A specific online enquiry was never replied to (to be fair my question was answered during a follow up phone call.) No courier info or tracking no conveyed to me by default, I had to call for this specific information.

The courier concerned (UK Mail) delayed my parcel by several days without any real apology or explanation.

I took the bike to Halfords for a professional build and am pleased with the final outcome.

To surmise: discover cycling.com are clearly a professional, successful business with a strong, customer facing ethic but not all went smoothly this time.

New Bicycle

It would be helpful if everything from the seller was double checked before sending out to the buyer. The box the bicycle was in looked as if it had been opened and then poorly closed again, it was falling apart. The tube in the rear tyre was punctured and Discover Cycling have since reimbursed me the cost of getting the new tube replaced, for which I am thankful. Then there is Yodel who delivered the bicycle. It was out for delivery and I waited in all day, then discovered that 'they missed me and left a card' which was rubbish. I contacted Yodel with great difficulty and was told that the driver couldn't find the address at which point I said to the operator 'then how was he able to leave a card if he couldn't find the place' at which point he hung up. I have no problem recommending Discover Cycling in getting problems solved, if only they could provide a better courier than Yodel I could have given a 5 star review.

American classic victory wheelset

8 days to deliver. And then not the product I ordered. I was told that I was getting the 2016 version of the wheels.Looked on AC website and no such model. American classic wheelset with made in Taiwan all over the box.i won't be buying from this lot again.

Non Supply of Advertised Product

I think that it is disingenuous to advertise an item and take payment for it when it is not in stock. This occurred when I placed an order on Sunday, 11th, October for a Moon Mask LED front light. Further, it was only when I 'chased' the whereabouts of the delivery that I was informed that Discover Cycling was unable to supply it. (Friday, 16th October).
I was then told by email response that it was expected to be in stock and would be supplied on Monday, 16th October by next day delivery and I would be informed if Discover Cycling was unable to supply the light. This did not happen and after I contacted them again I was told that there would be a further delay until the end of the week.
At this point I cancelled my order and asked for a full refund which I received promptly.
On the positive side, all communication received from Discover Cycling's Customer Service team was courteous and apologetic.
