This was our 2nd delivery - the first was not good (Cassoulet) but customer services rectified our complaint extremely well. This order was for Paul Ainsworth Champagne Monkfish. The starter was lovely - although a meagre portion but acceptable as the overall dish was very tasty. The main was the monkfish and it didn't turn out particularly well as it hadn't been prepared very well and there was still a fair amount of skin on it which made it tough and unenjoyable to eat. The saffron potatoes were undercooked and not overly appealing. The clam and cockle champagne sauce was good as was the dessert.
For the price paid we were disappointed I'm afraid

A night off from cooking, New Year's Eve at home. Love Michael Roux and thought why not.
I usually cook Beef Wellington on Christmas Day, but what a fantastic treat. The whole menu was great.
Will defo be ordering again.

Great experience from receiving the parcel to the ease of preparing food.

Communication , delivery , packaging and cooking instructions first class .
Meal itself very much curate’s egg - part excellent , part disappointing to say the least .
There is a lot of bread / brioche in this menu ( more than we had realised) so left the sourdough starter untouched .
Chicken liver parfait / brioche was light and tasty .
Champagne &saffron soup was , for us , the star of the show . Really lovely .
Wellington - well frankly , a let down , whilst the beef was clearly good quality and cooked beautifully , the same cannot be said about much of the rest of the dish . Quite what the amount of cabbage inside the pastry was intended to do other than bulk out the Wellington for cosmetic reasons is beyond me . All it did manage to do was make much of the pastry soggy
The Jus was downright offensive- incredibly concentrated and “chemical”
Pudding ( more brioche) just not well executed - the pears were hard ( not firm bur hard ) and seemed to have been marinated rather than poached .
Pate de fruits - excellent .
All in all a disappointing New Year’s Eve meal . I feel certain Michel Roux Jnr would not be happy to be served this version of a menu bearing his name .

I bought the Andi Olivers luscious prawn Mac and cheese. Cooked according to instructions It was very dry and only a hint of cheese sauce. The prawns were nice but the the main taste was of pasta and spice. It was supposed to serve 4 to 6 people (changed from 6 to 8 on original description on Christmas Waitrose) but it was only enough for3 to 4 people. Poor value at £20.00 wouldn't buy again

Dishpatch delivery was prompt and well packaged. The food was exactly as ordered and turned out to be delicious on all fronts. Champagne & Saffron soup was mega. As was the Beef Wellington.
Fantastic service and support from staff at Dishpatch. Packaging and delivery excellent. Instructions easy to follow and the meal itself fantastic. Everything fresh and totally delicious.

Ordered the Michel Roux Christmas Feast and was truly disappointed in the concept and delivery. The soup was delicious but too much bread (delicious) and two scallops not the same size and too rich given the next course was a rich parfait with more bread. Beef Wellington tough, jus too rich and vegetables a bit gross. Pudding- pear in one portion not cored and inedible- couldn't cut it. More brioche!

The St John celebratory spread arrived in timely fashion, before lunch on Christmas Eve, I didn't actually eat in on Christmas Day as I had lunch out with friends, I am still working my way through it bit by bit, I don't like eating large meals so I am spinning it out, I still, on the Sunday after Christmas, have at least 2 meals to go , everything has been really delicious, easy to prepare, beautifully packaged (except I worry a bit about all the plastic, but I don't suppose there is an alternative), altogether a great treat.

After ordering food from dishpatch and have tried 5 different chefs we can honestly say we have enjoyed every one.

Had the Beef Wellington Banquet on Christmas day, well actually saved the dessert for Boxing Day. Everything was absolutely delicious, and the instructions were exceptionally good. Main course only 35 minutes! We'd also had Michel Roux's Bouef Bourguignon a couple of weeks previously, and that was alo excellent

Beef was not great in the beef Wellington and sauce had an odd taste. Much nicer when we had the same thing last Xmas

Trust in Michel Roux's cuisine. Great idea and an ideal way not to get stressed.

Very easy way to enjoy a meal at home which is comparable to a top restaurant x

Fine dining at home. Food tasted great, looked great. Easy to prepare but result was very special. My wife is increasingly unable to go out for fine dining, this preserves that experience for us at home.

Delivered on time. Well packed. Good size portions. Great value for money. Exceptional taste. The Champagne and Saffron soup with scallop was fantastic.

We’ve had five successful experiences over the year. We’re careful to choose menus we both like the look of and we’re happy to buy at the high end of the price range. The process of ordering and delivery has been gratifyingly straightforward, the ingredients are cleverly packed, the instructions clear and the food has always been good restaurant quality. It isn’t cheap but it’s cheaper than eating similar food in an upmarket restaurant. Added to which we like the fact that you can buy the wine accompaniment (or buy decent value wine from Dishpatch).
We’ve become committed consumers, we get the supper club discount and have saved more than the subscription cost. What’s not to like if you like sophisticated food?
