Dog TV It's Wonderful!

I just downloaded Dog TV on my roku, and I am immediately amazed! I have 2 doggies, one is a dachsund, male, and the other is a female mixed breed. My female has NEVER paid attention to the television...until now!!! She is enthralled!! My dachsund was interested immediately, but fell asleep! I love it!

IMO - not worth the time and energy or money.

I have an annual subscription and my French Bulldog and I enjoy watching the videos and listening to the music, but even when you subscribe you still have to sit through a ridiculous number of the same exact commercials over and over again even when you’re scrolling through options to find something to watch.
For example: If you’re watching a series of short (maybe two or three minutes) clips - you go through those same commercials after each clip.
There isn’t enough content to justify the cost which is sad, because it seems like it would be easy enough to find talented dogs and cats in order to keep it interesting. I honestly have more fun scrolling through Instagram for free than I do with DogTV repeats.
The customer service representatives are average at best. I’ve had to contact them twice (in the last six months), and they might as well not have a customer service department at all IMO.
ANYWAY, I just cancelled my annual subscription six months early — because I already know I’m not going to renew it.

Currently, those ad-supported trial videos stay visible at the top even after you subscribe, which we know is confusing! We are actually working on an update to hide those for subscribers, but our data shows that many of them continue to enjoy these 4 assets even after subscribing. Your paid subscription actually unlocks 100% ad-free library of hundreds of hours of dog content (found in the categories below the "Free" section).

Since you still have six months left on your annual plan, we would love for your pup to enjoy the full, uninterrupted library you’ve already paid for. Please reach out to us at support@dogtv.com, if you're open to it, we would love to hop on a call and personally walk you through how to access the ad-free categories so you can get the value you deserve.

This has helped my Pomsky to relax. She’s almost 4 months old n putting DOGTV on when we leave really helps her accept being alone. At night I play relaxing music on my phone n she has been sleeping for 6 plus hours without waking up.

Mixed Quality

Some of the videos are clearly very well-designed and mindful of their category, but others are just.. not. I've only been playing DOGTV for my anxious Great Pyr, Goose, for a couple of days but I have already noticed that some of the imagery is very poorly animated (jerky, unnatural movements, appendages of people/dogs going through other objects). This doesn't seem to bother Goose, but the audio is a different story.

The first sleep-specific video we watched (called "Bedtime") had an awful ringing noise in the background that I found pretty annoying and seemed to make Goose a little restless as well. I wanted to stick it out and see if his restlessness was unrelated, but that same video then added in what sounded like a distant fire alarm! Literally a repeated blaring, buzzing, alarm. Why?? Goose had started to settle down but jerked his head up and looked at the TV with pinned ears and fearful body language. No thank you. Other relaxation and sleep-encouraging videos seem okay so far. He responds very well to the "Slumber" episode! I'll stick it out for now, but I'm not a fan of needing to review content for triggering sounds.

We have passed your specific comments regarding that audio directly to our production team to investigate. We take feedback like this very seriously as we strive to create the best environment for anxious dogs like Goose.

Regarding the audio: because dogs hear frequencies that humans don't, our content is scientifically crafted using specific frequencies and soundscapes designed to appeal to canine ears. Sometimes, what sounds unusual to us is intentionally layered to help dogs mask outside noises or encourage deep relaxation. However, your observation that Goose seemed restless is important to us, our goal is always ears down and tails relaxed during relaxation episodes!

We’re also working hard on our animations to ensure they match the high quality of our live-action footage. We appreciate you sticking it out with us and helping us improve. If you notice anything else, please don't hesitate to reach out to us at support@dogtv.com.

Best customer service!!

Some of the best customer service I've ever received!! My dog (and I) love DogTV! I play the live stream for my pup while I'm away at work and have noticed it help especially with her separation anxiety. The customer service team was so thoughtful about approaching a problem I was having on my tv. Would recommend to all pet owners!!

Bryn and DogTV are truly phenomenal

Bryn and DogTV are truly phenomenal! They have been engaged in resolving the apps functionality on my Samsung tv. Bryn has reached out, kept in contact and gone above and beyond to make the situation right. DogTV offered to send me a streaming device to get us back to functional and able to enjoy the app. This is hands down the best customer service I’ve ever had. If you’re looking for a streaming service that cares, you’ve found it. Thank you all for your support and thank you for making the effort to resolve the problem. DogTV is the best!

Puppy TV Time

My 8 month old puppy loves watching the other dogs play. I can put on DogTV and sit down to read or eat while the puppy watches TV, something I have not been able to do since I got her at 2 months.

EVERY DOG OWNER NEEDS DOGTV!

Great customer Service! My dog, Maddie loves DogTV. She will actually go to the remote and look at the TV. You just mention "DOGTV" and she jumping around waiting for you to tune into the app. Love the Relaxation segments and the music. SHE IS HAPPY WHEN WE LEAVE; NO anxiety and not lonely when we need to be gone for a few hours. So much to explore and I highly recommend DOGTV to any and all dog and cat owners. IT IS THE BEST!!!!

Hard to cancel - Read the fine print

My dog was bored of dogtv and prefers person tv — watching me or looking out the window. I saw their annual fee go through my credit card and decided to cancel. It took some time to figure out how to do that. The information is buried and while i eventually found options via sign up method those didn’t work.
I found and replied to a marketing email and had a prompt reply (not that person’s job so kudos there!) that they don’t offer pro-rated reimbursements. It took several back and forth emails to learn that I was outside of the May 2025 auto renewal window and have the unused service until May 2026. There is no partial refund of the $75 annual fee because it’s all in the contractual fine print. The money saved on an annual contract isn’t worth it if you can’t get a pro-rated reimbursement - which frankly seems logical. So buyer beware and read the fine print.

We also sincerely apologize for the difficulty you encountered when trying to cancel your subscription, this can be done in the Account settings area on the device you originally signed up on. We are continuously working to make our cancellation process clearer, and your feedback is appreciated.

Regarding the annual fee and reimbursement, our terms and conditions, which are agreed upon at the time of purchase, state that annual subscriptions are non-refundable after the initial trial period.

As a general recommendation, we always encourage taking advantage of our 7-day free trial. This allows you to assess if DOGTV is a good fit for your dog before any charges apply. Alternatively, starting with our monthly subscription option provides greater flexibility, and you can always upgrade to the discounted annual plan once you're confident your dog is "hooked."

They have billing issues and cut off my service after I paid. They are so feckless when it comes to simple matters and don’t have customer service so you have to go back and forth via email which is annoying. They are not worth my time or money.
