Great duvet good thing is the…

Great duvet good thing is the measurement is actually a superking which I purchased I have now bought 2 duvets from other retailer which were only king size measurements despite purchasing superking and Debenhams did not want to know about the issue so quality is always with Downtown no matter what you buy and the collection service was efficient too and friendly. Very pleased with the item and service

King size bed

Very helpful at Boston downtown, always polite and friendly, got my bed today it’s fabulous, the staff are always helpful here in every department cannot fault them , two men bought it this morning , they were nice guys respected our property

Happy with the furniture and the service we received from Downtown

After some issues with the original delivery, which were swiftly dealt with by the Downtown team, the replacement sideboard was delivered by Kevin and Reuben who were friendly, polite and extremely helpful. They unpacked and positioned the sideboard correctly for us. We are very happy with the new furniture and the service we received from Downtown.

Very Disappointed.

Very Disappointed.
Waited 5 months for the sofa.
No updates within 5 months .
Went to the store in Grantham where ordered to ask if it was still ordered .
Then an email stating rest of payment or no sofa . First communication in 5 months .
Payed , delivery within 3 days as already item arrived , email said they would ring day before for slot .
No phone call !!!!.
Turned up and box was open !.
Thought after 5 months sofa made in uk
Box stated from China !
Will not order again.

Your order had an estimated delivery timeframe of 18/05–25/05 and arrived with us on 21/05, within the advised lead time. We would normally only contact customers prior to receiving the goods if there is an issue affecting the order. As is standard practice, we contacted you when the item arrived with us and was ready for delivery, full payment is required before goods can be dispatched, which is why we requested the outstanding balance at that stage. Once payment was received, the delivery was booked into the first available delivery slot.
I appreciate your disappointment regarding the length of time taken for the sofa to arrive. The sofa you ordered is manufactured in China, which contributes to the longer lead time. This leadtime is detailed on the product page and reflected in the estimated delivery times provided at the point of purchase. However, I am sorry if there was any confusion regarding the country of origin or if your expectations differed from the information provided.
With regard to the delivery, our records show that a text message was sent on 25/05 confirming a delivery slot of 10:00am–12:00pm. I know that this may have been frustrating if you were expecting a phone call, and I am sorry if the text notification was not received.
I am also sorry to hear of your concerns regarding the condition of the packaging on arrival. While the packaging can occasionally become marked or opened during transit and handling, I understand how this may have caused concern after such a long wait. Your comments have been noted and will be shared with the relevant teams as part of our ongoing efforts to improve the service we provide.
Thank you again for your feedback. Whilst I am sorry that your experience did not fully meet your expectations, I do hope you are enjoying your new sofa.

Was asked to fit carpet in the…

Was asked to fit carpet in the afternoon turned up at 10.30 . Unable to open one of the two doors fitted up to . This used to be dealt with by fitters included in fitting or extra cost . Worth considering offering this again as some customers aren’t capable of dealing with it.

Good price. Nice items.

Found the items we wanted on a good offer on Downtown. They communicated about shipping and two of the items were delivered well packaged. They look good and we are anticipating the final item once it’s back in stock.

Easy exchange of rug purchased on-line

Ordered a rug on-line which arrived quickly and well packaged. However when I put it in my lounge I decided I had made a mistake with my colour choice. I called Downtown to enquire if I could bring it back to store and exchange for different colour. Everyone I spoke to was extremely friendly and helpful and I was advised I could exchange at store. Once at store, the representatives in the carpet/rug department were also friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. A very pleasant experience and easy, trouble-free exchange. Would definitely recommend Downtown and will be back for future purchases! Thanks very much 😊

Very happy with our new 3 piece suite from Downtown

Recently bought a 3 piece suite from Downtown and excellent experience from start to finish. Lots of relevant advice from the sales people with absolutely no pressure to place an order.
Ready slightly earlier than expected. Delivery arranged smoothly with notification of 2 hour timeslot received 24 hours in advance. Careful and friendly delivery staff who took time to make sure it was all installed correctly and we understood exactly what we'd purchased.
All in all a great experience and very happy with our new suite (apart from our cockapoo who isn't quite sure about it just yet.....)

A very positive experience.

Pleased to find that a chair I had been watching for several months had been reduced to a level I could not ignore!! Sales staff were their usual friendly selves and made the purchase an almost pleasant experience!! Delivery was punctual and the delivery team were courteous and careful, as usual. Overall a very positive experience and I feel sure will be purchasing there again soon.
