I renewed my licence through DVLA…
I renewed my licence through DVLA website and received an email from Dr Admin confirming a £14 fee. I thought they were admin for DVLA and thought it was a charge for that alone. I now have a pending payment on my account for £89. Why? Where is the agreement for this? These people are taking money unauthorised from my account!
When I try to ring, I am fobbed off with a message to say they are busy so have sent an email cancelling anything I have with them with immediate effect.
I will complain to the DVLA and go to my local media if I hear nothing back

DVLA look-a-like site? Beware of extra unseen subscription
After renewing my licence via the Gov. DVLA portal back in September i got an email from dr-admin.co.uk confirming the £14 fee payment. Presuming this was a gov handling agent i though that was that. My license arrived a few days later. All good i thought. But today i noticed a payment from my current account of £89 to Dr-Admin and looking back there was another payment made the previous month.
No idea why, No agreement made, no email conformation of any subscription, Nothing!! Just theft in plain sight!
Reading other reviews on here i'm not alone.
I've made a complaint to the DVLA on how my details have been handled through their portal.
***UPDATE***
The DVLA got back to me confirming that my application was done through a third party site and it has nothing to do with them.
Dr-Admin got in touch after this review and told me by using their site I had subscribed to their 3 x £89 plan. They also informed me that there was a 72 hour cooling off/free period.
Unfortunately as I hadn’t received any email from them informing me of my newly signed up subscription plan or the cooling off period I wasn’t able to cancel as I surely would have done.
I notice that the Dr-Admin website is no longer working which is not a good sign for them. Once again beware of these charlatans.

Well just been informed by my bank that Dr Admin have taken 89 pounds out my bank and got stopped from taking another 89 this month, didn’t even realise that I wasn’t using the genuine DVLA website as it comes up first when typing DVLA in, apparently you have 3 days to cancel or get £89 took for 3 months, nothing was mentioned about a subscription or even a cancellation policy email, but when you get in touch with them to ask for money back they state they can’t refund as you’ve cancelled your membership, how can you cancel something you didn’t know anything about, talk about covering there tracks 🤬, so fraud team are looking into it, please be aware of what company your using and read small print, AVOID at all cost

Our 17 year old son thought he was…
Our 17 year old son thought he was applying for a provisional license through the Gov website, instead the first link was DrAdmin. I was incredibly surprised to find out we paid £10 more for the provisional than we needed to but then an £89 charge 3 months later. I felt sorry for the young lady on customer service, she sounded incredibly embarrassed to take our call. I suspect she takes many calls like this. We have emailed Martin Lewis and trading standards. Even if we don’t get any money back we would like to raise awareness of this excuse for a customer service company. If I could give zero stars I would.

I thought i was on the DVLA site to order a licence, tried to cancel it but theres no way to get in touch. The bank cant stop the transaction until i speak to them which is impossible. £70 down thanks for the scam. They shouldnt be allowed to do this. They need taking down. This company is run by crooks who scam people into thinking they are using the DVLA website but are in fact a 3rd party 'admin' company who charge £89 for a 3 month 'subscription' that you are unaware of because the process is so untransparent. Don't go anywhere near them, a replacement driving licence costs £20, make sure you are on the official DVLA website, these guys pay to come top of the search engine so you think they are legit but they are anything but. I'm sure you must be aware of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, which provide for the cancellation of any online services contract within 14 days at the consumer's discretion.
Aside from the fact that it is both illegal and unethical to sign a 16 year old up to such a contract, the prevailing law provides that:
10.—(1) Before the consumer is bound by an off-premises contract, the trader—
(a)must give the consumer the information listed in Schedule 2 in a clear and comprehensible manner, and
(b)if a right to cancel exists, must give the consumer a cancellation form as set out in part B of Schedule 3.
(2) The information and any cancellation form must be given on paper or, if the consumer agrees, on another durable medium and must be legible.
(3) The information referred to in paragraphs (l), (m) and (n) of Schedule 2 may be provided by means of the model instructions on cancellation set out in part A of Schedule 3; and a trader who has supplied those instructions to the consumer, correctly filled in, is to be treated as having complied with paragraph (1) in respect of those paragraphs.
(4) If the trader has not complied with paragraph (1) in respect of paragraph (g), (h) or (m) of Schedule 2, the consumer is not to bear the charges or costs referred to in those paragraphs.
Since you failed to comply with paragraph 10 (2) in that you have neither provided a paper copy of a contract nor an email confirming contract terms, paragraph 10 (4) applies and the consumer cannot be held to bear costs or charges.
Further, and notwithstanding your failure to comply with paragraph 10, paragraph 30 allows the consumer to cancel a contract for online services within 14 days of the contract being entered into:

30.—(1) The cancellation period ends as follows, unless regulation 31 applies.
(2) If the contract is—
(a)a service contract, or
(b)a contract for the supply of digital content which is not supplied on a tangible medium,
the cancellation period ends at the end of 14 days after the day on which the contract is entered into.
The contract was entered into on August 9th, and you received notice of cancellation on August 21st. You do not have the right to disregard statutory obligations and are therefore in breach of the law.
Finally, it is very clear that your opaque terms and conditions and deliberate obfuscation are de facto a dishonest, false representation made by you in order to gain for yourselves and cause loss to another. I'm sure you are fully aware that this is the definition of fraud, as prescribed by the Fraud Act (2006).
You will immediately refund the full amount should you wish to avoid further action.

My cases shows they choose to scam people
100's of bad reviews. Not much more I can add. Unfortunately even myself who I consider savvy fell for thinking they were DVLA and missed the small print.
My review isn't about their service. It's about their customer service. I immediately emailed them asking them to cancel my account. I have proof of this.
Besides, the cancel button on their website at times gives an error (404) it's doing It right now for example.
They ignored my emails and kept charging me every few months.
I complained again and then finally got a response which when I responded I got ignored again.
They said I didn't cancel in time. Well i tried to and it's clear they can see my messages mails.
My bank and your bank will refund you. Just issue a chargeback. This company has so many claims they aren't trusted and when I paid them I got a fraud alert. That's how bad they are.
This review however is on their customer service , after I made my mistake and after I've clearly had told them to cancel. If they continue failing me then if you are someone who forgot to cancel you can imagine what service you'll get.
I'll report back once I issue the chargebacks and once customer service comes back to me if they do.
