DTAC is the WORST!!!
DTAC is the worst scamming carrier. They obscenely charge for erroneous services which were never requested and say it's the phone's fault which is an utter lie. After several months, AIS has been much better. No dropped calls and acceptable Internet access responsiveness in more areas. I'm a former mobility engineer from the US and would file a class action lawsuit against DTAC if back in the States.

A "tourist" SIM with 1,5 GB data gave not one bit of data
Bought a "happy tourist SIM" from dtac during a stay in Phuket, a main tourist area in Thailand.
I never saw one bit (literally) of data on my phone. And I did all the "right things", checked my status on the internet etc.
I did receive quite a few SMS'es - primarily form dtac - some in English and some in Thai (SIC!). The phone number worked - but the data-part failed totally. I did move around on Phuket - but never, ever found data could be received or sent.
On the wrapping there was a badge from "tripadvisor", but I never was able to find it and review it on that website!
As a tourist I will certainly not use this company's "deal" again in Thailand. My 300 bath were thrown out the window!
