Told me my policy didn't exist

Told me my policy didn't exist, whilst I'm looking online at my policy documents, told me anyone can Google their phone number and make up a policy number. Left me stranded 2 hours away from home refusing to help.

Would actually give NO stars

Would actually give NO stars. This company is disgusting. I paid for breakdown cover for my daughter's car 4 years ago. Unbeknownst to us (as emails must have gone to junk mail) we have been charged every year since for a service we did not want. The company automatically put auto renew when we don't want it. We emailed to say we wanted to cancel but we're told it had to be done via the portal. Finally managed to cancel most recent policy but it also appears we have 3 current policies for different things, which weren't agreed to. They say, as we didn't cancel when the email was sent (to junk) we are still liable to charges. We had to pay £25 to cancel 3 policies. Robbery in daylight. Stear clear.

Shocking support cover

Shocking support cover , i have an e mail with my cover showing in writing what i am covered for , but when my son locked his keys in the car ( which is covered ) and spoke to call assist , the said he wasn’t covered , although i sent call assist the e mail showing i was covered , they said on there system it wasn’t , so wanted to charge him a minimum charge of £120 for a call out , he had just finished work and was in the centre of Middlesbrough, i compliant and recieved an e mail saying I didn’t have the cover , shocking support , shocking how they have handled my complaint ,
Very sharp practice , not customer first , more customer last

Cannot make a claim for my damaged…

Cannot make a claim for my damaged mobile. Filled in the form as advised, their auto message states I’ll receive a call within 2 working days, 5 working days on still waiting. Every option on their phone refers you back to the “Portal” then cuts you off. I think this company may be a scam so I will be making the ombudsman aware!

Low price first year to then trap you…

Low price first year to then trap you into a forever auto renew at inflated prices and monthly payments!

Not possible to cancel the auto renewal on portal

Renewal invitation sent to junk folder and payment terms changed to monthly payments to hide the inflated price change

I would give no stars if possible

I would give no stars if possible. You cannot talk to anyone regarding cancelling policy. If you try online they charge you cancellation fee.All their emails are auto generated and no help.

Do not use this company for your cover

Do not use this company for your cover. They quote you a cheap price but they send you an email asking you to send them a photo of your dashboard. This email automatically went to my junk mailbox. Because I didn’t send the photo they charged me £8.99. This was more than my actual cover cost. Once they charge you this they then automatically start your cover, which means my cover was for less than the year I was quoted. If I needed their services for this first month, I wouldn’t have been able to use them despite me thinking I was covered. They do not try to call you, just an email. They essentially want you to miss this so they can charge you more and have a way to get out of covering you, if you need their services inside that first month. Disgrace.

Absolute scammers

I have used Dynamo since 2021 for breakdown. In that time I have used them once without any problem. I sold the car that was covered in October 2025 and when I went onto the portal to cancel the policy I found it would have cost me £35 to cancel so for that reason I decided to keep it running until the renewal in March 2026. I went onto the portal when the renewal notification came through to cancel. I cancelled what I thought was the breakdown cover. However, the day of the renewal I had £92 taken from my bank account. I emailed Dynamo advising that I had cancelled the policy only to be told I had only cancelled an excess policy. When I looked on the portal there were three policies breakdown, guaranteed car hire and motor excess policy which had been added at renewal last year. I was not aware of these additional policies. As others have said it is impossible to speak to anyone and the response they give to emails are rude and not helpful. Steer clear of these scammers

Friendly prompt assistance

I am
with Dynamo breakdown cover. This was my first home start service call out.
Within two hours of contacting them, A mechanic came out and diagnosed the issue.
The assistance was informative and thorough.
It was easy to get through to them. They also called me afterwards as a follow up call.

Absolute scam artists

Absolute scam artists, even after you cancel autorenew they ignore it and keep trying to steal money from your account, this has happened 3 years in a row now and just recieved email that they will try and do it again. Even after showing them proof that I cancelled autorenew! I know someone else they have done the same thing to for 4 years in a row, she had to change bank account in the end. Do not let these scum bags scam you, stay well away, they are the lowest of the low, human pond life, most definitely inbreds and belong in jail.

Breakdown recovery - A* service

First time I’ve ever called breakdown in nearly 40 years of driving and it was very straightforward. Assistance arrived within 25 minutes of my call. It was a faulty light unit and so I was assisted in taking the car to my chosen garage and then given a lift back home. Very polite and professional. Fully recommend.
