This company has terrible customer…

This company has terrible customer service and is misleading.
At the time of my booking, it states that milage is unlimited. It is stared again on my confirmation receipt I got via email.

Once I get to the place to get the car, they tell me it's only unlimited for people who don't live in the state or have a return ticket.
Obviously if I had known that, I would haven't even booked the rental. I then cancel it because I'm not going to pay 200 dollars more for a rental car to do their misleading advisements.

The customer service representative was rude and didn't want to refund me but says she would as a "nice gesture". She says it was stated and it was....on a random link entitled "rental conditions" on the side. No one would assume part of those conditions would be it's unlimited only for certain people unless it was stated or indicated in the original listing. As a nice gesture.. don't put unlimited mileage on your listing if there are stipulations to that. It's misleading.

Do not use Easirent Rent a Car

Do not use Easirent Rent a Car. At least in Houston. It is not worth the saving. There is nothing ease about it. I personally have not ever writing a grievance in my life but felt compelled to warn the public.

Let me list my personal experience.

1. They do not having their own bus service. The work out of Court yard by Marriot. They do not have a shuttle service, Easirent uses Marroit’s Shuttle service which only leaves at the top of and the bottom of the hour. This means that in the best case scenario you will wait 15 minutes for the shuttle. More than likely ½ hour. Now in my specific case they decided that night not to go to terminal C, it is only after 20-30 minutes of waiting, after calling them, there you have to take a train to terminal A & B were they eventually show up and drive your 10 minutes to the hotel.

2. Upon arriving to the Marriet the company has a very small office that says business center in the door. Looks like a normal hotels business center. Do not make the mistake of opening the door and waiting inside. I my case the worker eventually showed up and chastise me of sliding the door open and refused to rent me a car. This is despite having prepaid. When you ask Tanisha (if that was her real name, no name tag) their representative she said: “That she will make a note in the computer but would not provide me with any documentation”. At this time I felt it necessary to call Travelocity who should obtain a refund on my behalf.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

Useless bunch of people. You will NOT get a straight forward service with these scam artists. After what seems like the worst 2 weeks trying to resolve the most basic issues I have finally managed to close my booking, only after a total of 2.6 hours on hold!

They are completely understaffed, unprofessional and quite frankly the worst rental company I have ever used. Tried scamming me out of £300 for an issue I was already told was resolved.

This company are professional scammers…

This company are professional scam artists, this is the main purpose of their existence. The rental service is a front. Please, please, please don't be fooled by the low prices they advertise. They lure you in with them and then if they can't get more money from you they say they have no vehicles available. I rent cars regularly, I've tonnes of experience dealing with rental companies, don't think you will be alright dealing with them this one time, you'll regret it. I booked and paid for a Class D car and received a Class C car(nothing else available andnot their problem). Secondly, I was told I booked through an US website - I live in Ireland,
i booked it from Ireland, and the price I got didn’t apply, where does it say that on a) the website or b) the confirmation email. Thirdly, I was told as I booked through an US website I needed a US credit card, which I had, but all of a sudden, I needed a letter from the US bank. Where does it say anything about that on your website or the confirmation email you send following a booking? It's one thing after another until you are paying them well over the price reputable firms charge, for old tatty unserviced cars. Don't be their next victim!

Bad service all around

Bad service all around - Booked a car by EASIRENT in Heathrow Airport via CarJet.com when I got to the car rental they said you must be Brian.... we don't have a car for you and it is not our problem!??. since I booked the car early and I then arrived at the airport late that evening which I had booked for, I don't see why EASIRENT or CarJet.com could not have looked into this way before this and at least had let me know? Now stranded at Heathrow, an 2 hours journey by car had become 10 hours journey as there was a train strike in the UK, just my luck!! I didn't get to my modelling job and had to pay them compensation for the studio and earnings lost, this was last month I have been ringing Spain where CarJet.com is based now 8 times which also cost me money and been speaking to different people trying to get my money back and they say the same to me, that I will hear from them in a few days and after week upon week I call them back, I also ask for a supervisor and they say there is none at this stage, now after all this time and phone calls it is becoming ridiculous as they all within 20 seconds realise it is their mistake when speaking to them on the phone and say they have to investigate this with EASIRENT, but now after so many weeks!! they still haven't rectify the problem and this is still ongoing…

Been trying to get my refund but now nearly a year later I have given up. I wish the company the worst KARMA for how they treat people!

Easirent Van Rental Shannon Airport…

Easirent Van Rental Shannon Airport Booking Number: 2518616 JUNE 2nd 2022
I really should have paid attention to the reviews of this firm ….
Our delayed Ryanair flight resulted in us arriving at Shannon late afternoon , an hour and a half late. There should have been no worries as Easirent terms state they hold bookings for 4 hours and their office is open until 12.30am. WRONG !!!
On arrival I found no one was at Easirent Shannon and discovered everyone had GONE HOME FOR WEEKEND!
After contacting their Dublin Office I was informed that our booking had been treated as  “no show”and staff would only collect us if we paid an additional 120 Euros. Faced with this virtual blackmail and the prospect of being stranded, I very reluctantly agreed to pay this extortionate fee.
BTW forget about complaining to their Customer Services who totally dismissed this complaint….I suggest you definitely dismiss the idea of booking with these guys.

Avoid at all costs - there are plenty of alternative hire companies who won't try and scam you

Don't make the same mistake as I did and hire from this dreadful company.
I hired a car 3 weeks ago, firstly it took 45 minutes to get the car picked up ( not a one-off as the gentleman in front of me had been there for an hour. ).
The 'checklist' filled out by their operative had everything checked to say it had been 'thoroughly' checked over. ( Their version of 'thoroughly' may differ somewhat to yours...)
On the Edinburgh City Bypass on the way home, I tried to clean the windows...but the bottle was bone-dry...despite the checklist saying it was full.
Obviously I was starting to lose faith in the 'thoroughness' of the checking.
I didn't think to check the roadworthiness of a vehicle I'd paid for - silly me? ( In hindsight, maybe I should've checked the insurance and tax too... )
On phoning the optimistically named 'customer service' on arriving home - this time I managed managed to get through in only 30 minutes - I reported this, and also that the car stank of smoke.
It would appear that this wasn't noted....
I returned the car a day early... having filled up the windscreen bottle... so returned it in better condition than it had been hired to me.
Two weeks later out of the blue, having had zero contact from Easirent, I received a call from a debt-collection agency looking for £360 !!
Apparently, there was damage to one of the tyres. Not when I left it there wasn't...
But if you have ben unlucky enough to hire from this lot... PLEASE take photos of everything when you leave so they can't make up anything to yous they have to me
There wasn't....and let's face it, if it was the same 'thorough' employee that checked it on the way out, I'd be amazed if he/she was even looking at the right car.
The debt collector said they'd look into it so I thought I'd call Easirent myself and see where the mistake was.
After nearly an hour a Margaret, who claimed to be a manager, finally picked up the phone.
She said that their policy was that if there was damage they would contact the customer, and then if they were unable to resolve with the customer they would then pass to the debt collection agency.
She also said that every vehicle was thoroughly checked before and after every hire... Really Margaret? Are you sure?
She also inferred that it was my responsibility according to DVLA to assure the roadworthiness of a vehicle... I had naively accepted the checklist from the 'thorough' employee...
They haven't even followed their own policies, and even putting to one side the fact that there was no damage ( and the car was actually MORE roadworthy when I brought it back )... if someone could please tell me where they buy their tyres...
Fiat 500 tyres are available for around £50 fitted... Blackcircles are great by the way Easirent... 7 times cheaper than where you get yours from ( just trying to help )
Easirent make up a figure of £360 for ONE TYRE!!
Notwithstanding this...as above, there was zero damage to the car, and clearly Easirent who don't even follow their own policy of contacting the customer, are just out to scam anyone they can
I'm not one for leaving reviews just for the sake of it, but companies acting like this need to be stopped

DO NOT USE

DO NOT USE. Van hired from Wigan was unsafe and would not pass an MOT. CK14YZM van I hired at 5pm and returned the following morning had no choice to use it as was house moving in evening.

1. Driver light - out

2. Right Indicator - Faulty

3. Handbrake sensor faulty - kept going off whilst driving even though handbrake was fully down.

4. Cracked light at rear

5. Lots of damage to passenger side so when checking at beginning of hire, the guy said i will just 'write off; the passenger side.

When I returned the vehicle there was no apology, just an ok, tell the guy inspecting. When i told the guy inspecting, he rolled his eyes as if to say, tell me something else.

Complained no acknowledgement of email.. 2 weeks later still had no formal response. Chased twice. 1st time said being investigated. 2nd time write a formal letter to head office (which the address is them at Wigan). They don't care once they had your money.

Absolutely useless

Absolutely useless.
Booked a van in Edinburgh and was called to push back my booking by 2 hrs... no big problem, until an hour before my booking when they again called to say they didn't actually know when the van would be available.
Left in the lurch at the last minute on a Sunday when I have no other options.
Customer service zero stars.
If they say they will call you back don't hold your breath!

DO NOT USE EASIRENT!!!

DO NOT USE EASIRENT!!!! NOT TO BE TRUSTED AND DOESN'T EVEN DESERVE ONE STAR

They told me I needed to get a bus from Gatwick and it is so far from the airport it shouldn’t be classed as Gatwick.

On arrival to the tinpot office i was told I couldn’t rent the vehicle and had to go through a long process to prove who I was.

Then I was charged £140 ontop of my existing booking because I didn’t have a master card.

The car was ok but the entire process was a nightmare after a long flight.

How they are on the rentcar website I do not know, they should be closed down.

Just pay the extra few quid for a legitimate company.

NEVER AGAIN …. TOTAL DISGRACE ..

Absolute scam artists!

Absolute scam artists!! Try to make you pay for things you’ve already paid for trying to pull fast ones, when you arrive there’s extra charges on everything which you are not advised of before coming and paying online! Had to pay an extra 160 at the desk after already paying 100 online. Very unhelpful staff and very slow.

Car hire at Belfast airport

When we arrived at the airport we were informed that they didn't have the medium-sized car that we had booked and all they could offer us was a Fiat 500. Disgraceful how companies can take money from you without even making sure that they have the product available. Unsurprisingly there was another client in their office who was having exactly the same problem as us. They blamed this entirely on the third party that we booked with and assured us that they would inform them of the mix-up and make sure we got our money back. Nearly 2 months later we are still getting fobbed off and they are refusing to confirm that the car we purchased was unavailable. I urge you to avoid this company.

We booked to hire a car from easirent…

We booked to hire a car from easirent in Northern Ireland, very easy to book, however, when we arrived we were inform that the car we'd booked wasn't available as the previous rental had extended the use! we were offered the only car they had left a fiat 500, which was a lot smaller than the car we'd booked a ford focus, we were told it was this or nothing, put on the spot we took the car, rather than be stranded at the airport, the car was not able to take 4 adults & was only used to drive us to our friends, where we had to take their car. on reflection it would have been cheaper for us to use taxis. I would not recomend easirent & would never use again.

Easi rip off van hire

Never had a van ready at Bootle so had to get a taxi to Speke. No offer of a drop off cost £25 in taxi. Returned the van today and asked to be dropped off and got told no, even tho they were going to Bootle and going through were we wanted dropping off. So had to get another taxi home costing £30. The price on rental is not the price you pay they add on when they have you there. Stay away from this hire company they rip you off. Need to get the staff in from Liverpool Speke for some customer service because there is none.

Satisfactory rental from Heathrow branch August 2021

Polite, helpful staff, who made no attempt to try to sell me anything extra or to charge for phantom scratches. There was another customer waiting who had lost his wallet including driving license and credit cards and they were even prepared to try to help him! Also good is that they were OK with us dropping off the car in the night before the office opened.
The biggest negative is that the free shuttle bus from Terminal 5 runs only once an hour in the middle of the day (every 30 min in early morning) and takes 30 min to get there. There are alternatives via local buses and Tube, but they take some researching and are not free. The car was also rather battered (big dent in wheel rim, crudely repaired wing mirror), if you mind about that kind of thing, but clean inside.

Despite having booking forms, no van and no staff to honour the contract.

It's a Bank holiday weekend and it was hard to find a van to help my son move, so despite the bad reviews I just needed to get a Luton Van. Easi Rent were very helpful whilst taking my order and my deposit, but I arrived this morning at 8am to an empty office and no van. Absolutely diabolical. Nobody to answer the phone either. After 20 mins with no sign of anyone I had to phone around and find another van. Do yourself a favour and try Gatwick Car and Van Rental, cheaper, unlimited mileage and great people to deal with. I'll be on the phone Tues to get my deposit back,, let's see how that goes!
