Was not able to pay for the parking due…

Was not able to pay for the parking due to their problems and actively tried to get in contact with them and pay. Ended up with a fine and they are not at all forthcoming. Their app did not work and the waiting time for a phone call was 30 minutes to get in contact with their support.

Hacked details being used - cybercrime

My car details have been used (are currently being used) to pay for parking in Czech Republic. I have never been there. I can’t delete the app, because apparently I’m parked in Czech Republic. So not happy that my details have been leaked and will delete app when I’m no longer parked in Czech Republic ( even though I’ve never ever been there).
Have no way to contact the customer support as I’m not local to Sweden but have filed a police report in my home country (where my car is parked)

Avoid at all cost

Avoid at all cost. They charged a service fee of 4.95 when the parking cost was only 1.47. They seem to have suddenly started adding this fee to every parking event, no matter how small. Best to delete their app and never look back.

Awful company, bad app

Even when their machine and app don’t work at the same time right next to the emergency of a hospital they are happly giving 90€ tickets to people that are sick and need help. It works like a mafia/casino and has the worse customer service. Hur kan man låta de äga parkeringhus vid SJUKHUSET?

I received a fine of 900 SEK despite…

I received a fine of 900 SEK despite having already paid and possessing a receipt. The company responsible for the application made errors during an update that affected my profile. Now, they are wrongfully accusing me of entering my information incorrectly. My surname was mistaken for the registration plate number, and the registration plate number was replaced with my car's nickname, among other mistakes.

Upon reaching out to their support, their response was highly disrespectful and dismissive.

I am genuinely appalled. How is it possible for our cities or those who handle our tax money to engage with such a company?

Double Charging

There is a quirk in the EasyPark system that causes their system to create a double charge the first time you use them. We were in Tromso, Norway and the only parking near the Polar Museum was operated by EasyPark. We pulled into the lot and downloaded the app. We then started the online meter for our parking. We also used it that same day when we parked at Polaris, the aquarium in Tromso. EasyPark charged our credit card for both parking activations. After we got home Hertz then attempted to charge us for the same parking; I showed them that I had already paid but they said EasyPark would not reimburse them for their charge. I contacted EasyPark and this is what they said:
Hi James.
Thanks for your inquiry.
The space in the license plate has no meaning and does not affect the parking registration as the camera systems/controllers also do not register them.
From what I can see here, you have been read in on camera at Pellerinbryggene where you actually were, and then you've gone ahead and manually started a parking in a place you weren't. Had you had camera parking enabled in your own app, it would not have been read in on hertz's account, but your own. It is your own responsibility to make sure your parkings are started at the correct place, as the system will not know it outside of cameras.
I am sorry we cannot help you with this.

To translate Patrick's response: we can double charge you because before you activated the parking on the app our camera registered your license plate. That is correct, I pulled into the parking lot, downloaded the app, and started the parking BUT because I had not registered the license plate before entering the lot, they went ahead and charged Hertz as the car belonged to them.

Scam

Falun, Sweden, kaserngården.

I relied on the app which assigned me this parking lot. The app clearly showed the spot as okay to park,
I did verify that I was on the correct spot. correct parking code etc. didn't enter anything manually at all.

When I came back to my car, there was a fine for SEK800 placed on my windshield.

I immediately took shots of the fine, and used the option in the app to "report a fine", attaching the shots.

I got a response back in a few days that said:
"We think it is very sad that you have been subjected to a control fee, but unfortunately we have no influence over these. If you use the map function, you get suggestions on which areas are near your position in the map, if any of them is the area where you actually parked, you choose this."

This was EXACTLY what I did, my parking was purely based on the apps suggestion.

They took money from my account for the parking.

Now I know that easypark is a useless scam company, and that their app just takes up completely unnecessary space in the phone's storage memory.

Update: easypark is owned by the same oligopoly that owns everything else that is related to car parking in Sweden.
And, if you are wrongfully fined, they just couldn't care less, in fact, they use LAWFARE to steal your money.

Fined for relying on the app suggestions

The snowfall was at its worst with very poor visibility. You could barely lift your head to view anything on the road. I was getting late for an appointment that I had to attend so I relied on the app's suggestion to park my car on the street. I had a yellow slip on my screen when I returned. Now, I have paid for parking at the spot and also got a control fee for the same. The app clearly shows that the spot is parkable. The app should have not listed that part of the street as not allowed to park, which it does on some places. My parking was purely based on the trust I had on the apps suggestions. I sent in an email to EP support with screenshot from the app proving my claim. I get a response back that nothing could be done about it. This is a shameful as business is trying to beat around the bush rather than fixing the issue. The primary focus would be to acknowledge that there is a bug in the app that suggests invalid parking as valid. I expect someone to look into this bug and try to solve my issue too.

Parked in Jönköping

Parked in Jönköping, community parking lot. Max fee per day as advertised on the machine is 50kr, per hour fee is 10kr

I parked for just under 25hrs. So expect to have to pay about 60kr.
Easypark charged me 112.50kr instead.
I could have parked double the time for that fee.
On top of this I got a parking fine of 600kr!
So Easypark charges me for more than 2 days and does such a lousy job I even get fined after 25hrs (fine specified I did not pay via mobile either).
Thats what I call 'easy money' for Easypark.
Of course I dispute the fine, but honestly Easypark should take care of this! Please reimburse the overpaid parking fee plus the 600kr fine!

Easypark or Easyticket? The app has serious flaws that can result in a parking ticket.

If you share multiple cars the Swedish android app Version 16.0.0 (1600001) isn't very good at making sure your parking the car you want to. This is a serious flaw and results in parking tickets. If you have mulitple cars it doesn't prompt you which car to park. Some other apps have this feature. Also the car being park can be difficult to read in poor light so you could miss this. Park the wrong car and my experience is you can get a ticket that Europark won't forgive.

It is also possible for two people to park the same car at the same time at the same location. This can happen if you share cars and one driver has selected the wrong car. Even if you have evidence of this Europark refused to do anything about my 600kr ticket.

I am pretty sure the app used to prompt which car you want to park. I checked that it does this on my friends Iphone.

Correct ticket but still fine!

Parked on the correct spot and got fined.
Parked at the parking lot at Hamnplanen, Marstrand (Sweden) When i arrived later i seee that i got a fine.

I did verify i was on the correct parking spot. Correct number of the parking code, correct number license plate. Still got a fine!!!

Have sent a claim to easy park but i also need to send paper mail to police station that handles this fine.

basically usury in their parking…

basically usury in their parking violation fees, Don't bother trying to appeal. Highly recommend you do not use any of their lots. beware of app pay only lots. if you cannot get the app for some reason you will get a ticket and impossible to get it reversed.

Charged twice in Copenhagen, solved later

When traveling to Copenhagen with my car registered in Sweden, I parked at Vesterport (Q-Park) and paid for the parking at one of the machines by credit card.

Few days later I discovered that Easypark charged me also via that app, even if I had never started a parking on my mobile phone.

Of course, my plate was registered with Easypark, but it that legal to charge automatically? I guess, not.

I have written to Easypark Denmark about that. They answered the next day, asked me to send the bank transaction receipt, and refunded the amount paid through the app.

The worse coustmer service ever .

(Sweden) The worst customer service ever.
After using the gps pin to pay for my car, i got fine because the place on the map is not the same as it showen on the sign after showing them screenshot still no answer when i wanted to talk to their boss the said send him Mail stupid way to communicate.
The boss name is Mattias Larsson as the one she talked to me claimed.
