I received a bill for a hefty customs…

I received a bill for a hefty customs duty. It can't be helped, but it's an unexpected expense. When I buy other items overseas, the price including customs duties is displayed at checkout, but that wasn't the case this time.

As our products are shipped directly from our factory in Türkiye, customs procedures may apply depending on the shipping method selected. During checkout, we provide multiple shipping options, including a “FedEx Priority + Customs Fees” option where all import duties and taxes are prepaid by edelkrone on the customer’s behalf. We understand that in your case, the FedEx Economy option was selected, which clearly indicates that customs duties and taxes are not included and will be paid by the customer upon import.

Great experience overall

Great experience overall. The build quality of Edelkrone products is excellent and you can really feel the attention to detail. I’ve been using their gear for video production and it helps achieve smooth, professional shots very easily. Also, the design is very smart and portable, which makes it perfect for creators on the go. Highly recommended.

Not a good solution for panoramas

Great customer service but the advertising is a bit misleading. I bought the device to do gigapixel photography but the app is so limited in its functionality that it is the worst option on the market for this task. Even the most basic robotic rigs will auto calculate a panorama but this app requires manual calculation.

Saves hours of editing

As a hyperlapse creator, doing everything manually takes a lot of time in post-production.
With the Dolly One, the movement is so precise that the footage comes almost perfect straight out of camera.

It saves me a huge amount of editing time and lets me focus more on creativity.

Quality Control but Excellent Service

Quality Control really needs to be improved. Had to replace all of the main components. The good news is that they were very open, responsive and willing to help me with my issues. Their customer service was top notch

Edelkrone support got in touch with me and advised me to pay more attention to the shipping option.
To everyone out there: Really let them handle customs if possible. ;-) It will save you time and money.

Great Performance with Smooth International Purchase

I purchased the DollyONE v2 directly from the edelkrone website.
Even though it was an international order, the payment process was smooth and easy, and the FedEx delivery was fast and reliable.

However, I was disappointed with the condition of the package upon arrival. It appears that customs inspection was done roughly, and the box was cut open and then poorly re-sealed with tape.

As an existing edelkrone user, I was also quite confused at first because the DollyONE v2 does not connect to the previous app. I had to search and find the new edelkrone App v2 myself, which made the initial experience less smooth.

Additionally, since the app is still not a fully stable release, there are some limitations that could be improved.

That said, I am very satisfied with the performance of the DollyONE v2 itself.

My Experience

The products I purchased do their Job very well but what I really wanna highlight is the priority to customer satisfaction at Edelkrone. I missed that I had to pay 25% extra on tariffs - which to be honest would have made my decision even more difficult. But the way the team at Edelkrone handled ist was just great.

I wish more companies would treat their customers like that.

Worked immediately as advertised

Very stable rig, the Dolly One v2. A litle heavy. Makes one want additional heads for complex moves. I will initially solve that by using OBSBOT Tail 2 with tracking or my Osmo Pocket 3 with gimbal and tracking. Nicely engineered Edelkrone.
