Huge thank you for all your patience in coaching my son this year. He seems to really value the time he spends on the tutoring sessions and it has definitely boosted his confidence – not only in certain subjects but also from the help you’ve given him in just getting his head around revision plans and putting things in perspective a bit.

George was a dynamite tutor. He fuelled up Ethan's learning capacity with full power at a short space of time. Ethan had learned to analyse complicated texts and comprehension questions to give well-interpreted answers. He had learned to analyse paintings and use sensory imagery and emotive language for descriptive writings and narratives. We especially liked his intelligent mnemonic 'CAD' and '5Ws' which helped memorise the essential technique to make a good piece of writing.
George's English grammar was excellent and he was knowledgeable. Ethan learned not only reading comprehension and writing with him, but also general knowledge, history etc.
Finally, George's lovely, polite and patient personality was an outstanding merit. Ethan and I liked George immensely.
I would easily give George a full mark for his tutoring.
We wished we would cross paths with him again in future.

Jemma Smith is a professional tutor and takes care to explain processes and answers questions patiently. Ms Jemma Smith was very helpful and thorough. The sessions provided me with invaluable help and advice and aided me in passing the Henrietta Barnett exam. I would recommend her.

The Education Hotel offer a unique service with ‘Project based tutoring’.

We wanted our son to develop project-based skills- to understand how to undertake research, evaluate authentic sources, collate results, and write an article.

We employed The Education Hotel to help with University advice. We were very happy. The mentor paired with my daughter was perfect, both in knowledge and personality. We would use them again.

We used The Education Hotel for our eldest daughter who was struggling with a topic in her A level Maths. From the initial email to setting up the tutor we found the company incredibly responsive to our queries and the emphasis on finding the right tutor from a holistic perspective was impressive. Given the excellent service and skills of our tutor our daughter only needed two sessions but we were always aware that both the Education Hotel and the tutor were available if needed. Education hotel is an amazing company who carefully try to understand your needs and assign a tutor that would suit you. I was very pleased with how George prepared my son for the 11 plus interviews. My son felt prepared and confident during interviews. He was able to secure a place in all 8 schools he applied to including the likes of Habadashers, Westminster and Mts to name a few. I have used Education Hotel tutors for a couple of years at varying levels. The tutors are very experienced and Jemma is great at giving the initial guidance before recommending the appropriate tutor. My kids have always had success and achieved the desired objective after their assistance. The tutors assist in entries into top London Schools such as Westminster, St Paul’s, NLCS, Haberdasher’s and others. They also assist with University entrances and interview practice as well. I would totally recommend them. Definitely worth giving Jemma a call and talking through your requirements. A huge thank you to the team!

I wanted to thank you so much for your input. My daughter seems a lot more confident, not just about the subjects she has had tutoring for, but in the way I can hear her speak to others. She has always been very quiet in class, so I think individual sessions have really helped her find a voice. I have also been impressed by Education Hotel generally- you have been able to find good tutors in different subjects very quickly for us, and communication has been great.

Education Hotel have been very helpful in our home education journey. Jemma works hard to find the right tutor, although the 'personal chemistry' requirements of our teenage son for one-to-one tuition cannot always be met. Zoom sessions worked less well for us during lockdown as he was less willing to engage without the 'in person' contact. EH have been good at keeping in touch.

More than just a Tutor, originally needed help with A level Chemistry, has also been instrumental in helping my son organise his study sessions, helpful advice on taking exams and entering further education, tailored very much to the students individual needs.

We learned about Education Hotel when Jemma-Zoe Smith responded to an enquiry I made on a Facebook home schooling page. I was looking for a Maths GCSE tutor for my daughter who had possible Asperger's and had been working on her own but needed more support. She got on so well with Jemma that we asked her to teach Biology as well. We have found Jemma to be an excellent tutor who is very kind, patient and supportive. Due to Covid-19 our daughter has not been able to get predicted grades but Jemma went above and beyond to try and achieve this for her. We can't recommend Jemma highly enough.
