very helpful very good router

yes they are very good tried to set up deal with and when the order was set by direct it failed i was with once before the reason it failed was due to Plusnet asking Arvato Financial solutions asking the to get me pay a cancelation of £295 pound virgine media charge me £1.50 £293 cheaper than plusnet they had taken the money out by direct depit i left them because of a faulty rourter 6 months ago because i never paid i was reported as being a bad dredit risk i drive Mercedes saloon car a year old so in my eyes EE are far better than some and a lot better than plusnet and vwhen i was with they where very helpfull in every way and should be more than 5tars more like a sky full of stars as said it was due to plusnet why i never set a deal up with im with another company know

Great service that just works.

Great service that just works.
Been with EE for years now - it just works and I never have any issues. The very rare occasion it slows down, I turn the router off and on and it’s good to go. Every time the contract is due for renewal, I give them a call and they have always sorted me a decent deal - great value and I never have to think about the broadband connection. Hear so many moans and groans about connections from all providers that I thought I would give my honest review.

AVOID EE broadband or mobile

I am in the UK, this phone says I am elsewhere, in 2 other countries. AVOID EE, AVOID EE. No.1 in the UK!!!! Bull or we are all stupid. Previous to renewing my mobile contract I had ordered broadband, no equipment came and I didnt worry because another household member had ordered broadband. Months later I got a bill for broadband, I called and explained, the woman I spoke to said she would cancel the bill, however, unknown to me, she had left the contract live knowing I didnt have broadband.. I called up and spoke to a senior member of staff Richard (a Executive Manager, I will look up the last name and position in the company and edit this review), I explained there is no 2 broadband signals and I am not paying for something I dont have. I argued Richard wrote a letter telling me he had blacken my credit and he was right to do so, (he sounded happy) . EE continued to charge me. I have been with EE FOR years, around 15yrs and prior to that Orange, always had insurance, never claimed once. Recently with advice from EE upgraded at the end of the contract from the P20 to the P30. Immediately I noticed it was in a foreign language, Polish/Russian and what looks like Gujarati? there were apps on the phone that showed it was not new, such as Snapchat, several banking apps (not my bank) and I could get little reception. Called 150, I was told 2 towers close to me were being repaired, I waited, realising later I had been conned out of the "COOLING OFF PERIOD" I later realised that there were 2 other people in the household on EE sim only contracts, no problems with reception, I was refused cancellation or a new phone for months. Now I am returning the phone after over 20 calls, about 8-10 times with technical support, each time the phone got worse. I was given the 2 months payment due off by tech. This was ignored I got the bill nevertheless, £70. Each time the problem got worse, I ended up in tears and depressed. They would not take the phone back, I recorded all conversations, the advisor said she was not happy with me recording her, its a LEGAL CONTRACT, I AM ALLOWED TO KEEP A RECORD OF MY LEGAL TRANSACTIONS, it is impossible to write down everything said. She offered me my own insurance claim, having conned me out of the Cooling Off Period, they are willing to pay half of the £50 insurance excess and yet another P30 having dragged me into misery and tears, I said no, this is my first phone I have had problems with so for me no more P30. I am sending the phone back, if they send it back I wont get it, I have to leave this address end of this month, even though I can no longer purchase my home. I filed a complaint to the Ombudsman over his letter black listing my credit (the letter sounds as though he is proud of what he has done to me, I will post a copy when I edit this review) and the house I was trying to buy was rejected based on my credit worthlessness, now EE telling me I will remain on mobile contract and broadband contract. HOW DO I GET AWAY FROM THESE NASTY PEOPLE. MOST POPULAR IN THE UK, CANT BELIEVE THAT BULL, FALSE ADVERTISING. LETS GET RID OF EE. AVOID AT ALL COST SAVE YOURSELF A MENTAL BREAKDOWN, Go Sim only if you must be with them, you will get reception and save yourself insurance payments over 18yrs, thats £10 per month x 12 months x 18yrs =£2,160 (I could buy several P30's with that) because they are unscrupulous and your insurance is literally worthless, they will con you out of your "cooling off period" if you have a problem send your phone or broadband IMMEDIATELY (yes they will say they wont take it back) first sign off trouble, forget insurance, first its not up to you to decide your EE equipment does not work, tech has to decide whether your equipment/phone is faulty. SEND IT BACK AT FIRST SIGN OF TROUBLE. Give tech a go, but then send it back if problems keep coming up.

Price of £30pm for "superfast fibre broadband" and a landline seemed decent. Installation and set up was easy. I can run many devices on the wifi. However. the fast interest is a complete lie and will be sueing for my money back. Supposed to be up to 200mbs. Im getting about 70 at best. Takes 3 hours to download 10GB. Not good.

ABOVE THE REST.

I recently bought an Alcatel Mobile Phone from Argos and found it locked.
I asked to return it, but ARGOS refused to refund me and actually told me to go to Consumers or Ombudsman!

However, EE went above and beyond and unlocked the phone for me. They even offered to refund the phone cost which amazed me.
I know where I will NOT be going next time I am going shopping...and where I WILL be going when I need a contract.

Extra stars to Matthew and Diana *****

Well done EE. Five well earned Stars!

Fantastic

Fantastic, reliable
Never had any issues with it. I think most of the bad reviews are from frustrated individuals and those who don't experience any issues don't feel the need to rant or think about reviewing it. For me never had any problems! I'd use them again

You can tell by looking at the reviews. its either very good or very bad. And this can be down to the line itself rather than EE at times.

No attempt at Customer Service

EE has gone downhill rapidly. Even the most patient person would get fed up of waiting over 10 minutes for their phone call to be answered. So slow broadband you could fall asleep waiting.

Variation in broadband speeds…not meeting the contractual minimum

Below is a table of broadband speeds delivered to my house by EE. It varies from a low of 2.4 Mbps to a maximum of 16.2, and an average of 11.5 Mbps. Contractually EE have to supply a minimum speed of 14.1 Mbps.
Please note the variation in download speed, which is in my opinion extreme.

Please note that EE does not have a web chat for broadband complaints ....

If you can live with all of that, then select EE. I wished I had not selected EE as my ISP ....

If I could give no Stars I would

If I could give no Stars I would. Have been trying to contact EE for 2 days now online and by phone , what a shambles of a company to contact to upgrade broadband. After going through the box filling in with correct info you get a RED message telling you “our fault not yours please call freephone number at top of page” . This cannot be accessed unless you have an EE mobile no. All other network numbers not recognised, and call ended. Also tried other numbers listed on website same result. When I’ve torn my hair out will Be contacting sky to switch providers, and good riddance to EE.

unacceptable handling of customer infos

Disappointing, EE has transferred my broadband and landline from TalkTalk. was supposed to get transferred both services to my home 4th jan 21. to find out that EE hold my long time landline number. they claim that they did not take my landline from talk talk. talk talk tells me that EE take the 2 services. but provided me with broadband only. now they dont restate my landline number. they want to replace that number. thats awful and EE mishandle infos and my long time landline number. thats wrong and cannot be accepted . talk talk is rather not happy with this negligence and careless customer services. i found myself without landline at home...cannot receive calls from my long time number at home...so my landline number might be used by someone else...unbelievable

All day got a whopping 1.4MB

All day got a whopping 1.4MB! Seriously! Took 10 minutes to download app, waste of time, readings are totally false, 39mb hahaha I so wish. Ofcom should investigate so thats where I'm heading with my Which Broadband Test results, highly recommend, you can compare with neighbours. BT are EE, didn't know that or I wouldn't have chosen EE, as BT's broadband was as bad, hence why I changed provider. Stay away, the app is rigged, the tech team only work till 9pm, so guess muggings has to wait till morning to cancel my subscription. And dare they, like BT try to charge me £685 for breaking my contract. Ofcom won't know what's hit them. None of them (Sky, Bt and EE which I've tested over the last 5 months) comply with the Sale of Goods Act - meaning all their broadband services are unfit for purpose - therefore each of them broke the contract by not fulfilling your guaranteed speed. Know your rights folks, this lot think we're stupid.

Be warned

I have been with EE years. However we moved and had problems since. We had no internet coverage downstairs and advised to move the box. EE did this. The engineer left our property with masonry off the wall. EE have refused to pay for the damage as it was a BT engineer. Taken it to ombursman who also say its BTs fault raise it with them.

Beyond disappointed.

I have been loyal mobile phone customer of EE since they took over the network from Orange. When I moved into a property on my own over 4 years ago I chose EE as they had been good to me. When I moved house 2 years ago I moved EE with me. Unfortunately since the beginning I was not happy with the service and called for help on few occasions but any help was only temporary as I have found the service intermittent. I went on a sim only contract with my mobile for a while in my mobile as I was deciding on which phone and contract to go on. Nearly 2 years ago I added a mobile contract to my existing contract for my daughter taking a 1gb monthly contract as I am grateful to have the use of the data share facility. I upgraded my phone a few months ago and recently added another 100gb contract to my account. After I moved 2 years ago I've had nothing but problems requiring turning off the router at some points multiple times a day. I called a few times but no resolusion was permanant. Last November I was called and informed there would be fibre only available which was going to cost £12 more a month - I expressed that I didnt want it but I was given no choice if I was staying with EE. As I needed the 5mg boost for having broadband and mobile I did state on the call that I felt I had no choice and felt pushed into something I didn't want! After further calls and more temporary fixes I have given up and am admitting defeat by moving to another provider. I received a notification that I would be charged £110.55 to leave. I called to request a waver in these costs as I have received a terrible service at an over inflated price in comparison to other providers out of loyalty. After a 40 minute call where I was left on hold for extended periods of time I was informed I should have allowed EE to resolve the problem by more tests and sending engineers. I work full time and have not got time to wait on hold for extended lengths of time and wait in for engineers to resolve a service I at a quality Ishould have been receiving, not once was I informed anyother tests would be provided. I have multiple times had to call EE mobile to add mobile data as the Wifi was not available at home. This has happened over the last 6 months and myself and my daughter has barely left the house. I felt bullied by EE and said as much when I agreed to a contract I never asked for and stated I didn't want to change but conveniently EE no longer have the recorded call. As soon as I am able I will be taking my 3 phone mobile contacts elsewhere and I woukd advise others to consider another provider as I feel EE have no honour after decades of loyalty.
