App error and pathetic response from Corp Office

EA charging station charged my account instead of the Genesis plan that came with my car purchase, even though (verified by EA customer service rep) the Genesis plan was the default billing source selected. Talked to them, 3 times, they understood and on the phone agreed there was an issue, and they would forward and reverse the $23 charge )ie, send to the Genesis plan), but the Corp office said no.
While I wish EA well, it’s myopic of EA to not understand their App (or the actual charger I used) failed.
Further, if this is how EA views company improvement, they are doomed to be yet another company in the graveyard of failed companies who didn’t fix an issue they should have, when discovered. Sad…

Here's a rewritten version of your text:

"I know no network is perfect, but I wanted to take a moment to say thank you. Many customers may not realize how essential your network is—without it, countless electric vehicles wouldn’t be able to get from point A to point B. I truly appreciate what you’ve built. That said, there’s always room for improvement, no matter the network. Thank you again!"

This company Giselle is equity in rights is to Elon Musk and let Tesla operate it. Nearly 2 years and it still haven't made changes learn how to evolve in how to run a proper charging station. Have you not noticed all the chargers at tessler stations how they are always working..... Volvo stick with cars and leave the charging stations to the real professional. I cringe every time I get ready to go to one of these stations cuz I know something is not going to work.

Electrify America is not to be trusted

Electrify America has become an interminable money pit that is a leech on your credit card while relentlessly ignoring changes on app and email request to end membership. Though a small amount of monthly charges, the sum adds up; moreover, this practice is both insidious and larceny. Until this practice is stopped beware of allowing Electrify America to charge on your credit card.

No orderly system for the wait line is insane!

The fact that these charging station companies have no system in place to facilitate the orderly succession of the wait line is insane and offensive. It’s a symptom of the entire techno industrial social media complex that is just beta testing and experimenting with their technologies without thinking through the unintended social impacts and consequences. Y’all a bunch of money hungry nerd ass biatches. People losing their patience and gettin mad at EVs and it’s your fault.

We found ourselves forced to use an alternative to an EV Go charging station in Boca Raton due to the prefered station being broken in the same location. The only alternative therefor was the Electrify America charging station which was up and running ready to charge at a price gauging 0.56 per KWh. This is way more expensive than any of the FPL or EV Go stations. Wow !100% more. My advice, plan ahead and avoid these charging stations at all costs!!

Terrible!! Do not use if you can avoid it

I have called in 6 times to request service at the EA stations in Salem OR. NO ONE care or fixes issues. Card readers do not work most of the time, the screens are unresponsive and I have to call in EVERY TIME to get a receipt. One station is always down and hold times are 10-15 minutes to just speak to a person to get the recipient sent. Only EA option for many miles and have to use it because there are no other class 3 chargers. I hate this company!!

Hyundai promised us free charge with electrify but I have not had 1 successful experience with electrify in Hagerstown. The session is always interrupted and I have to stand outside while they reboot their system. It is an absolute hassle. Please do not fall for the promise of free charging. They are deliberately interrupting my charge. Horrible experience charging with electrify. I can take my business somewhere else.

Service/Agreement

For such a large company, you would think that they would improve their customer service. They are quick to stop service or cancel but don't know how to reach out to customers, which is sad!

Failed Charging Station in Paso Robles CA, 100023-02

At Charging station 100023-02 on Spring Street in Paso Robles, CA, after about 18 minutes, the charging station failed and the connector failed to release, thereby forcing us to be delayed in our journey since our vehicle was then connected to the charger's connector which failed to release. I called the company's telephone number on the charging station; the CSR kept me on the telephone line for about 45 minutes before stating that someone was physically going to the failed charger whose connector would not release our vehicle. When asked how long a period of time it would be before their service person would arrive, she would not provide a time frame for their arrival.
With the help of a couple who arrived about 10-15 minutes after the CSR had informed me that a service person would be dispatched to our location, our vehicle was disconnected from Charging station 100023-02 and then I moved my vehicle to another charging station ("03") at the same location where, miraculously, the charging station not only worked but my previous charging session had recommenced approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes after the initial failure of Charging station 100023-02. After our vehicle, Mustang MachE GT competed its charging, the Electrify America charging station connector did successfully disconnect and we were able to leave the Paso Robles CA Spring Street Charging location of Electrify America, unfortunately far too late to attend the memorial service to which we were travelling before stopping at that Electrify America charging location.
Consequently, this member and (former) customer will not use and would not trust Electrify America to provide reliable charging service again, if there is a reasonable alternative, as their response to their 12/8/24 failed Charging Station 100023-02 incidence clearly demonstrates exceedingly poor service and abysmal customer service response due to their multiple failures including their charger and their lack of timely corrective actions.
Use Electrify America at your own risk and, most certainly as I experienced, at your own cost!

We need more stations (Los Angeles County)

We need more stations in my area of Los Angeles county. Other than chargers at Walmart, I would need to drive 18 miles or more to the next set. In L.A. traffic, that's a hugh inconvenience!! - The stations at Walmart are within the normal parking isles so it sometimes challenging to park. One small is way to large and they stations are NOT drive through. I wish they were better located.

They have more charging stations that don’t work than that actually do. This company absolutely sucks. I got a plan when I bought my Hyundai, but I would never pay money This plan. You’d have to be stupid unless you want to waste a lot of time driving around, looking for stations or sitting in a parking lot for an hour waiting for the only charging station they have that actually works. to give them money for anything.

EA is not reliable and their equipment…

EA is not reliable and their equipment is faulty and will not properly read your membership with your car contract. When using my car app the EA charging station will automatically read your account and charging will be free per contract. But EA charging station failed to read the account and I had to use my credit card and later sent an email to EA support for a refund. EA support refused my request for a refund and made this my problem. Please tell your EV car company to stop using EA as their preferred EV charging provider. EA does not stand by their brand or equipment. I used the Santa Anita Mall charging station in Arcadia, CA. EA is unreliable and not customer friendly and will not back up their brand.

Electrify America is one of the worst…

Electrify America is one of the worst companies doing business in America. Never mind that it charge me twice for "idling time" (which is not clearly spelled out on their charging stations), but they completely ignored attempts from the Better Business Bureau, who contacted them on my behalf to rectify the double billing situation. Genesis should be ashamed of choosing EA as a vendor to provide free services to Genesis owners. It makes Genesis look bad.

They claimed I violated terms of service but didn’t show me proof even though I told them I literally own one car. Also, claimed I was using my car for commercial use also no proof of, and then failed to mention that I apparently had to wait 60
Minutes between charging. So they basically screwed me over terminated my account. I also had a customer service agent refuse to let me speak to a manager.

This weekend had two bad experiences with charging.First, we were directed to a new not even open station in Sleepy Hollow , NY area. And today there are only two stations working out of 4 but on application they marked as available. And this happens all the time.

Bad experience

I was charged a hefty $62.94, including a surprise $27.20 for idle time. The charger provided no clear information about idle fees, leading to this unexpected and excessive charge.

Customer support was equally frustrating. The representative struggled to understand my concern, and the call lasted over an hour. When I was transferred to a supervisor, I was met with complete silence.

This experience was unacceptable due to lack of clarity, ineffective customer support, and unresponsive staff.

Electrify america nightmare

Electrify america nightmare. I have my electric car over 2 years now and can report only electric america is getting worse, not better. More than in the past I see more chargers broken down and longer lines at charging station. Let's take "The Falls charge stations " in Miami Florida. Last night I waiting 3 hours 8 minutes to finally get on the charger. 2 were broken down out of 4. For chargers up to 150 kw they were only charging between 40 and 60 kw. After getting on the charger it was a total of over 4 hours delayed before I was on my way. Now the biggest joke of all is that recently tesla installed over 20 chargers right there in the same location on the other side of the curb. Funny part was how we were all there waiting to charge our cars on electrify america and being delayed the tesla owners were coming in , plugging in there cars and shortly after they were on there way. And we were all standing there watching this in the rain no less. The Tesla owners were LAUGHING AT US!!!! A we watch then come charge and go. We were embarrassed 😳. I see at electrify america now at least one charger us broken down and occasionally more and long lines. I see people waiting being very upset 😡 and don't wanna deal with this anymore. SO HERE'S MY MESSAGE TO ELECTRIFY AMERICA. PEOPLE ARE WATCHING AND PEOPLE ARE REPORTING. THESE DAYS BUSINESSES ARE ASKING FOR REVIEWS. HERE'S MY REVIEW FOR YOU. I GIVE YOU ZERO STARS. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ELECTRIFY AMERICA TO ANYONE TO SAVE MYSELF EMBARRASSMENT. BE WARNED AND START RESPONDING TO THE POOR REVIEWS. AND FOR THE CUSTOMERS USING THE SERVICE. PLAN ACCORDINGLY IF GOING TO THESE CHARGERS. CHECK THE APP AND SEE IF THEY WORK AND AVAILABLE. I LEAVE ELECTRIFY AMERICA WITH THIS LAST COMMENT. MAKING A NOT ON THE APP SAYING THE CHARGERS ARE OUT OF SERVICE AND ARE WORKING TO GET THEM REPAIRED DOESN'T CUT IT!! AND APOLOGIES FOR THE INCONVENIENCE DOESN'T CUT IT EITHER !!! YOU ARE LEAVING ELECTRIC VEHICLE OWNERS STRANDED WITH NO OPTIONS. AND THIS NEW TEST OF YOURS TO CUT PEOPLE OFF AT 80% PERCENT IS ANOTHER DUMB IDEA TO TRY AND ELIMINATE LONG LINES. SOME PEOPLE ARE TRAVELING AND IN SOME AREAS OF THE COUNTRY YOU CANT GET FROM ONE CHARGER TO THE NEXT ON ONLY 80 PERCENT. HERES A BETTER SOLUTION FOR YOU. GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER AND GET THEM FIXED. GET MORE CHARGERS INSTALLED TO HANDLE THE FLOW AND MAYBE YOU WILL PLEASE SOMEONE AND GET A GOOD REVIEW!!

Unfortunately have to agree with the bad reviews. App and stations frequently don't work. Charged my credit card directly instead of my free membership account. Obviously this is known issue, since customer service told me to start session with app and not with the station screen. How would I know that? Still they wouldn't refund the charge.
