Sham / Scam Company

Do not buy from this company. If I could record Zero Stars I would. ES Hearing (or Essential Sounds Hearing) have also traded as NG Hearing, ESH Hearing.
The hearing 'Aids' are not what they profess to be. I wear hearing aids and looked for more discrete, in-ear aids as I also wear glasses. They didn't fit my ear and kept working out of my ear. Secondly the sound was worse than my own hearing aids - they clearly don't work. After multiple emails they offered a meaningless 70% refund and even told me this had been processed! They have not responded to my last three emails giving them the opportunity to make good on their refund 'offer'. I have looked at making a Money Claim against NG Hearing but the Gov.UK (Company House records) site has no record of the company. The company quoted on the delivered parcel is Essential Sounds Hearing and the Gov.UK record shows they were dissolved in August 2024 - a month before I received my 'aids' from them!!
This is a sham / scam company - don't use and good luck with trying to get your money back if you bought from them.

Now trading as NG Hearing - DREADFUL EXPERIENCE

⚠️‼️⛔️Now trading as NG Hearing - DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY New company NG has even been removed from Trust Pilot for fake reviews!! Worst on line experience ever. Website has fake reviews and videos - DO NOT BE FOOLED!!! Bought devices that had been previously used and did not work. Unable to contact on various telephone numbers; sent over a dozen Emails took ages to get any response then had the audacity to try and get more money out of us and upgrade to more expensive devices - and get conned out of another £90 - unbelievable. Many other buyers have experienced same trick. Unfortunately no option to leave no stars. Cannot believe people like this get away with this. This is 3rd company he has set up in 2 years . Don't be fooled by 5 star reviews - they are not verified‼️‼️ ⚠️

Just Don't

Just Don't. These hearing aids just don't work very well. They amplify across the frequency range which means for me things get very boomy. 4th Generation! The fact that TrustPilot have suspended them should say it all.

Good aftersales service

I purchased a left hearing aid in December 2023. I was very happy with it and wrote a very positive review.

This aid stopped working on 31 May 2024.

I contacted this Company on several occasions for the address to return it for repair or replacement. I had one useless response but no return address.

I tried telephoning but could only leave a voice message, no return call was received.

I mentioned in my call I would
leave an adverse review.

I suspect this Company also uses another name NG Hearing .

I advise caution when dealing with these suppliers.

Terrible company

Would not recommend this company they do not respond to any complaint no matter how many times you contact them by phone or email after they have agreed to replace faulty goods.

I bought these aids because of the hype…

I bought these aids because of the hype in their advertising about being invisible in the ear and obviously cheap compared to Specsavers etc, already had Specsavers but lost one and they'd only replace as a pair which was was £1800, so I thought I'd have a go with ES, bad move. For a start, weren't invisible if I could get them to stay in that is, no matter what size bud I used they just kept drifting out of ear and whistling. This is when problems started when I tried to get recompense from ES. They offered various solutions which were no good to me, pointed out they were not fit for purpose and wanted refund and requested returns address to send them back. No way, no returns address supplied just a (what I took as a frightener) reply that to take case to small courts could incur further costs for me.
Went to citizens advice to enquire about legal costs If I took them to small claims court, in Scotland where I live it wouldn't but in England it could, so they gave me template letters to send to ES hearing land mail and email, signed for delivery, sent one to the owner and the others to ES hearing support and their legal dept. The letter sent to owner was returned as he wouldn't accept it and no response from others.

Eventually went to Paypal as didn't want any further costs and I got a full refund, took forever but paid off in end.
If you have to go down this route, keep a record of all communications and screen grabs of any useful info that would help Paypal to make an informed decision.

No website no refund no improvement in my hearing!

One of the worst companies I have dealt with. I bought a hearing aid on the strength of a Facebook ad and 2,000 positive reviews on the company website. From the outset I had difficulty with the aid as it hummed and whistled most of the time. It was suggested that I should allow three weeks for the device to be fully up and running but I contacted them within 10 days as I was naturally frustrated. Initially the response was helpful but soon turned sour when I began to talk about a refund. They disputed that I had grounds for a return and then sent a somewhat intimidating email laying out their hate speech policy i.e. how they would protect their brand against negative comments. They did not respond to my request for the returns address. After a month the hearing aid charger stopped working. I was able to obtain the returns address from Trustpilot and sent the whole kit back with a covering letter explaining the fault. I had the same response again, the hate speech policy but this time followed up by an email from their so called legal section that laid out the legal route of the dispute I had with them. I declined this as there could be fees I would have to pay but I challenged incorrect statements they had made about the case.
None of the emails were signed including that from the legal section. Their website has been removed meaning that their refunds policy is not available and it looks that they could be gearing up for a relaunch. They were formerly called HMB Hearing. Their business model seems to be to satisfy half their customers and be largely dismissive of the other half. Bearing in mind the make up of the population who need hearing aids it could be said this is a business model that knowingly preys on the elderly.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!

I purchased hearing aids for both ears from this company in November. They are huge! I had constant ringing/whistling noises in my ears, they didn’t sit in my ears correctly, adjusting the volume is hard and, worse of all, others could hear ringing from them too! Contacted the company, advised them that they were not fit for purpose and asked for an address to return them.

The Company started off by being polite and ‘helpful’ but when it became clear that I wasn’t backing down and didn’t want to ‘upgrade’ for an extra fee, they became quite threatening and intimidating. So, I began a cash back request and have today just been advised that I am to get the full amount back. Result!

My advice is to contact the company within 14 days, which is your cooling off period. All goods purchased online have this, apart from a few exceptions. As you won’t have had a consultation and the hearing aids are not prescribed for you, the cooling off period definitely applies. List all your grievances with the hearing aids, point out why they don’t help with your hearing problems and ask for a refund. Be polite but firm. Above all, don’t be intimidated or feel threatened by them, this is what they are banking on! They know they are in the wrong and don’t have a leg to stand on.

Good luck! I hope this helps.

Avoid like the plague.

Have written a 5 star review before for this company because they replied to my emails politely and promptly promising to rectify my faulty hearing aids, unfortunately they were all words, they have done nothing to rectify the problem and have not heard anything from them now for a few weeks. It is obvious to me now that they have no intention of helping me so do not believe anything this company tells you. Had to give them one star to be able to write this review but in actual fact they are a no star company.

Hearing Aids

I would not recommend using this company.
I purchased a pair of Hearing Aids from ESHearing in January 2024.
The Hearing Aids do not fit in my ears despite all the different attachments. They are clearly not suitable for what I need.
They also appear fairly large and unsightly in my opinion and I find difficult to switch them on and Off.
I have tried to ring at least 20 times and left messages, I have also emailed them at least seven times without any response what's so ever.
I am assuming the company no longer exists as it is impossible to get hold of anyone.
I assume the only way i can recover my money now is through the Bank.

Disappointed.......

For some historic reason our reviews appear under my wife's name. I've had hearing aids, both NHS and private, for some years and have kept updating them, but still have problems in any noisy environment and on the phone. Having been a working musician all my life, I find aids produce distortion when hearing music, and I can no longer enjoy my own or anyone else's music. Attracted by the reviews, I decided to give ES 4th generation a try.

Initial impressions were very good; the aids arrived amazingly quickly (on Sunday!), and the package is well designed, with clear instructions for using the aids. The recharging unit is brilliant, easy to use and with clear indications of the battery levels.

The changeable caps for the ears work well, but by no stretch of the imagination could the aids be described as almost invisible, and the volume is only adjustable with a tiny screwdriver. The real problem however is with the sound; even at maximum volume the sound is simply insufficient for my elderly ears. There is no comparison with my other aids.

I would have sent them back for a refund, but they don't offer this, only to swap them for another pair, which would be pointless. I shall keep them as possible reserves if I'm desperate, cos they do work up to a point; but I can only give them 2 stars. They may be brilliant for some, but I'm sorry that I cannot recommend them myself.

Good quality and excellent price.

I'd had my previous hearing aids (Starkey Halo) for about 8 years and they worked well enough, BUT they cost £4000! In November I lost them so decided to try some cheap & cheerful aids.

There was initially a problem as one of the aids simply didn't function at all, but the company replaced it very quickly.

To say I'm a happy camper is an understatement!

Wide Berth and Barge Pole come to mind.

The hearing aid was far too big to fit in my ear. I spoke to two different departments (both on the only phone number which was a mobile number) I was offered a later generation product for an extra £90 !
Anyway after them threatening me with legal action if I “bad mouthed” them on social media etc I went to PayPal for resolution and to get my money back. Unfortunately PayPal seem to agree with these little tinkers that it wasnt their fault if my ear was to small for their product. Has no one ever looked at the U.K. “distance selling” legislation ?
Lessons to be learned
If it’s to good to be true then it probably is.
If the supplier only has a mobile number then the chances are that they don’t want to be located !
