Nice concept and cute razor but design…

Nice concept and cute razor but design is very flawed - after a couple of used the lubricant around the razor becomes gooey and builds up, setting hard and causing a thick barrier between the skin and the razor. This means it quickly becomes impossible to get any where near to a close shave. Each new razor head is only usable one or two times in reality.

Awful razors

Awful razors, they don't actually shave properly, my partner even commented how stubbly my legs were just after shaving and could see all my hairs still. Razor head falls off constantly whilst shaving and also causes my skin alot of irritation. Razor itself took 3-4 weeks to get to me but would say customer service were very generous refunding because of the delay. Overall the Razors didn't meet my expectations and would not recommend them.

Good customer service !

Ordered one razor pack as I wanted an extra razor handle. Website crashed and I ended up paying for 2. The customer service team were so helpful and very efficient with my query of this. I have used these razors for over a year now and will still continue with my subscription ! Very good if you have thick coarse hair ! Legs are silky smooth after. The shower cream is 10/10 too and lasts a long time !

Disappointed

I really wanted to love these and there are thousands of positive reviews on the website.

But it's an awful razor. The 4th time using today and I'm giving up. Constantly cutting me, literally took my skin off on my knees and doesn't even give a close shave. Very disappointed.

(Edit - after cancelling, the company confirmed my cancelled subscription and also refunded the amount for the last batch of razors that had already been sent to me, so fair to play to them)

Avoid!

Bought 1 for myself and 2 more for daughters. None of us had a good experience. Blood spots, ingrowing hairs and no clean shave. Avoid!

Seem to have fallen off the face of the earth

I have used Estrid for a good while now, but lately things have slipped massively. My razor broke after falling off the wall again for the umpteenth time so I requested my next subscription order right away and added a new handle to go with it. That was 18 days ago and, despite chasing, apparently my order is yet to be despatched and I can't seem to make contact with a single person at Estrid? I've tried their chat bot to raise tickets and social media but with no response. Awful customer service from what I previously saw as a brilliant company. I will be looking elsewhere going forward.

Not good enough

Bought this in good faith. But I've had THREE RAZORS sent out to me. All of the razors broke after they fell from the wall mount provided as a it's not able to support the weight of the razor. The razor itself is too short and top heavy for a comfortable shave. Now I am being charged for a subscription service I never signed up to and have received no reply to my emails of complaint.

Bought an estrid razor after hearing…

Bought an estrid razor after hearing lots about them and losing my old one during a bathroom renovation.
I was really excited and loved the idea of the holder. I wish I hadn’t bothered. The holder has repeatedly failed and today, 10 days on from completing our bathroom that we saved hard to do, failed again and left a hole in our new bath where the metal handle hit it. Absolutely furious

Love the brand ethos, body hates the product

Love the packaging and ethos behind the brand. However, I’ve had nothing but issues since using the product. It’s brought on the worst rash and itchiness everywhere I shave. Convinced myself I had scabies, used a cream to sort this which resulted in my legs being even worse. Had multiple trips to the doctors to get rid of rash as this brought on excema. I know this all started when I started using estrid. Stopped using my razor this week out of process of elimination and…shock. The itchiness is gone. So annoying as I’ve spent months thinking it was other environmental factors not these expensive razors!

Worst razor burns ever ☹️

I really wanted to love this razor so much and I did the first week of using it that I even recommended it to my mom. The first couple of blades were alright, not amazing but did the job I guess. However, the last couple of months of using it (and changing blades frequently) it has been leaving me with the worst razor rash and burns and cuts in my intimate area, that I have ever experienced in my whole life! Incredibly painful and itchy, that I even had mistaken it for some sort of allergic reaction! I love the message and the marketing behind the brand but definitely needs a whole lot of work! It’s a pitty it didn’t work for me, I so badly wanted it to!

Very good customer service BUT I have…

Very good customer service BUT I have been trying to work out what allergy I have NEVER had one before in my life never had a shaving rash.
Yet I've narrowed it down to the razor the rash is all over the fronts of my legs. Ingrowing hairs ect. Its been keeping me up at night.
So glad I've seen these reviews and know it's not just me.

The blades on these last so long

The blades on these last so long, much longer than other razors I’ve used. The fact new blades arrive each month is a good reminder it’s time to change.
Leave no knicks and stubble rash is reduced.
The sugar scrub is amazing too.
Highly recommend.

Disappointing

I was really looking forward to using this razor, I like the eco side of the subscription and had read positive reviews on social media. I bought a starter kit and it arrived quickly and looked gorgeous! However, I hate it. I’ve never had any issues shaving before but after the second time of using the razor I was covered in sore, red bumps. I contacted Estrid on Instagram but heard nothing back. The suction holder doesn’t work, it continually pops off and then the blade snaps off the razor when it hits the floor or the bottom of the bath. There is also the issue of the lubricating strip. It turns to gloop as soon as it’s been in contact with water. It doesn’t matter where you leave your razor the gloop drips and sticks to absolutely everything! I also don’t find the handle that great to hold, its not long enough for the weight of it so you drop it. Sorry Estrid but I’m going back to Gilette :(

Scam company

Scam company. Beware!

I am 2 months down the line and still not received the blades I subscribed to. Despite several emails I am still struggling with a cheap disposable razor. Absolute crap.

although customer service was attentive, the product itself is terrible. the suction doesnt stick in the shower, the razor blades dont fit on the razor well, new blades aren't sharp, and the lubricant on the blades sticks to everything and destroys the razor

Purchased as bloggers rave about the…

Purchased as bloggers rave about the brand and the quality of the product. I can say I’m not impressed.

The suction cup doesn’t suck to my shower so I had to attach the razor to my mirror - not a great start. Upon first use the product was fine, no major difference to any other high street razor. The second shave was terrible, the razor which had been kept away from water because gunky and bled onto the blade so there wasn’t a close shave. I found myself shaving the same area 2-3 times to get rid of the hair. After the second shave the blades were no longer sharp so I tried the replacement head. Both times I came out in a shaving rash and experienced quite painful ingrown hairs.

After this experience I cancelled my subscription. I can safely say this is a blogger driven product which doesn’t hold up to expectations - likely because bloggers lie and get the free product. Not worth the money and high street ones last for more uses. All in all very disappointed that I wasted my money.

Love the concept but doesn’t follow through

Love the concept and brand ethos, but it doesn’t follow through.

I’ve used razors for years with no issues, rashes and limited ingrown hairs.
Since switching to estrid I am constantly battling with rashes, itchiness and cuts. It’s absurd.

I am cancelling my subscription and switching back to Gillette.

Anyone thinking of switching to Estrid I would hold off until they acknowledge all of these reviews and make improvements, rather than spending their budget on influencers.
