Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 559 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Customers frequently struggled with confusing payment machines and mobile applications that completely failed to work properly, directly resulting in unexpected and heavy parking fines. People also reported that formal appeals were routinely rejected by the administration even when they provided completely valid evidence of payment or permits. Some reviewers were not happy with the excessively high parking costs and poorly maintained locations that frequently flooded or lacked any clear signage. Consumers additionally mentioned that trying to contact customer support or resolve ongoing disputes felt virtually impossible, as aggressive debt collectors were quickly involved in the process.

Absolutely attrocious.

The whole premise of this despicable company is a con. They rely on scare tactics to demand money over (mostly) completely innocent mistakes. If you're using a store, such as a supermarket, and receive an unintentional fine from accidentally overstaying the maximum time having not seen the discreet notices, make sure to contact the store directly rather than making an appeal to Euro Car Parks, which will only get you nowhere.

This company needs to be investigated !

Prior to staying at a hotel in South Queensferry, I submitted the registration of my car to Euro Car Parks. I also completed my car details at the hotel. After returning from holiday I was angered to find I had received a penalty notification of £100 for using the hotel car park. I was unable to contact Euro Car Parks so phoned the hotel. They said they'd experienced numerous similar problems and said they would resolve matters for me. Weeks later I've received a Final Notice threatening legal action. I tried submitting an appeal only to find that there had already been one submitted. First I knew of that or that the claim had been closed. The hotel is now trying to rectify the situation again for me. Disgraceful service !

Absolutely disgraceful parking rules…

Absolutely disgraceful parking rules for disabled, you need to remove your disabled card to scan it, went today couldn't park near a pay and display, and had to remove my card and walk, i thought disabled parking was to help the disabled to park easier, guess not, make it like most places, register your car registration number and your bluebadge number on your website then when people park your ANP camera registers you parking, it's that simple.

Fined for feeding my 8 week baby

Fined me for stopping 40 mins in car park to feed my 8 week old baby at 11pm at night whilst we were travelling to Manchester. I have proof of the stop/feed/nappy change!

Hope you’re all proud of yourselves!

PAYMENT REFUSED IN ORDER TO ISSUE A FINE

Euro car parks failed to accept my payment after many attempts over 2 days. It is impossible to speak to anyone as the number is just automated then cuts you off.
The Euro csr parks online message service failed to send my messages and showed me an error message.. Its almost as if they have done this on purpose just to generate a time and then hope you will just pay the £60 for an easy life.
Someone in authority needs to look into this practice!

I parked in this carpark and went over…

I parked in this carpark and went over the time. I looked everywhere to try and pay more to extend the times, but the machine only issues a new ticket and not apply an extension of time on the original ticket. Therefore resulting in a 60 pound charge. Avoid using these car parks as it's a trap waiting to happen if you are stuck and can not get back in time. The location was north queen Belfast.

They bullied me

Its as simple as that. I parked. The parking metre was not working and so I paid with my numberplate but missed the letter K since it wasnt working. And now ive just paid upwards of £250 in fines since i dont have the time to keep up with the millions of letter they send to me. I work a 9-5. Its absurd that they just abuse the system

A money making scam!

I paid my parking charge at Pinner train station and received a receipt. Was surprised when I got a parking charge notice! I sent a cope of the receipt and my appeal was rejected. No-one should be using this company. It’s a money making scam.

The worst type of car park company.

Euro Car Parks demonstrates everything that is wrong with private parking enforcement in the UK.

Having used Cardiff International Pool and Gym for over ten years, I was recently hit with two £100 fines immediately following ECP’s takeover of the car park. There was zero direct communication or warning provided on-site to guest users, and the entrance signage is positioned at an angle that makes it virtually impossible to read from a vehicle entering the site.

Rather than providing a fair transition period or clear warning systems for genuine facility patrons, ECP relies on obscure signage and zero customer service to generate revenue. You cannot reach a human being by phone, and their online appeal portal feels rigged—sending you straight toward payment screens and imposing restrictive text limits.

Punishing genuine customers who are using community sports facilities is a disgraceful business model that demonstrates a total lack of ethics, transparency, or sense of good faith. Avoid at all costs.

I will never park at eurocarparks again…

I will never park at eurocarparks again - they are con artists who cannot be trusted. For some reason I couldn't key in my complete number plate when I paid - i only managed the first 4 digits. They knew it was me as they had video evidence of my car and the fact I had paid. I appealed the ticket and was offered a £20 admin fee - i'm not sure what for. In their opinion "a major keying error" justified the charge. I refused to pay and POPLA turned down my appeal and I've had enough now so I've paid. There was no dispute that it was my car and I had paid - how can they be justified in issuing a PCN in these circumstances? This company is running a racket. I'm appalled.

St Nicholas Circle

St Nicholas Circle, Leicester. There was no barrier or machine to give a ticket, as is usually the case. I've had a PCN stating I didn't pay by phone! What phone? There were no phones in there. I don't carry a mobile device with me. I'm not the only person who doesn't have a phone on me 24/7. If I'd seen a sign, I would have parked somewhere else. How can you restrict people wanting to pay by removing the facility to pay and then fine them? I've been trying for a week to contact someone but there's no facility to speak to anyone. How do I proceed?

I DRIVE AN ELECTRIC 7.5 TON TRUCK FOR…

I DRIVE AN ELECTRIC 7.5 TON TRUCK FOR HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL, ONE DAY THE CHARGE DROPPED TO 22%, THE NEAREST CHARGING POINT WAS SHELL PETROL STATION ELSTREE WAY BOREHAMWOOD, ON TOP OF THIS IM TOWING A TRAILER HOUSING A RIDE ON LAWNMOWER, ANYWAY I PLUG THE VEHICLE IN AND WAIT FOR IT TO CHARGE TO 100%, BEING A LORRY AND NOT A CAR IT TOOK 1 HOUR 15 MINUTES TO CHARGE, I RECIEVED A FINE (PCN) NOT A LEGAL ONE EITHER AS THE PHOTOGRAPHIC EVIDENCE COULDNT SHOW THE REAR NUMBER PLATE OF THE VEHICLE LEAVING , IT COULDN'T AS I WAS PULLING A TRAILER AND THE VEHICLE IS TO LONG TO CATCH THE TRAILER NUMBER PLATE.
ANYWAY AS YOU ALL KNOW , I APPEALED, THEY ASKED FOR PHOTOGRAPHIC EVIDENCE, I SENT THAT , THEY CHOSE TO IGNORE THAT , THEN CLOSED THE APPEAL CASE!!! EVEN THOUGH I EXPLAINED I WASNT PARKED , WASNT LOITERING , WASNT HAVING A LUNCH BREAK, I WAS USING A SHELL GARAGE FORECOURT FACILITY.
IM SO GLAD ON THE 13TH FEB 26 ON THE GOV.UK WEBSITE THEY ARE BEING FINED 473,000 POUNDS FOR FRAUDELENT ACTIVITY , IT READS THE CMA MADE 7 SEPERATE ATTEMPTS TO CONTACT EUROCARPARKSINCLUDING E MAILS , RECORDERD DELIVERY LETTERS AND HAND DELIVERED LETTERS.EUROCARPARKS TOLD CMA THEY HAD BLOCKED THERE E MAIL ADDRESS, PROVING HOE DISHONEST THEY REALLY ARE.
I ALSO CONTACTED SHELL GARAGES TO CONTACT EUROCARPARKS TO REMOVE THE PENALTY AS I HAD VALID REASONS FOR BEING ON THERE LAND FOR THE SAID AMOUNT OF TIME.
SHAME ON SHELL GARAGES , BIG SHAME ON EUROCARPARKS
CEO'S OF COMPANIES OPERATING IN THIS WAY NEED BANNING, EVEN AFTER BEING FINED THEY ARE STILL ISSUING AGGRESSIVE TICKETING , AND OPERATE A WEBSITE THAT MAKES IT IMPOSSIBLE TO MAKE CONTACT WITH , "NOREPLY" E MAILS SO YOU CANT REPLY TO AN E MAIL, PHONE NUMBERS THAT ARE NEVER ANSWERED.
EVEN IF YOUR A GENUINE CASE LIKE MYSELF AND MANY OTHERS AND YOU DECIDE TO PAY YOUR ADMITTING LIABILITY, IF YOU DONT PAY THE BAILIFFS ARE COMING BUT WORST OF ALL A CCJ FOR 6 YEARS.
I;M AVOIDING SHELL GARAGES FOREVER AND ANY LAND MANAGED BY EUROCARPARKS.

Shocking company

Shocking company. They seem far more interested in taking your money than treating customers fairly. Communication was appalling from start to finish. I was never made aware that my PCN had been passed to a debt collection agency and only found out after I contacted Euro Car Parks myself. By then, an additional £50 had been added, leaving me no choice but to pay to avoid any further escalation.

The whole process was stressful, confusing and completely avoidable with proper communication. I certainly won’t be using any car parks managed by Euro Car Parks again and would urge others to think twice.

This company seems to harass and cause unnecessary stress. Parked in the restaurant car park; wasn't advised to use the portal in the restaurant, and a few weeks later received 60£ penalty charge from Euro Car Parking. Provided evidence of dining in the restaurant on said date. After multiple emails with the restaurant and Euro Car Parking, being reassured the matter was rectified and no fine was due, we've since received 2 further higher penalty demands and still have to email, call and deal with this apparently 'resolved fine' ... it's just relentless and, in summary, harassment!

No wonder this place has terrible reviews. Receipt clearly shows the date I parked & paid over £8 the hourly rate is £1.70 but they charged me £60 for overstaying. 1hour 16mins I stayed. Shown them receipt & still rejected the appeal. You can’t speak to a person & you can just about find the appeal procedure guide. DO NOT USE THESE FOR PARKING

Fined and lied to

I arrived at the carpark to find there were no payment machines at the gate or anywhere else. no signage to explain how to pay and nobody at the desk. I suspect the carpark had recently changed from NCP to Euro and the were not ready for customers (although they were still open) I parked. I later got a fine for £100 which I appealed but was rejected as they said there was signage in place, not true! I have appealed to POPLA and have also noticed that Euro are being investigated for suspected breaches in consumer law around unfair practices and appeals systems. surprise surprise!
