The price has gone up a bit, no surprise. But, for the jittery nerves it calmed through the simplicity of the process, it's still worth it. Today was the first time I filed using my phone. The steps, the process is the same but the number crunching and fyi's are not at all visible here, not cluttering up what little space exists on my device. Thanks for showing me the easy way.

Very intuitive and simple . Asks all the right questions and only the needed questions! Finished my retireees 1040 in under 2 hours and paid just the $119 basic package. Will definitely use again next year and avoid the $650 i was paying aCPA company in California for the same service. Most importantly is to be sure all your tax info (eg 1099R's, SSA, and other info are being electronically sent to you each year)

My experience with Expatfile was amazing! Last year, I used TurboTax and it was so much more expensive. I even tried to use it this year, but was so frustrated when the software would not allow me to actually file. I just googled another option and I am so thankful Expatfile came up! I highly recommend this as an option for expats to file their taxes!

Every year I had to mail in the return because my non-resident alien spouse doesn't have (or need) a tax ID. Expat file followed the IRS instructions and finally allowed me to e-file. Turbotax just gets stuck, makes you print the return and mail it instead. Also, Expatfile costs about half what Turbotax does.

Easy, I think. we'll see once the IRS has received my tax return.

This service is great. Lived abroad for 7 years and they always make filing easy. When a return is rejected, their support team is quick to help resolve the issue.

Expatfile made filing a breeze. Please keep in mind that if you have stocks and capital gains you will have to pay. But this was a small price to pay in order to make Uncle Sam happy.
They were quite attentive to my needs as I needed a specific form that was not available and I was charged slightly extra to get that form in. Overall it was a great experience and I will use them again next year.

The cost was £300 less than the accountant I hired online previously, and cheaper than TaxAct or TurboTax - unlike these sites, I could pay with my UK card and use my UK phone number. Using TaxAct, I had to contact my daughter in the states for the sign-in code because they didn't accept expats' phone numbers or payments. It was simple and straight forward. I'll use this site from now on.

Easy entry of income data. Expatfile organized the forms necessary for foreign tax credits, so that I didn't have to do it.
