I spent $500 per tree and I got poor quality for the price I paid. The trees are barely 5 feet tall, some almost six, very slim and poor quality. Even if the shipping caused some damage, the price for... See more

I received a half dead redbud tree. Took longer than it was supposed to for delivery and I was told by customer service that a stake would be included in box to keep tree upright. There was nothing but a sick tree in box. Can't believe I paid over $100 for this! Now they want pictures sent instead of trying to fix this. I guess I will call my cc co. and never order from here again.
You get what you pay for. Prices are slightly higher than other online stores. I have bought dozens of trees for our homes. Cheaper outlets with low quality products. Time, effort lost.
The items from Fast Growing Trees have been spectscular. Only once did I received a slightly poor specimen. They refunded me without any issues.

i had ordered 2 grafted plum trees on 4/22/26 and all i got was a pack of seeds on 5/18/26. They say they checked and i got what ordered. I did not get trees. they offered me a $4 refund. I paid $20. Told them the refund was unacceptable. I'd give them a Zero if it was available
i bought a tree last fall, which didnt make it. I filed a complaint, and the costumer service was wonderful, they took care of me and they are sending a new tree.
I am a very happy costumer, and will definitely buy plants again with fast growing trees.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience deserves one.
I purchased a nearly $300 Weeping Extraordinaire Cherry Tree from FastGrowingTrees. The tree established during the first season, then failed immediately after its first dormancy period and never resumed spring growth.
Because this is a deciduous tree, there was no realistic way to evaluate the extent of the issue during winter dormancy. I contacted support on April 19 as soon as it became obvious the tree was not waking up normally. At that point, support advised me to continue waiting and monitoring it.
Weeks later:
* the tree still has no leaves,
* buds remain dormant,
* scratch tests show green cambium,
* while every surrounding tree on my property under identical conditions is actively growing.
After waiting as instructed, my claim was denied because the warranty period had just expired.
What makes this especially frustrating is that FastGrowingTrees later shifted to blaming Zone 9 conditions — despite selling this exact tree to my ZIP code, despite the tree surviving the first growing season successfully, and despite the issue only becoming fully visible after dormancy.
The problem is not simply the denial itself. The problem is being told to wait, then having the timeline used against the customer afterward.
For premium-priced trees, I expected significantly better post-sale support and a more reasonable review process.

Excellent service. Prompt response to questions. Updates on delivery provided. Quality of trees excellent. You can tell they take great pride and care about their customers. Reasonable prices. Backed by 1 year warranty.

I like the variety of trees offered, reasonably priced but their packaging is not that great. I guess they try and I'm sure if it were being delivered locally from their location it would be ok but I live in Southern Cali. My trees were shipped via Fedex took 11 days from order to delivery, thats just too many days and too many people handling the boxes they were packaged in. One box was definitely broken open/ smashed, reaped, when I opened the main branch was broken as was the bamboo it was tied to,looks as if it was stepped on during shipping. Every tree had limbs broken/ hanging, lots leaves floating in the boxes, one ofthe big trees was totally out of the pot as the post was semi smashed, 1/3 of the soil was in the plastic bag. There is just no way to ship trees that far without being "mis" handled along the way. Its in a box, and im sure that box gets thrown, stepped on, smashed, turned upside down during those 11 days. Will just have to settle with local nurseries from now on.
Fulfillment/Delivery is a disaster - Delivery date was many days after expected/estimated. Order have multiple fulfillments
Deceptive with their Plant Sizes -- Ordered multiple 3 Gallon Boxwood and when they arrived it appeared they took 1 Gallons and put them in a 3 Gallon container. The Root ball of all the plants were still in the shape/form of 1 Gallon container with loose dirt to fill the gap
Customer service is GREAT!!!
SHIPPING IS IMPECCABLE!!!!!

I’ve bought a lot of trees and bushes over the years. 4 failed to thrive and customer service sent replacements right out after only a few questions. Everything else is growing well

I’ve been working with Fast Growing Trees for about 8 years at least. I’ve always had a really good experience. The trees tend to do really well and if there’s ever an issue I have had no problem getting replacements.
I’ve recently acquired a new property with extensive gardens. It’s my first time working with their landscape designers. The entire process was extremely professional and well done. I’ve enjoyed the process and I’m extremely happy with the final designs. I can’t recommend them enough. (Thank you to Jade especially for your designs!! We are excited to plant!)

I have never received such horrible customer service. I was lied to by the first customer service agent I spoke with. I was told that my order had been shipped and fed ex had my package for 3 days and it was on them that it had not been updated. I was assured that the package was on the way. I called Fed Ex with the shipping number FGT gave me. They informed me that a label had been created but it was never given to Fed Ex. When I called back I spent an hour and 15 minutes on the phone with customer service. Evidently my package had not been shipped out and was still at the Nursery due to being to big of an order for Fed ex to pick up. I requested my order be cancelled and a refund be issued. I was informed that they couldn't do that since a shipping label had been created and it was being shipped. Even though it had not left the nursery. I waited on the phone for over an hour to talk to a supervisor that was evidently to busy with other customers to help me. After an hour the woman I was speaking to was finally able to refund me part of my money but not all of it. Could not tell me why. I asked for the CEO's or presidents email and was told it was not available. Worst customer service I have ever had.

I ordered two different plants and only received one verity. I contacted customer service and they told me my plants had arrived. I explained that I was missing one plant, but never heard back. I tried contacting them again, but no results. I will have to talk to my credit card company and deduct the cost. If you have another tree or plant company deal with then instead of FGT.

I have a placed a couple of orders and have had overall good results. The only exception is holly that I ordered/planted last fall, which all died over the winter. I think that winter in my region is too harsh for those plants and that is not the fault of Fast Growing. I would just recommend revising zones for the skypoint holly. Pretty plant but not for northern Illinois. Solid company.

I give two stars because these people used to be great. Fresh, healthy plants delivered overnight.
However, my last few orders have contained plants much smaller than described plus 3 DEAD expensive roses. The first dead rose was replaced, very promptly. However, the last two were not. No refund, no help. Just told me to water them and they'll come back to life. (Like magic huh!) Would you buy from a plant nursery that sold you dry, dead plants AT FULL PRICE with a promise that if you just water them they'll be fine in few weeks? No, you would not, so DON'T BUY FROM this bunch of cowboys. FedEx don't help much either.
UPDATE: Since posting the above FGT have responded here and via text. STILL promising to make good IF- in a couple of weeks - the roses are not recovering. While this response is minimally better than the foreign call center response it remains unacceptable. These guys are shipping live plants literally across the country (mine travelled from OR to NC) via truck over a week in hot weather and acting surprised when the customer receives a box of garden clippings at full price! If any other seller I've used has their product wrecked in transit they replace or refund. FGT Seems to think customer labour and resources are at their disposal. It's kinda like "Make your own Blender from Best Buy" or, Macy's sending you a dirty article of clothing and saying, "just wash it, it will be fine," if you complain.
This is NOT good enough. FGT should act accordingly.
The silliest part of this is that, my full refund would have been around $120. This review will send far more dollars than that AWAY from FGT. A refund / replacement would have got them a great review and they'd get their money back almost immediately.
UPDATE AGAIN - FGT Contacted me again via email when I sent them a pic of the dry plants. Once again they say, it will "bounce back." They don't seem to understand that we don't buy plants to watch them "bounce back."
As for the "Your Local Nursery" line. What a CON! My plants travelled from Oregon to North Carolina. Yeah. Local. Right.
Avoid this scam-adjacent company.

Extremely disappointed with my recent experience with Fast Growing Trees.
I’ve been a loyal customer and have spent a substantial amount of money with this company over the years, which makes this entire situation even more frustrating.
I placed an order during their BOGO promotion, and due to what appears to have been a system or Shop Pay checkout issue, my order reflected incorrectly after purchase. I immediately contacted customer service to have the order corrected.
Instead of fixing the issue, they canceled my order BEFORE I even had the opportunity to reply or decide how I wanted the matter handled. That decision was made entirely without my authorization.
By the time customer service finally responded, the BOGO promotion had already expired. Now their “solution” is for me to reorder the item at nearly double the original price just to receive the one tree I already attempted to purchase properly during the sale.
So because THEIR system malfunctioned, I’m the one expected to absorb the loss? That makes absolutely no sense.
I acted immediately, reported the issue in good faith, and did everything correctly on my end. Loyal customers should not be punished because of checkout glitches, delayed responses, and unilateral cancellations made by customer service.
Completely unfair and extremely disappointing. Horrible business practices! This needs to be resolved or I’m going to the Better Business Bureau enlarging report because this could be considered as false advertising! They didn’t have enough or met their quota so therefore the dates of this Bogo sale became invalid!

We have ordered a lot from Fast Growing Trees (thousands of dollars). Last May I ordered Crepe Myrtles and they arrived at the end of August (after several delays). They arrived dormant and was assured they would thrive in spring. We followed the planting instructions. It is now spring and they are dead, never came to life. They are NOT honoring their thrive guarantee, saying they were past their 60 day warranty! Seriously - you don't ship dormant trees in the fall and expect them to 'grow' in 60 days. We will not be purchasing from them again and I warn you to make sure you order when you can plant and verify they 'take' within the warranty period.

Refrain from purchasing with this company. Despite our initial optimism after purchasing several items, our dogwood tree arrived in a distressed condition. We promptly notified the company, but a month later, we have yet to receive a satisfactory resolution. Despite sending multiple photographs, we have been met with a lack of responsiveness and a request for patience. The customer service provided is subpar, and we will not consider using this company again.
I ordered 2 trees one came in perfect condition the second one all the leaves were drooping.
I took pictures and sent them to customer service. I was told it was in shock. Why must I wait 2-3 weeks to see if it is in shock from shipping. If it is not what will I do wait some more? Customer service was helpful thou There was a lot of things I had to do
Please advise
