Awful service and regret setting my regular saver up. Multiple conflicting emails sent from yourselves over the weekend and all I want to do is pay into the account. Won't use again

S. L. O. W
So S. L. O. W to transfer to a linked account ,the other direction is instant Why????,, now slipped behind on rates so I have transferred a big wedge eleswhere
KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID
Perhaps it could be simpler to open an account, numbers coming from all directions, passcodes and secret numbers in the post that were barely visible. However once the account was open, everything worked as it should do. Just like with the old Ford cars, if it’s working don't open the bonnet, just blow it a kiss. Ford Money please take note “KISS” KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID. Don’t start tinkering with the apps, don’t lift the bonnet. It’s working perfectly well as it is KISS !
Closed Accounts
Terrible service. They shut my daughters fixed accounts with no notice. She lost a lot of money by losing interest. Went to FO but they sided with Ford Money - what a surprise! Have shut all my accounts with them in disgust. Never again!
Deposits and Returns with confidence
I have now used Ford money for a couple of years with new deposits made throughout the year. I have been notified of accounts maturing weeks in advance with choices to have money paid in full to the original feeder account or renew a product with all or part of the maturing figure.
I have complete confidence in Ford Money albeit the updated app is uneasy to see monthly interests paid. Apart from this I have no hesitation in recommending Ford Money. 👍🏻👍🏻
Absolutely useless
Absolutely useless. Transferred money into Ford Money yesterday to purchase a cash ISA before Rachel Reeves fouls it all up tomorrow in her 2nd lousy thieving budget. Money not showing on my account this morning. Phoned Ford Money to check why & for help. No help only told as I used my name & not my account number the money would be sent back to me. I said as I was on the phone could I speak to someone dealing with this to sort it out now over the phone. He said No the money would be returned to me! I told him I would purchase my ISA elsewhere. He wasn’t interested. No wonder they have such bad reviews!
Ford money automatically rolls over any…
Ford money automatically rolls over any fixed term savers into new ones. they therefore lock in your money again and if you dont respond within 14 days they will not give it back to you.
The worst account I ever tried to open
The worst account I ever tried to open. Frist you can only open the app on the lastest smartphones. Then you need to get a letter with a pass number that you cannot read.
When you try to reset your password you also need a new pass number.
On and on. Far to much hassle to open an account.
useless website so leaving
update - website does not work for maturity instructions on a laptop, whatever the browser. Does work on a smartphone. They don't believe fault reports - DO NOT USE AND EXTRACT MONEY AS SOON AS YOU CAN.
was ok but they've 'upgraded' their website - now pig slow to load silly beach picture of fat man, and the maturity instructions button does not work. Of course they refuse to believe there is a fault, usual babble about 'problem with your device'. So money extraction instructions issued by phone. DO NOT USE THEM - WEBSITE UNUSABLE.
Yes Go house
Syliwa musha transfer out bank Scotland two till ford take out dasbilty Adult every get paid my miss out yes important polish people
Missing funds
According to my savings account, they have processed my payment (details correct), however they have not sent money to my bank. So my money has been sent somewhere but not to my account. I called TSB and they have not received credit, so WHERE IS MY MONEY? Be very wary!
Misleading
Opened account and next day received email the interest rate drops. No auto deposit funds from app you need to do it manualy only way they know its your funds is if you enter your reference. If you accidently type wrong code for example....1 digit you wont see your money i guess I wont be adding funds
So Far So Good
I read all the negative reviews and I was actually scared.
I transfered my ISA from my previous bank and it took less than 5 working days.
The service was faster than expected. Everything was communicated by messages on the website and by post.
They also replied to all my queries via email.
The only issue is the app, so old school, hope they will update it soon.
Transfer and closure of account problems
I've been trying for several months to transfer my ISA from Ford without success. I then got a text message saying my account was closed!
It maybe that the money has been transferred but the recipient company have no knowledge of this.
Surely Ford should give me warning about this closure and provide some communication about what's happened to my money. Money was transferred (ony made aware of this by recipient) Following day got a call back (from FORD) where it came as a surprise to them the money was transferred!
Good interest rates
Good interest rates. Interest paid monthly. Always on time.
Transfer of money out has been quick.
Shabby interest rate
Heard the advert and went to website. 4.04%! There are other accounts that pay from 4.40 yo 4.75%. Ford money must think UK consumers are not very clever.
AVOID!
AVOID!
So Ford money objected to my original post and it was taken down. I can only assume this was because they would find it impossible to defend the absolute shambles which prompted the review.
I opened a savings account on 9th June 2022 because they offered a very competitive savings rate and all was going well until I changed the nominated bank account. Then the nightmare began!
Having downloaded and completed the required form, I then sent it via the post (they don't allow it to be sent via email!), I then had to wait for security code to be sent, again via the post, to the address registered on the account when it was opened! Having waited 7 DAYS for that to arrive, I was able to confirm the change of account and thought I could then access MY MONEY. Little did I know!
So when I was unable to withdraw money I called to be told it was because there had too many changes on the account. WHAT? When I asked for further details, I was then told it was due to the change of bank account. I explained that I had sent emails, from the email account registered at the time of opening the account, attaching proof that the account was opened (sent via email to the same registered email account) and further proof showing money being transferred to that account. That was deemed not good enough. I was advised to download a statement from the new bank account. (this required three tiers of security check). This I did and emailed it to Ford money.
I called a couple of days later as I was still unable to access MY MONEY. Was advised that this wasn't good enough because it didn't have ALL of names, sort code and account number (it still required three tiers of security to download this. Advised that I should go to the local branch to get statement printed. Was also asked if I wanted to raise a complaint. YES!
So I go to the branch in person, provided three tiers of security ( including photo driving licence) and got the bank to print out statement. I showed name, sort code but not full account number (only last 4 digits, the rest were xxxx which I was told was standard
practice). This was emailed to Ford money.
The following working day I was still unable to access MY MONEY, so called again. Told that this was still not good enough. Asked to speak to manager, told you have to make appointment 48 hours in advance to do this. So appointment booked for 11am on 4/9/2025.
So back to the bank again, more security checks and they agree to send, via email, a statement. Once I had received this it was emailed to Ford Money.
Following day I called again, Still no access to MY MONEY. Told to wait 5 days for the stop to be lifted. Told the employee this was unacceptable and demanded stop be lifted. Was advised that she would have to email the compliance team and wait for their reply. Told he again this was unacceptable, she then said she would email them but couldn't call them while I was on the phone (obviously they only have one telephone line!). She promised to call back within a couple of hours to update me. Surprisingly she did this to tell me stop had been lifted. As a result I moved everything, except £1 (to keep account open whilst complaint is ongoing and manager calling the following day)
Following day at 11am NO CALL FROM MANAGER- TYPICAL!
From the change of nominated account to access MY MONEY, took FOUR WEEKS.
If Ford money don't believe I am a real customer, I have had a response from the complaint arrive in the post today. It was sent by Sxxxh Coxxxxxun
Instant Savings Account
Transferring monies from a Instant savings account to a Nominated Bank can be slow (6 hours)
could do better
I am very happy with Ford Money
I have an existing instant access account and, in the past have had fixed 1 year bonds and ISA's. I have always found Ford Money interest rates very attractive and have received excellent service at all times. They are my go to provider and I have nothing but good words to say about them.
ISA Transfer shambles
Requested an ISA transfer out of Ford Money on 22 July, the same day as I instructed Skipton Building Society to transfer another ISA out. The Skipton transfer was completed within 9 days with no issues. It's now 32 days since my request & Ford Money still haven't completed the transfer. Ford messaged me to say they had sorted out issues & the process would be completed by close of play yesterday. Surprise, surprise this hasn't been done despite me agreeing to the interest penalty a few days ago.
The interest rate might be decent, but customer service & their systems are poor. Avoid at all costs unless you want unnecessary stress.
Next stop financial ombudsman.
Good rates, App has room for improvement
Ford Money offer good rates on their accounts, not necessarily the very top rates available on the market but near enough without any of the messing about with temporary bonus rates. I hope they continue to improve the app as the customer experience element is really important. Simple things such as a dark mode to make the app easier to use in low light and widgets would make the app experience even better.
