AVOID THIS TRASH

An absolute scam. Like everyone else has said, I purchased in 2021 and waited around for two years and tried repeatedly to get a refund BEFORE they shipped the things, knowing that would just make matters worse. They finally shipped last week and just like everyone else, they don’t work. They are useless. And the company does NOT reply to any customer complaints. Their return policy on their site is purposely confusing and since they are based in Sweden, we will have to pay for our own shipping back. To be honest, I don’t trust them to actually refund me once I ship these back. They’ll probably just continue to ignore me and then ship this trash to some other sucker who got duped. Also the “app” is super low rent. An all around waste of $200. AVOID.

Ordered autumn 2021- still nada

Ordered autumn 2021. It’s now almost March 2023 and no sign of it. No answer from customer service so I couldn’t even get a refund if I tried. As a consumer lawyer, considering whether to report this company to regulators for misleading practices. Such a shame - you would expect they learned from version 1. Covid delay notwithstanding, they are way out of their depth on all aspects of product manufacturing, launch, comms, customer service.

Second version as bad as first.

Just received the Freedrum 2 kit after nearly a year and a half after buying on their indegogo crowd funding.
Total waste of time and money.
I feel like I have been duped twice.
I bought the freedom 1 kit a couple years back and they were horrible and so I gave it a second chance with the Freedrum 2 hoping and assuming that they corrected all the flaws in Freedrum 1. Wrong!
Same issues, they simply just don’t work. Period. Maybe someday in the future someone will perfect the idea but these are not it.

Doesn't work - no Support

I ordered FreeDrum 2 for a Christmas gift, after a long wait it arrived (after Christmas) despite the site not indicating that it would be late. Upon opening, the Freedrum did not work. The recipient sent an email to support the same day it was received (12/30/22) and to this date (2/10/23) has not received a response. When the return window was closing (January 13th) I decided to send the product back. I have sent 15 emails to date with only 2 responses, both were by Pablo and neither were followed up on. There was also no indication that he remembered the previous message regarding the same order number when he responded the second time.

Garbage product, trash service.

I bought this product 1 year ago, and finally received my piece of trash product 2 months ago. After opening the package I found one sensor completely smashed, not allowing the rest of the sensors to work properly. Ive reached out 4 times and have yet to receive any response from their customer support staff. Unbelievably disappointed.

Haven’t replied to 3 contact attempts. They are still charging me a monthly subscription fee even though I purchased a yearly subscription in September AND I deleted my payment method in the app.

UPDATE: I replied to their copy-and-paste email below and unsurprisingly received NO REPLY. I also canceled my account last month and THEY STILL BILLED ME!!! Please stay away from this company and safeguard your finances from them...

No reply to mails

Being one of the Kickstarter backers of Freedrum2, I am totally disappointed by the impossibility of getting a reply as to when the kit is actually going to be shipped. Mails to this regard have been ignored (I have mailed them a few times on the subject after they announced the product got certified for the EU). But after receiving a confirmation stating that they‘d got my mail and would respond within 24-72 hours, I never got any other info. Not even a standard message asking for more patience. Nothing.

Never received the product 4 months after ordering. Impossible to contact them and been trying to stop my subscription which seems to be impossible as they never respond. This company should be shut down as they are a pile of s**t

Hands off: This is obviously a Ponzi scheme

I have never experienced anything like this. I pre-ordered in November 2021. Since then: nothing. Again and again I have to ask or look in a Facebook group, there they answer very poorly and only give an update after a lot of pressure. These updates are vague, content always: Be patient.

But the main thing is to exhibit at NAMM instead of getting a grip on their product. What they showed at NAMM remains their secret. Also, all the "demo videos" seem to be overdubbed, that is never ever a live sound.

The few people who have received a delivery report that it does not work. Again, reference is made to a software update that is supposed to come sometime in January.

It is also blamed on the shipper that it does not work. In any case, it is always others who are to blame.

My suspicion: Ponzi scheme. They are still collecting orders, presumably to serve at least a few orderers and have a little money in the account. This company is finished, thousands of orders have not been fulfilled, in some cases not for almost two years.

What is most annoying is the arrogance with which they treat the people who trusted them via Kickstarter, Indigogo or via preorders. They simply don't care about them.

Actually, the Swedish supervisory authorities and the Swedish police should be informed. This is a big scam.

So this experience has been bad since…2020

So this experience has been bad since the beginning. I "purchased" the Freedrum 2 set in October of 2020 because I was looking for a way to practice while travelling. So after ALMOST 2 YEARS and a lot of back and forth emails, I finally got the set. Guess what? The whole thing is a mess. It won't stay connected to my Android tablet, the every other time it does connect I can't get the drums positioned so if I try to hit the hi hat I have to reach BEHIND me. The on line instructions look to be from the previous iteration of the software because the buttons aren't where the tutorial says they are. Total and complete waste of money and time. DON'T buy this product. If it worked it would be amazing but it doesn't and I had very high hopes that it would.

Ordered Freedrum more than a year ago (25/11/2022). When I mail the shop, they always say: it's shipped out now. It is not. It's a scam. I wonder if Freedrum 2 actually exists.

Never Received a Product

Purchased as part of the preorder on October 28, 2021. Was a gift for my son. Got one email saying there was a delay into Q2 2022. Have heard nothing since. They have my $249 and I have nothing. Thus far email inquiry has been unanswered.

Constant connection issues

Constant connection issues, we never have all four sensors working at once. The Android/iOS application is so littered with adware and constant nag screens to sign up to services we don't want that it is literally impossible to navigate. Don't buy this.

Tutorials find fun in freedrum

I have drummed for 40 years. 3 years or more with freedrum .I first studied the tutorials to learn how to adapt to hitting air.rewarded me totally as I love gadgets. dacs .micro mixers etc wanting an addition. Customer service has been A1.The latest firmware update is A1.Start up n drumming away in less than a minute.ZERO LATENCY.i cannot understand it got the above bad rap.seriously?splintery sticks ? nothing wrong with sticks.Was a compatible phone used ?Were the sensors updated calibrated? I have used these everywhere and on android without midi straight out playing.3 euro trips. in a studio.countless parties I have witness the joy they bring. if you read blogs n research you will find honest and helpful advice for freedrum by many users of this innovative invention.I am just a customer. I saw the 2 bad raps .I don't agree. I can vouch for this product.Again; I reiterate research.Truth will be the reward.
