No communication - item not shipped after a week

I have ordered a Panama hat (ORDER #4403) last Tuesday. Website mentioned 3 - 5 days delivery through DHL. Looking at the FAQ delivery time to the UK appeared to be 3 - 8 days. Since then I have heard nothing from the company and clearly the hat hasn't been shipped. This is all extremely disappointing.

If I don't hear back from you in the next couple of days I will raise a dispute with PayPal. If the hat is meant to be shipped, I wouldn't be prepared to pay for shipping.

Alternatively, please cancel my order and refund me the whole amount.

Two Panama Hats from last order and missing itemswas…

Two Panama Hats from last order was received in damaged condition. They were packed folded and very poorly. In addition, the shipment did not include three hat bands that were ordered. I followed up with an email about the damaged hats and missing hat bands. It’s been 3 weeks and the hat bands have not arrived as per their response.

They did not offer any explanation why the hats were folded in shipping that resulted in damaged hats.

The level of customer service is deplorable and frankly unacceptable. I would rate them less than a star but there’s no provision for that rating.

What a great company, we ordered our poncho on a Wednesday night and it arrived Thursday afternoon, within 24hrs!
Beautiful poncho as described super happy with it, soft and warm perfect for festival season in the UK.

Product was “ok”….but return policy was not

Product was ok - not quite the quality I expected. I considered defective and purchased for a trip. Needed to buy somewhere else and return or exchange. Return policy and customer service were abysmal . Wanted me to pay for shipping of the defective item or keep the defective item and get a 30% discount on a future purchase . Why would I ever buy from this company again? Buyer beware!

Slow to fulfil orders and don't read emails properly

This company lies about the shipping times on their site. I paid for Express Shipping and 4 days after ordering they've only just shipped it. The website claims they take two days to process orders, but clearly that's incorrect as mine has taken twice as long. They're also stating it should arrive in 3-5 business days despite the site stating there are two types of shipping - standard 3-8 business days or two day shipping. I would have assumed the premium I paid for Express Shipping would be the two day shipping rather than the standard I could have paid less for.

When you contact them to query issues such as this they half answer questions - repeatedly quoting me standard shipping times when making excuses for not shipping my order in a timely fashion. Replies are slow and show they only read half the email before trying to fob you off as questions are left unanswered from each email I've sent. I've been in contact with Gabriela who is named checked as being good on other reviews on this site - it seems that person got lucky.

They've refunded one of the items I ordered with absolutely no explanation as to why - despite me asking for one (an example of the unanswered questions in emails that show they're not reading them in full).

I for one will not be using them again - and this is even before the items have arrived! I would suggest you find anywhere else to place order for similar items.

EDIT POST REPLY BELOW - gave an extra star as when a company admits fault and tries to rectify a problem they deserve credit.

Thank you for doing the refund of the defective items which I returned. In previous emails even back to November though I did ask for a mailing label to be sent to me for sending back defective items but never received mailing label so I could mail these items back without charge.
I had to pay to mail these items back then because I never received the mailing label so please refund the $30 which I spent to return the defective items.

Faulty merch and very little compensation

Company shipped me a poncho with a snag on the front material, I submitted a faulty order claim and sent them all photo evidence, on 15th of march. I then got an email on 20th march asking if I would like a new poncho or refund, I said a new poncho, a week later I've now only been offered a 10% refund for the original item price, and no exchange for the damaged goods which I think is absolutely shocking! I have asked for an email address to take this further and I still have not received anything. The poncho's are amazing quality hence why I am still pushing to get my exchange but this horrendous customer service is testing my patience.

Synthetic, waste of money, overpriced and non returnable

I have now been offered the opportunity to return this poncho ( see previous reviews) which I do not believe is Alpaca, probably acrylic or some mix (I have asked for some proof that it's actually Alpaca. None is forthcoming). However I am told I need to return it to Texas, despite the company having stock and despatch capacity in Europe. This will cost a great deal to send from the UK. That's one way to discourage a return! ( shipping fees are of course non refundable)

Integrity in question

It has been over two weeks since Gamboa Fashions has received my return. I followed their steps for requesting an exchange, but have not heard one word. They claim that the company will respond in 3 days upon receipt of the merchandise. I've called three times having to leave messages and have sent countless emails. No response, no call, no text...
Update: I decided to call once more. I would get the answering machine. I'd hang up an redial. I did at least ten times. I finally broke through and spoke with a person that corrected the problem.
