Morally bankrupt company
This company cold called my 83 year old dementia suffering father to sell him a boiler cover policy for £260. He already has ample cover from British Gas so didn't need any cover. They waited 13 days to send out his notice of terms, including his right to cancel within 14 days. By that time the money was already out of his bank account. He had no recollection of ever speaking to anybody. When contacted by email the company simply tells me that he's signed up for a year's policy. Then no reply from them to 3 further emails asking for immediate cancellation.
Morally bamkrupt company.

Terrible company, do not use them!
Similar to one of the reviews from earlier this year, I had a terrible time with Gas Assist trying to fix a problem of their own making which their lack of workmanship guarantee couldn't cover.
Initially, they were helpful in assisting me getting a new combi boiler. When it came to installing, it all seemed fine, although remedial work that was needed on the outside of the building took weeks to complete after many phone calls to the engineer. Clearly, once the boiler was fitted, it was not their priority to clear up and put everything back into a good state. I had a massive hole in my apartment building for weeks that they had made and needed to be filled.
My main problem came after 6 months in November when my system was coming on more often. As my apartment is mostly unoccupied, everything was automated but the heating was turned off in the summer. Weeks after it came on, there was a massive leak which flooded my flat and the one downstairs. On closer look, the pipe that Gas Assist had installed connecting the mains water to the Boiler was loose and pouring water.
It took a while and at my own cost for Gas Assist to send an engineer around to fix this. Worse of all, they simply sub-contracted a local engineer who didn't even know who Gas Assist were, rather than their own engineer who could have seen how bad of a job it was. The other engineer commented that had the pipe been installed properly and been secured to not allow the pipes to move, this wouldn't have been a problem. Unfortunately for me, Gas Assist engineers are clearly incompetent. Or I should say that they don't even have their own engineers and simply sub-contract other people, so why bother with them.
When trying to follow up with them, my calls were getting passed through to people who never followed up or called back. It was then that I discovered that they only provide a 90 days workmanship guarantee, something that was not in any of the paper work I had received. My entire interaction with them were on the phone or via email and in none of the correspondence did they mention this. They simply refused to help and accept liability.
Based on that alone and every other contractor out there providing a year guarantee at least, I would avoid them.
To this day, I am still following up on reparation work at my flat because of their incompetence.
I have since called someone from Gas Safe who stated that their work was not up to standards. So despite what Gas Assist might tell you about being Gas Safe registered, I would not trust them.

It wasn't a small leak. The flat downstairs is completely ruined as a result. What assistance will you provide given you have provided none so far after endless phone calls. The boiler has a 5 (not 10) year warranty, not your workmanship which is way below standard.
This was also in the Gas Safe Report:
"Defect ref 2487027; Attributable defect.
The pressure relief discharge pipe from the appliance terminated horizontally on passing to the exterior. This was not in accordance with Manufacturer's Instructions Section 7.6 page 23 and British Standard BS 6798:2014 Specification for the selection, installation, inspection, commissioning, servicing and maintenance of gas fired boilers of rated input not exceeding 70 kW net. BS 6798:2014 requires the gas boiler pressure relief pipe discharge to be indirectly or directly visible and will not discharge on to the occupants of the premises or on to any electrical components or wiring.
The defect was classified as: Not to Current Standards.
We have written to Gas Assist Ltd requiring them to correct this defect by 17/02/2023"
UPDATE based on response: It was NOT a small leak and completely destroyed the flat downstairs. Your engineer, who was actually a third party, simply fixed reinstalled the loose pipe that the original installer failed to connect properly.
