Hi Jhon, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.

We hear your frustration and understand how upsetting it can feel to pay for a service and feel like support isn’t meeting your needs, that’s understandably stressful.

We aim to provide clear access to care and support through our member support team, and our chatbot is designed to connect you with a real team member if your query can’t be resolved automatically. Optional sessions with an expert are also available for anyone who would like more personalised guidance or someone to talk things through with.

Please reach out via our chatbot if you’d like to speak to a team member, we’re here to help and make sure you get the support you need.

Please go anywhere else.

GenderGP used to be an incredible service and I really mean used. I’ve been with them since 2018 and watching the steady downhill slide year after year has been honestly upsetting. It’s started to feel like a for-profit machine that leans heavily on young trans people instead of properly supporting them.

Need to speak to someone quickly? That’ll be £7.99.
Need a blood test sorted? That’s £25.
Want to talk about changing your meds? Good luck feels like you get told when you’re allowed, not listened to.

And trying to get replies from support emails feels like shouting into the void half the time.

There are providers out there like Anne.health and others that actually feel like they care about trans patients and their wellbeing. Based on my experience, I genuinely wouldn’t recommend GenderGP to anyone thinking of signing up.

Lethargic...and delayed... communication

Okay once you get your hormones. I ran out of half of my medicines 3 weeks ago and reaching out to GenderGP has not been easy. The Hub sent me round in circles and emailing was pretty useless. It is very difficult to get in touch with GenderGP. I sent 2 emails over a week ago but there is no response.

I got a prescription that was not correct and I have emailed twice to get some help and I am still waiting. There is not much I can do. Until they respond I just have to wait.

It has affected my dysphoria waiting like this and my depression.

Repeat prescription 3 months…

Repeat prescription 3 months automatically renew is such a pain for those who can't afford a big amount of money at once without no alternative option given.

They prove me on e again they don't care about patients just about bomber and money.

They have no clue about the negative mental health impact and the stress this affects about disphoria and suicidal mental thoughts.

Mad, very bad.

No good.

Information Gathering Session with James

I've had an information gathering session with James and he was incredibly patient, clear and supportive. His calm and supportive nature allowed me to talk about my own gender journey freely and comfortably. He helped me to understand the processes, the next steps and how to access further support. Thank you James!

THANK YOU GENDER GP

I honestly cannot thank GenderGP enough for everything they’ve done for me. In so many ways, they’ve saved my life.

I recently had a Google Meet session with Dr. Charles, and it was such a reassuring and supportive experience. We talked through my journey and made adjustments to my hormone plan together. He truly listened, guided me with care, reassured me when I needed it most, and helped me feel confident and safe in the decisions we made. I never felt dismissed, just supported and understood.

Since being with GenderGP, my mental health has improved massively, and I’m seeing real physical changes too. I’m happier, more at peace, and more connected to myself and my emotions than I’ve ever been. I finally feel like me. I feel beautiful. It’s genuinely been life changing, and the journey itself has been so meaningful and empowering.

I also want to give a special thank you to James Morris. He is such a kind and supportive person, and I will never forget my information gathering sessions with him. He helped me so much at the start of my journey, and looking back now, I can see just how far I’ve come. I’m so proud of myself and so grateful for the support I’ve had along the way.

I would also really recommend following Dr. Helen on TikTok. She is absolutely amazing, and her content around gender affirming care, rights, and related topics is incredibly informative and empowering.

I would highly recommend GenderGP.

28/1/26

I recently had a Google Meet catch-up session with James Morris, and it was such a positive experience.

We talked about my transition, my journey so far, and how much my mental health has improved. I felt really comfortable talking to him, and the conversation was calm, respectful, and easy to follow.

I also had a question about the GenderGP portal, and James explained everything clearly and thoroughly. He answered my question in a way that was easy to understand, and I came away feeling well informed.

If you ever feel unsure, confused, or just need clarification on something, I would absolutely recommend booking a session with James Morris, or any of the staff at GenderGP. They give you the space to ask questions and talk things through without pressure.

I’m very grateful for the support I’ve received, and this session was another reminder of how professional and supportive the GenderGP team is.

I have now waited almost 60 days to…

I have now waited almost 60 days to receive my first paper prescription from GenderGP.

Despite repeated contact attempts, emails, and follow-ups, I have either received generic responses, contradictory information, or no response at all. I have been told multiple times that the prescription has been “sent” — without it ever arriving. There is no realistic way to speak to a human being without paying, and support is effectively inaccessible when you have a real problem.

This is not about impatience.
This is about medication, continuity of care, and patient safety.

I am far from the only one. Over the past few months, many EU users have reported identical problems with paper prescriptions: extremely long waiting times, lost deliveries, and a lack of accountability. When dealing with hormone treatment, this is simply unacceptable.

I have lost confidence in GenderGP’s ability to manage a treatment pathway where reliability is essential, and I have therefore switched to IMAGO.

The only thing that consistently works at GenderGP is their payment collection. With their new Hub, the cost has also increased significantly: you are now required to pay every month to have a prescription issued, even though in practice you only receive a prescription every three months. This means the effective cost has increased to around three times the original level — without any improvement in service.

If paper prescriptions can no longer be delivered reliably, this should be communicated honestly, and patients should be offered real alternatives without additional cost. As it currently functions, the system feels opaque, expensive, and lacking responsibility for the patient’s treatment.

Refuse to give refunds

Refuse to give refunds, breaching UK consumers rights, by not giving appropriate refunds for after poor descriptions in regards to blood tests. This company is predatory and relies on the oppression of transgender people to fuel it’s greed.

8 Years ago GenderGP saved my life

I’ve always knew who I am, 8 years ago I decided to start what I’ve been trying to keep up with and nothing was helping.

While all doors were shot, Dr Helen was there providing what others did not, smoothly, and professionally.

I had been judged before even from professionals at another GPs, this was not the case with GenderGP, none of the staff were anything but professional, caring, and just wanted to help.

Today I was happy to see her videos on social media and decided to leave a review here and a big THANK YOU.

🙏 lots of love to all the team.

I strongly advise vulnerable patients to approach this service with extreme caution.

I subscribed to GenderGP approximately one year ago during a period of severe mental vulnerability related to gender dysphoria. At that time I was actively seeking support, as my mental state was highly unstable and I was struggling to cope.

I am not financially well-off, but I managed to save enough for the initial payment because I believed this service existed to support people in situations like mine. Unfortunately, my experience left me feeling financially and emotionally strained rather than supported.

The subscription is presented as “monthly”, however payments are taken every 28 days, which in practice can result in multiple charges within a single calendar month. This was not clearly or transparently communicated. In addition, many interactions and steps within the service require additional payments, making it unclear what the base subscription actually covers.

When attempting to cancel, I discovered that I can't access my account at their platform (“The Hub”) as it requires an additional payment of ~£250, which I personally found excessive and distressing, especially given the vulnerability of the patients this service claims to support.

I have contacted customer support for clarification and am awaiting a response. Based on my experience, I believe this service poses significant financial and emotional risks for transgender people in vulnerable mental states. I cannot recommend it and strongly encourage others to avoid this service.

New hub ruined experience.

I would have recommended GenderGP a couple of months ago. However, they have switched to a new site which is heavily AI focused and it is riddled with bugs. I have been trying to get in contact with a real person for almost a month, but it just isn't working.

Their automated chatbot keeps saying I will get a response in 2 business days, but it just doesn't happen and with the new system, there is no way to get in contact with a real tech support person

DONT DO IT!!!

I WOULDN'T EVEN GIVE ONE STAR, Im writing this review on the 21/12/25 but have set the date last year because ever since I started with gendergp my experience has just got WORSE! Now I dont blame anyone wanting to use this site to transition faster as the NHS wait times are crazy! But I have had no support what so ever. I've been with them 2 years and was told someone would check in with me once every 6 months AT LEAST since then no one as said anything, there's no care or concern, I have never been asked for blood tests or any checks, every time I use the site its different and doesn't work now I haven't even had any information on my prescription THAT I HAVE PAID FOR! terrible terrible site the owner and the workers should be ashamed of themselves.

Fast to HRT, crap for everything else.

Got me on HRT within 2 months back in 2020, that is the only thing i like about gender GP. Basically no correspondance, charges abhorrent pricing and then just.. doesnt send the admin you pay for. Was good a few years back but now theyre just money grabbing and useless. Ive been waiting 2 weeks for a bit of admin i shouldve got in 24 hours. If you have the money for gender gp take it to literally any other service.

LRC Radio interview - 11 Dec 16:30

LRC Radio 11 Dec 16:30
A very important subject for discussion today. I listened to Helen Webberley on LBC this afternoon and came away unimpressed. Side stepping very sensible questions. And being quite defensive at times. Is this a commercial organisation? I guess so. Listen to the catch-up recording on LBC to decide for yourself. I was saddened and shocked. And before anyone asks, I do not work for LBC or any related company.

Just listened to Helen on LBC and she is very angry and is unwilling to answer challenging questions. She was only willing to engage with those who like her wish to harm those who clearly are unwell. Very dangerous woman who is seeking to play God.

Gender GP is the BEST

Gender GP is an amazing service. Every single person I have dealt with (especially James and Fedora) has been incredible. Empathic, understanding, knowledgeable, just brilliant. I had been on the NHS waiting list 3.5 years, had not even had a single consultation, joined Gender GP and after 6 months had started hormones and had my top surgery. I cannot recommend them enough. They have literally changed my life. They really care about helping trans people and go the extra mile for you, you never feel like it's just another company. I have been with them for a while now but today I was having a nightmare with ID and James just sorted it. They are always there for you. 10/10 no notes!
