Ordered a lawnmower that came with 2 batteries. It arrived with one. Rang the company to be told that online orders are a completely different organisation and I would have to complete a customer form. I did tgis, with all the required details. To date I have tried over a dozen times to submit that form, only to be told in a pop up message that there are technical issues with submitting forms and to try again later.

The most painful online experience ever.
I spent a £1000 on a strimmer but the machine was delivered damaged but there is no customer service phone number and its impossible to get them on any number.
So I emailed about the problem and there automatic response said they hope to reply in two days. 2 days later i heard nothing so asked for a return again stating happy for them to call me to arrange a replacement machine or damaged part. 2 days pass and they emailed simply asked when i wanted a return so i accepted. Then machine was collected and 3 days later i get a refund although bar the shipping and £5 less than the purchase price which i cant be bothered to argue about.
So all is sort of fine but that took 2 weeks and i was never able to speak to anyone. They really shouldnt be selling online it seems!

I was very surprised at how quickly my Stihl strimmer arrived. The price was very competitive, delivery next day. Online order was not as efficient as some but I will still give George Browns 5 stars. The staff in the branches that I spoke to were very helpful and friendly. Thank you George Browns 👍.

I visited the Daventry branch this morning to look for a part for our garden strimmer, I didn’t know what it was supposed to look like and only had a photo of the strimmer itself (no model number). The man behind the counter was extremely pleasant and helpful, seemed to know exactly what was needed,in spite of the sketchy information provided, and said to bring the part back if it wasn’t quite right. My best shopping experience in a long time!

Bought a Mower which arrived broken, filled in the online form..twice..a week later and no contact, tried ringing the shops and they say the online shop is a separate business and there is nothing that they can do…Sadly not the exceptional service advertised on their website..I need the mower for work and now they have my money and I have no mower..

After ordering a new Stihl strimmer I found their communication was poor.I received the item in 7 days but was in the dark before fedex got in touch.In short more an up to date progress report would have been appreciated.

This company sends packages through a courier company with which it's impossible to choose a delivery time or date. As a result, my package, which I expected to receive two days ago, will be returned to George Browns in the end. They, in turn, refuse to help me with the package, even though I've already sent them an email.
P.S. 17.04.26. Money are not returned, product is not delivered.
P.S. I just spoke with FedEx and they said, that you asked them to get parcel back, which means that you can amend/retrieve the parcel. So actually you just lied to me. And I paid for ~6£ for your lie.

They sent the wrong product. Were difficult to contact to speak to someone. On a positive, when I did speak to someone via accounts who then put me in touch with customer services they were efficient and sent out the product immediately. I needed he product for a job too which was frustrating.

Purchased a Stihl unit which there was a problem with. I self employed and time cost money when you are self employed. The response I had was laboured and eventually when they did get in touch me they were trying to push take to it a local dealership scenario, which isn’t that close to me.
I will do purchasing with my local dealership from now on and avoid the constant headache of online purchasing.

I used George browns to purchase a Stihl FS55R. Paid the price at the point of purchase including £9.95 for delivery to NI which is basically the standard fee from Great Britain to morning . it’s in most cases already an inflated delivery fee from Great Britain to Northern Ireland. So I had emailed this company to find out delivery instructions to be then told I needed to pay an extra £15 more on delivery on top of the £9.95 I already paid. Which then made the product to expensive as Ivan get it cheaper else where. Even though the sale was already agreed with shipping costs calculated.
Advice to Northern Ireland companies is, stick clear of them. Use companies who’s shipping costs isn’t a grey area or you will end up getting stung by this company. If they don’t know there business well enough to even know what shipping fees are then I’d question the integrity throughout their establishment.
