I was grateful for the experience that…

I was grateful for the experience that I had with Celina Shelton, who was a physical therapist with a company called Luna at home Physical Therapy. I have never experienced quite the high quality of care that Celina gave to me and my husband and now my granddaughter. What makes Celina stand out most is the intense interest in ensuring that each of our physical problems was remedied by her attention to detail in working with us. She went above and beyond by bringing outside items that she felt would help us at our own cost. She was so dedicated to our recovery that I considered her to be a lifelong friend and confidant. Anyone that is lucky enough to get Celina to be their therapist is going to be truly blessed. Glenna Randolph

Luna decided to add $7.50 for…

Luna decided to add $7.50 for meaningless, frivolous "concierge services" such as mileage for the therapist that the therapist does not receive among other "services" such as "weekend availability" but they never answer their phone. Luna pockets that money. If the patient refuses to pay, the cut him or her off regardless of whether they are Medicare. This is extortion.

The Concierge/Service Fee helps us continue offering high-quality care directly in your home. While the cost of delivering this kind of personalized service rises each year - including mileage, scheduling and clinical resources, and technology costs - insurance reimbursements have actually dropped 8%-10% since 2020 and continue to decline.

This fee supports a range of services that make your experience more convenient and comprehensive. It covers therapist travel and mileage for in-home visits, weekend and evening availability when applicable, appointment reminders and rescheduling via text and the Luna app, and access to the Luna app with exercise programs and unlimited therapist messaging. It also includes support through our Concierge hotline and the Luna app, physician coordination and insurance authorization help, communication with your physician/surgeon, and continued access to your in-app exercise plan after your care ends.

The fee is disclosed in several places to patients before any appointments take place. It is discussed over the phone during a patient’s initial scheduling, it is emailed to patients in their Benefits Verification email alongside deductible and co-pay information, and it is accepted via the Intake Form that patients fill out prior to their first appointment.

Luna doesn’t provide timely therapy.

I went without much needed PT for a week because I couldn’t get Luna to send anyone out. I appealed to them several times to no avail. If you can use someone else do. When a therapist did come he was great but I only had two appointments with him because he was leaving for another job. My recovery has been delayed due to the lack of therapy. Luna is useless in my opinion. Find someone else.

Justin was a very knowledgeable…

Justin was a very knowledgeable therapist. He was very personable and helpful. He gave me several pages of exercises to continue doing.
If I need physical therapy again, I would like to see him again.
Luna was very organized and coordinated the visits well.

Just what I needed

I have been looking for a way to get physical therapy in a private setting as most physical therapist offices are group settings. I met Gray from Luna and he is exactly what I'm looking for. He's very patient and understanding and works with you at your pace. I don't mind doing the workouts or the exercises because of the way he presents it. And he usually has a joke when he comes to see me

Would not recommend to my worse enemy. THEY STOLE MONEY OUT OF MY ACCOUNT, THEY MAKE YOU PAY EVEN IF THEY DIDNT PROVIDE SERVICE, STAY AWAY!!!! BE AWARE, SCAM SCAM SCAM . Trying to deal with them is worse than dealing with PlayStation, stay away

This company is not professional

This company is not professional, organized, or clear on what a client can expect. They were very responsive to taking my mother as a client but not in helping her. After a month of waiting told her they don't have any PTs and dropped her. They should have known this from the beginning. A manager (finally got thru to one after 2 days of waiting for a call back, and several calls to them to followup on the callback) said we should have been told that there was very little chance we'd get a PT, but we never were until the 4th phone call at 4 weeks. She did apologize for my frustration - but not for the lack of customer care. I am frustrated because of the time and energy lost getting my mother help. I would not recommend using this organization.

Our Concierge team asks patients if they would be interested in joining the waitlist and we aren't really able to promise that a day and time will open up in the time period that is needed. If you'd like to email info@getluna.com with your mother's name, we'd be happy to see if there were any extenuating circumstances affecting the time to match your mother with a therapist. Perhaps your mother is farther out of our geographic range or your mother needed a specific type of treatment that is less common which delayed care. Typically, patients spend about 48 hours on the waitlist so your mother's experience sounds very unusual. We'd be happy to review and see if we can do something to help.
