GO Zeal!
I had a fantastic experience working with Zeal. From the outset, Matt has been incredibly helpful — responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in getting things right for me.

Delighted with the service received, the speed and professionalism from everyone I dealt with. Really clear advice and have saved me a lot of money.

Reliable, thorough and a great service
Zeal staff were extremely reliable and helpful. They did exactly what they said they would do, producing a full report which could potentially result in significant tax savings. Thank you.
Efficient and (very) effective service
Zeal handled our tax rebate for a property we bought six years ago as a furnished holiday let, identifying around £100k of unclaimed allowances. The claim was handled quickly and effectively by Tom with no pushback from HMRC and without excessive amounts of paperwork being required from us. All questions were responded to quickly and clearly by Tom who will be available in the future to help us if we forget what goes where when filing future returns. Altogether a faultless cradle to grave service and I have no reservation in recommending them.
Beware
Beware – my experience mirrors many other negative reviews
I was cold-called by Zeal in February 2024, despite never seeking their services. At the time I was in a very vulnerable position (dealing with a domestic abuse court case and on increased medication) yet was still pressed to sign quickly.
The engagement letter was ambiguous, especially clause 8.3, which I understood to mean fees would only become due when HMRC repayments or confirmed tax savings were realised. Instead, Zeal invoiced me thousands of pounds upfront after receiving only a modest HMRC repayment.
Worse still, the first invoice was wrong and only corrected after days of back-and-forth – something you shouldn’t expect from a firm of “tax professionals”. This added unnecessary stress and made me seriously question their accuracy and transparency.
Looking at other reviews, it’s clear my experience is not an isolated incident. Many clients report the same pattern: being led to believe there’d be no upfront outlay, only to find themselves billed heavily while any actual benefit may take years to materialise.
I have paid in full, but I would never recommend Zeal. If you’ve had a similar experience, I would strongly encourage you to also raise it with their professional/regulatory body, so that the scale of these issues is recognised and addressed.
This review reflects my personal experience and understanding of events.

Did what they said they would do
Zeal Tax was recommended to me by the Professional Association of Self-Caterers (PASC).
Zeal did what they said they would do, on time, professional and efficient. It proved to be a great return on investment.
I am happy to recommend Zeal to anyone needing specialist capital allowances advice for a holiday let.

Capital Allowances Claim
Zeal (particularly Keshia and Jack) were great to deal with. They were very professional, friendly and always there to answer my questions. They guided me through the process of claiming capital allowances on my Airbnb and successfully identified over £100,000 of allowances. I was delighted with this result and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Zeal.
