Terrible company, non-existent customer service

Terrible company. My first pair of boots split in several places after only 10 months; I contacted the company via their Facebook page, with photos of the damage, and was given an email address; my email was never even acknowledged. The local company that supplied them replaced them without a quibble, but the second pair split after only 4 months of light wear - no more than half an hour a day - during the summer months. I have emailed the company using the address on their website as well as their contact form, and haven't had any reply at all. A bad product and appalling customer service. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

If I was able I wouldn't even give 1 star. Avoid these wellingtons at all costs. I have had 4 pairs now 3 of these pairs have leaked. First pair was bought locally and replacements issued no hassle. After a couple of years they needed replacing. Next pair bought direct from Grubb, after 4 outings the last in heavy rain the right foot leaked, contacted Grub had to send various photos, told this problem had never happened before, finally replaced. On 2nd outing these also leaked. Can't be bothered to go through the whole palaver again. I will never buy Grub again.

Not fit for purpose

Not fit for purpose! Similar to previous reviews my Fenline boots started to crack after around 3 months use walking my dogs and then only in wet weather.
Did get replacements from the retailer after getting nowhere from the manufacturer. The replacements developed exactly the same problem in a similar time.
This company obviously does not believe in quality control or checks otherwise they would have changed the material used. Utter rubbish!!

Avoid

Wanted to support a local firm, definitely won’t recommend now. Purchased in Jan 23, casual wear an now split. Spoke to customer service first person helpful second person not at all helpful.Told because of the age of the boots (9 months!,) it’s damage from wear an tear!, Don’t expect wellies to last less than 9 months. AVOID THIS COMPANY

Tideline wellies…very poor product and shocking after sales service from Grubs

Purchased a pair of Tideline wellies and in less than a year after casual use, the neoprene has separated around the lower part of the boot. Grubs have refused to replace the boots citing wear and tear not a manufacturing fault! It is very obviously a manufacturing fault if the 2 layers separate. Very poor value for money if a pair of £68 wellies cannot last a year.

Purchased Mens Highline Wellies which split and leaked in less than 3 months , customer service requests photos of problem and to be fair sent new replacement. Even worse as both Wellies leaked badly on first outing - won't be buying this brand again.

Boots so heavy, like 2 bricks

Boots so heavy it's like having 2 bricks tied to your feet, hard to get on and off but yet when on foot bed too big so lots of movement, couldn't walk any distance in these wellies, will give to charity shop after seeing these customer reviews so I don't suffer any further stress.

I have had my Grub boots for 6 weeks and the seam at the back has split, just trying to get an answer from the supplier now, but reading the reviews I’m not holding out much hope for the next pair, which is a shame as they were lovely warm and comfortable to walk in.

fantastic wellie if you enjoy having wet and cold feet

If you enjoy having wet and cold feet, then these wellies are perfect for you! If not, go elsewhere - brand new pair of Grubs Frostline wellies heavily leaking on their first use. Not what I expected from a £75 pair of wellies; or maybe I should have if I'd bothered to read trust pilots reviews first.

In response to my complaint, Grubs refunded the boots, however instead of returning them for inspection they just requested that I cut the logos off...says it all really. Don't waste your time/money....

Dissappointed

Same problems with Grubs Fenland 5 boots ...I sent my first pair back as the sole came away from the upper after 6 months of light use. Grubs sent a replacement pair which both cracked at the heels within 6 months and now let water in. Really disappointed as they are comfy, warm and grippy...

Poor quality for premium price

Poor quality for premium price.
My boots cracked after using fewer than 20 times on very short dog walks.
Expect £70 boots to last a lifetime.
Wish I'd read the reviews here first.
Buy another brand!

Grubs tideline boots

Grubs tideline boots. Split and leaking in 6 months with moderate dog walking, not every day! Customer service suggested that ‘they were told’ that xxx product could seal the leak! £70 for a rubbish product and rubbish customer service. Go elsewhere!

Heel collapse within a week

Bought the Grub Tideline boots... have worn them twice, on the 3rd time of wearing them,i got 20yards from home and one of the heels was making a noise, and it feels like the heel has collapsed inside making the boot very uncomfortable. I've only had them 8days. So the boot itself gets a 1 star.
I havent worn boots since the frogfaces of 87, this was first pair since being a child... my wife kept telling me over the years to buy wellies.. 1st pair in 36yrs and they failed after a week...

The supplier I'm dealing with gets 5stars as they've exchanged them straight away, even without a receipt.

Poor quality, avoid

Poor quality, rubber has cracked in multiple places in less than a year. Didn’t bother trying to claim under warranty as didn’t keep the receipt and their warranty small print looks impossible to claim under. Will vote with my feet (pun intended) and go elsewhere next time.

Dont waste your money! unless you only want wellies for 5 days a year!

wish id read these reviews before purchasing a pair! ive had them since October last year - but only started wearing them after christams then stored away for most of the summer months, along with other boots are are still ok. They been getting used for 3 month and they are literally disintegrating. i cant return or get a refund from Go Outdoors as they over a 1year old and Grubs are not interested in engaging into there badly made product. i couldnt fault the fit and the warmth of there boots but they are defo not designed to be used as an every day wellington!

Absolutely the worst quality of boots…

Absolutely the worst quality of boots and worst customer service. Bought 2 pairs, for me and the wife and within 4 months a heathy crack opened up. Grub advised to return them to the place of purchase (with no apology) which I did. 3 months later another crack appeared in my replacement boots and they also started to let water in at the membrane lower calf. My wife's boots also started to let water in as they started come apart. Now my mother in laws frostline boots have started to leak and she has barely used them at all. Utter Disgrace. Grub boots were not interested at all as by this pointitvwas over the 12 month warranty. Oh and if you try and pop any photos of said cracked boots on their Facebook or Instagram pages if will deleted pretty dam quick. My Le Chameau boots are much better quality.

Poor quality and customer service

I like my original Frostline boots were very comfortable, however they had a major leak within 3 months. (the sole/tread came apart). Due to a closed retail outlet it took 6 months to get replacements. Unfortunately the replacements also leaked within 4 months. I raised this with Grubs customer service, who stuck to "the 12 months warranty via the retailer". Poor service. I expected more.
