Another great experience!

Diego was very patient and helpful with finding the best insurance option for my vehicle. The process was spread over several months because of changes to the order for my car. But with each change, Diego patiently updated the insurance quotes and explained why certain things had changed. Once things were finalized, he made the payment process quick and easy. He also answered my followup questions quickly and accurately. Overall another great experience with Diego and Guardian Insurance.

Excellent service

When my annual coverage increased by almost 40% this year, Reyna Parra was proactive in finding me other options for my healthcare. I decided to stay with my current plan and pay the increase because of the exemplary service I have received from Reyna over the past seven years. Her assistance has been priceless.

I have just endured a 2 month nightmare…

I have just endured a 2 month nightmare experience with this company and I would like to warn others who may be considering working with this firm.

In early January, I engaged Guardian Insurance MX to set up a high-deductible major medical policy (Bupa Nacional Plus) as a permanent resident. I provided all my documentation immediately. What followed was nearly 60 days of endless delays, radio silence, and complete incompetence.

Their underwriting department dragged their feet for weeks, only to resurface to ask a trivial question about my occasional hiking habits, and then went dark again. The broker blamed the delays on a high volume of new applications due to tax law changes in Mexico. While I understand market shifts, a two-month delay for basic health insurance approval, and total lack of communication about it, is completely unacceptable.

The absolute worst part, however, was the broker's failure to listen. When I demanded a resolution or alternative options, she sent me quotes that completely ignored my explicitly stated requirements. I asked for a $50 Million MXN catastrophic limit with a U.S. emergency rider and full access to the ABC and Angeles hospital systems in CDMX. Instead, she pitched me a low-limit policy capped at $200,000 , and quotes from a company (VUMI) that I had already specifically vetoed in writing because of network penalties —and she didn't even include the U.S. emergency rider I requested!

If you want a broker who respects your time, pays attention to detail, and actually listens to your coverage needs, look elsewhere. I am taking my business to a firm that actually knows what they are doing.

However, we would like to clarify that the timeline of your application was determined by the insurer’s underwriting process, which is outside of a broker’s control. Your case required full medical underwriting, and our team remained in continuous contact with the carrier and escalated the case multiple times in order to obtain a final decision.

We also ensured that the approval was issued by the date that was ultimately requested by you. Regarding the coverage options you mentioned, our intention was to provide alternatives that could potentially meet your needs while the underwriting review was still pending. As we understood the only option that fully met your needs was the plan you were applying to, but at no point were your requests ignored.

We regret that the process took longer than expected and understand your frustration, but we did advocate for your case throughout the process and worked to obtain the final approval from the insurer.

We wish you the best moving forward, and appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.
