The Guitar Fabrik Reviews

Shipment
came on time... nice guitar kit

I don't like the fact that I didn't know what the shipping charge was until I paid for my purchase. It was almost as much as what I purchased!

They made a mistake with the model of guitar I recieved but they gave me a solution quickly.
The guitar kit has very goog quality and the Guitar Fabric team has been very kind.

Since last Wednesday when I placed the order I am still awaiting confirmation that the DIY kit has been sent. Which means there's no way to receive it within just several working days as stated in the site

I had in remind to renew my old Epiphone Guitar. As I never pratice any wood working, I sent some questions to the website. the team sent me a lot on information and advise, considering my color target and the wood of my guitar. I am really satisfied with the result. The alcool dye colors are really easy to use, even a sunburst is made in a few hours.

Quality and Velocity. The bulding Manual ist very good. Neck and Body are beautifull. Thank you.

Absolutely no issues with the product (so far) and delivery to Canada was days ahead of schedule. My kit instructions were in French but the company resolved it within minutes. I am just about to start sanding now. Down the rabbit hole I go . . .

Website easy to use, option to buy as a guest, product was as described and expected, delivery on time. Also, what I've bought was not availabe on other online market.
Good experience.

Very intuitive Website and very fast delivery. Was the second time I ordered from the guitar kit fabric and both times I was happy from start to finish. Ordering is easy, delivery is fast and the products are great!

I'd been looking at the Guitar Fabric's kits for awhile and finally decided to bite on their Rickenbacker bass kit because it's not the time to be making sawdust in a cold, wet British rear yard.

Ordered on a Tuesday, it was shipped from their France depot on Wednesday, and it arrived in my hands on Friday morning of the same week. That's pretty impressive.

There was a little confusion over the import charges - I was notified by SMS from the carrier that charges needed to be paid on the order. That was before the team at GF had accessed their emails that day - GF wait for notification from the carrier/handler and then their accounts department pays any charges on your behalf if they've been assessed.

I spoke to one of the GF team on phone and via email and it was resolved very quickly in a friendly manner - they stated that they know it's not the ideal way to deal with customs charges and they're looking into options.

Really can't fault their service. The kit itself has a couple of concerns but I can resolve those as a fairly experienced builder. They're pretty much the same kits as Leo Jaymz, Pango and others, made in China but the essential core parts (body and neck) are well made with woods and construction that's way better than most of the stuff you'd find on eBay or Amazon, and decently prepped - the hardware and electronics are so-so, the machine heads are usable, the pickguard is pretty shoddily cut, but I'd already decided to ditch most of those parts so won't mark them down on that. The headstock is exactly the correct dimensions to shape yourself in a certain way, if you catch my drift...

The kit comes with a detailed 14 page guide on finishing and assembly. It's probably not completely suited to a beginner but it's certainly useful as an aide-memoire.

Overall, would definitely buy from Guitar Fabric again and would recommend them to others with a couple of minor caveats. Go in with your eyes open and you may be pleasantly surprised.

A very quick and efficient service at a good price.

Extremely quick delivery. Advice before purchase was again quick and informative. Cannot comment on the guitar itself as this a present. But all looked good in the pack.

Notwithstanding my several attempt i do not have, until now, any notice about my order... yesterday i had a chat with you, i hope this will change something. In addiction i can't login with my username, i tried so many times... i sincerely hope that you can solve this situation quickly.

Brush 4 centimeters thick, Wire brush and plastic card,
Pair of gloves for painting, Complete user guide from the Waterbase Paint Kit (1 Dye Highlight Grain) were not in the package!
The Guitar body top has no patterns as seen on demo photos.
The Fretboard has several scratches on.
I have not started to build, just curious what will be revealed..

Fast shipping and great customer service. Wood was good quality and as described

All is well ! I built a mini bass with the guitar neck and it sounds good. Thank you.

Shipping was very fast. I did learn that shipping to an APO is not possible, but that was easily solved by rerouting to an APO shipper. Even with that necessary delay, it arrived in under 2 weeks. That's impressive! More impressive is the quality of this kit. The ash wood body has a satisfying weight to it with excellent routing. It is a 3 piece body, so staining is out of the question, but my plan is to paint anyway, so its perfect for my ambitions. The neck is straight and true with only one fret with a high spot. It took no time at all to do a proper fret leveling. The neck pocket is tight as a drum. The hardware is wired well with quality solder joints, 500K mini pots, and sturdy switches. My only criticism is two noticeable gouges on the volume and tone knob plate. It's not a big deal for a guy like me with plenty of "character marked" guitars, but it might bother some other customer. The instructions are thorough and packaging was great. Every wooden component was double packed in bubble wrap. I appreciated the paper wrapping around the tremolo and bridge. Sanding, sealing and painting will be a pleasure. I'll update the review when I have finish the build, but right now I'm very happy with this purchase.

Delivery was very quick and everything seems to be great quality.

Perfect service and a perfect product. Pleasure doing business with you.
