My experience dealing with the customer…

My experience dealing with the customer service team has been good. Various people have helped to solve my problem. Harriet and Rica. After the incorrect weights were delivered as a Christmas present I have had to wait until the correct set were back in stock. This took time but eventually I received the correct order.

Missing items - terrible customer service

Avoid!

Ordered a set of 5 kettlebells on 19th June. Two arrived a few days later but with no information about when the expect the other items. Contacted customer service to confirm the missing items and receive a status update.

Having provided photographic evidence of the items I did receive (because they couldn't accept me simply telling them what had arrived), I've been told that 2 are out of stock and won't be back until 20th July (over a month after the original order) and that one is in stock and has been dispatched (although I have no evidence of this and nothing has arrived yet)

I've also been made to fill out a missing items form because despite it being very clear that Gymsets can't keep proper track of their stock, they are telling me that one of the missing items was dispatched.

Terrible service, forcing customers through unnecessary hoops - likely so they'll just give up.

Will never buy from them again

Unprofessional, go elsewhere

Ordered a dumbell set a month ago and still waiting for the order to be completed there is no way to contact via phone so its all done on messages. If I wasn't chasing these guys you'd never know whats happening I was told an item was resent with a new order 4 days ago and its still saying label generated.. I wouldn't recommend these guys very unprofessional

Not as good quality as I was expecting

Not as good quality as I was expecting, the headrest doesn’t sit right and looks off, there are marks on the leather and still glue around the wood which I have been unable to get off.

Pre-Ordered the adjustable dumbbells…

Pre-Ordered the adjustable dumbbells and home bench expecting them to arrive in a few weeks from the order date but they arrived quicker than expected. The adjustable dumbbells are superb and an improvement on the ones previously bought. Great price as well. Would definitely recommend the company and the items I bought.

Great pilates reformer machine!

Delivery of item was really quick and item itself is fantastic, very sturdy and does exactly what I need it to do. What could be better is the instructions that come with item for putting it together and use. However, Angelica at customer services has been just amazing. She has responded to all my queries with speed, knowledge and politeness. I cant thank her enough

Brilliant from start to finish.

Brilliant from start to finish.. answered a query very quickly (human not AI)

Purchased round adjustable 24kg dumbbells with 4kg increments and the product is exactly as the picture and description and in perfect working order and was delivered very quickly also.. would recommend and certainly will be using them for any other bits of equipment I need 😁

Really poor customer service

Really poor customer service. Ordered a bench in that took 3 months to come. It then didn't have the correct holes to make. Gym sets picked up the bench and are yet to deliver a new one 6 months later. They now want me to pay extra for an upgrade as they don't stock the bench I ordered anymore. I have called over 5 times and am still awaiting a manager
Avoid this company, it might look a good price, but it isn't worth it

Ordered a damaged piece of equipment…

Ordered a damaged piece of equipment and have been trying to resolve the issue for approx 6 weeks now. Customer service will reply stating they will fix the issue however no issue has been resolved even after being promised 4 times to fix the equipment.

Disorganised, poor communication and customer service

I made an order on 3rd of April 2026, I changed my mind the next day and notified by email that I would like to cancel the order. I was told that this was okay however a fee would be charged in line with the return policy and for restocking etc. I accepted this and thought that the matter was over.

On the 8th of April I received a delivery of some of the items, I contacted gym sets to ask why this had happened, they apologised and assured me that no other items would be delivered. Over the next 4 weeks I would receive all items from the cancelled order on various different days, every time I received an order I would reach out to gym sets, they would assure me nothing else would be despatched and to my frustration they would still despatch the items until I had received all of the order.

By the time I had received the whole order I was adamant I wanted to return it all as it should never have been dispatched to me in the first place. Gym sets customer service team repeatedly offered me discounts to keep the items rather than organise a return even though I wanted to return and had made that clear.

Eventually when they accepted I was returning all items they said they’d arrange a collection with dpd, they asked me to advise a date and time within a specific timeframe which I did and they did not reply and no collection was made. I chased this up and they agreed to the morning of the 28th of May. The collection was made and I was advised it could take up to 10 days for the refund to process.

39 days have now passed, I still have not seen my refund and any time I contact them I receive the same sort of message about it being raised with the relevant teams and working toward an update. No concrete update or timelines have been given.

It’s been just over 13 weeks since I cancelled the order within 12 hours of making it and I am currently still waiting to be refunded for items that should never have been dispatched.

Customer service have given multiple assurances that they have not kept.

Missed multiple deadlines and are now stringing me out for money that should’ve been returned to me weeks ago for products that they have received back from myself over a month ago.

I’m at a point now where I don’t know what else to do to try and make some progress.

I’d avoid gym sets in case you have any issues as this is what you’ll be up against trying to rectify them.

Update: Refund received on 13th July 2026

It's a shame that its such a waste of…

AIt's a shame that its such a waste of time ordering from this company as there warehouse cant count ordered 8 plates got 4 it then took phone calls emails and still got it wrong because the warehouse cant count i got 1 then 2 and eventually 1 turned up maileene in customer service is great and did a lot its the warehouse cant count to 4

Undelivered items, terrible customer service

Ordered several items in January, with the final item on pre-order for a March delivery. After chasing customer service, I was advised that it would arrive in early June. It is now July and the item is still outstanding.

Throughout this order, I have repeatedly had to contact customer service to chase delayed deliveries. To investigate the one item that has never been delivered, I was first required to complete a Missing Item Form, despite this not being required when I chased previous missing items from the same order. I have now also been asked to provide photographs of the items I have already received. I fail to see how this is relevant to an item that has never been delivered, and it feels like an unnecessary obstacle rather than a genuine attempt to resolve the issue.

Very disappointing experience. I simply want the outstanding item to be delivered or refunded.
