This was my first time at Ocean El Faro…

This was my first time at Ocean El Faro resort, and it was exactly what I was looking for to relax. The hotel is beautiful and nicely kept. The staff was always helpful and professional. Every night they had a show at the theater. There is the Despacio Spa Center, where I had the chance to go to the sauna, steam room and Hydrotherapy and loved it. I will be coming back.

Holidays in H10 Hotel Atlantic Sunset…

Holidays in H10 Hotel Atlantic Sunset - Playa Paradiso - What’s going on here?
.
We checked in yesterday as grand class members and privelege guests. The hotel itself is beautiful - wonderful location - quiet and away from the hustle and bustle. In the evening, the guests have to stay in the hotel but for privelege people, the bars/restaurants close at 9/10 p. m. The bar at the lobby is open but very loud because of the kids club on the floor below.
.
Guest service is poor, most staff are in a bad mood and our room was poorly cleaned with only beds thrown together. An evening uncovering and changing of the towels or 2nd cleaning does not take place either but it is part of the privelege service.
I mean, we payed (for this extras) a lot of money and want therefore a perfect and unforgettable stay.
We are used to the excellent service from the H10 Las Palmeras! Always fine, kind and happy staff and at every time you will see the cleaning people in action.
.
We cannot recommend the Atlantic Sunset; no accommodate from the guest manager. Instead of editing our review internally, we have been asked to make it public. So here it is…

Not even 2*/3*

Lucky enough to be able to afford relief from the cold of a British winter and have a break for a couple of weeks in the Canaries sunshine.
First decision self-catering or a bit more luxury in a 4* hotel. Luxury of course, now, breakfast only, half board or all inclusive. This only becomes relevant when you discover there’s a whole different level at our hotel, “Privilege” taking up the top three floors and access to all the specialty features advertised that aren’t included with the other options.
Getting in front of myself lets go back to the journey. Booking in at Jet2 easy, flight slightly delayed but a good flight arriving just a few minutes late. Quite quickly through arrival and on to the coach to Las Americas. We’re informed by the rep., waiting for people picking up their luggage?? ONE hour later people arrive to fill up the bus.
Arrive at 4*/5* H10 Conquistador hotel, I believe this hotel which was built in the 1970s should be 2*/3* and 4*/5* because the 2nd floor where we were placed is no better than a three star.
The first room was one of the smallest in the hotel a feature of the shape which creates corners and therefore smaller inner corner rooms with much smaller balcony and no privacy/security screens, these have been retro fitted on most other floors. We had asked for a twin bed room but were too tired to make a fuss when we discovered a very small double bed, however after trying to make the best of it for three nights we asked to be moved and were told it would be next day before that was possible, still it gave us time to pack for the move which we discovered was on the same floor but with a better balcony, still no privacy screens, and twin beds one of which was broken and moved around the room until I added a magazine under one of the legs. Had to call an engineer to set up the safe, which will cost you 36eur, and whilst he was there asked for the tv to be aligned as it looked toward the ceiling, needs a new bracket was the reply, never arrived. As for the curtains which had several hooks missing, the remedy was to use the end hook from the net curtain leaving the curtain hanging oddly and no good for its purpose. The room furniture is tired and chipped and I would describe the beds as the cheapest and most uncomfortable I’ve attempted to sleep on in years, add to this, loose tiles in the bathroom and you can understand why I’m so looking forward to going home tomorrow. Through all this our room cleaner, Decil has done a great job keeping beds and towels changed and I must say the staff have done the best they can in an aging building.

These people are stealers

These people are stealers. They just approach you next day when they arrive to the hotels and talk about the membership and stuff. They force people to make the decision on that same day, I was one of those people who were fooled by them. I purchased the premium, when I came back to my country and check the airfare when travelling through their hotel chain, it’s more than wherever I buy the packages. So I reach out to them to cancel my policy and return the deposit I made on the premium membership. They begged me to stay there with them. I explained to them my side, the airfare and stuff, I told them it wasn’t beneficial and not worth of. So I request them to return the money back of and deducting the legal fee but they refused. I feel like they legally steal the money from people. Please don’t go to their premium club or listen to what they are say.

Do not waste your money, worst holiday ever

We went to the ocean blue and sands Punta Cana, the service was terrible, 2 weeks over Xmas

Food- unless you want to que for 1hr plus to eat in any restaurant but the main buffet then it’s the main buffet.
Main buffet repetitive food and never more than warm
Unless you que to be at the door of other restaurants as they open and still a hour wait, although they claim there is no booking system there seemed to be some back handed tipping going on.

H10- the sales people wait for you every morning before and after breakfast to drag you in for a presentation to sell theory premium club. 3hrs later, it’s a total scam! Initially offered us the package for 5k deposit and $300 per month for 5 years we said not interested and the price went down to 2k and $100 per month. But fortunately we saw through the scam and left, there in after when seen by the sales team they was rude and totally blanked us.

Balcony door in room had previously been broken into forced open so no longer locked, reported this day 1 of 14, 2 weeks later still not even looked at. Key cards worked occasionally and was often locked out of our room, went back to reception every day to resolve but never was, luckily the broken balcony door was out only way to get into our own apartment.

Alcohol- unless you drink from 8am- 7pm constant you might get tipsy; the alcohol drinks are weak to say the least and not good. Take your own if you fancy a decent drink otherwise drink fruit juice.

Overall our 2 week holiday in Dominican Republic over Xmas was terrible. The service was the worst we have encountered and would rate this no more than 2 star and that’s being generous. Unless you tipped big and often you did not receive a great service, which is wrong when you’ve already paid 10k plus for apparently a 4 star location.

H10 London Waterloo hotel

London Waterloo hotel. Made a booking for two rooms for two nights 20-22 Feb. Expensive. Asked for twin bedded room as was travelling with my son. Unwilling to guarantee twin bedded room said it was ‘subject to availability’ which means can we might be able to make more money if we don’t agree to this request. Given the amount of money spending on room, this was very poor. Staff didn’t seem bothered. It was only when I told the hotel I intended to cancel they suddenly agreed to my request. Disingenuous. I cancelled anyway.

We came to rubicon Palace last year and…

We came to rubicon Palace last year and we really enjoyed it. The food was great. We did notice that some repairs were needed but we thought it was just due to covid. This time we are very dissatisfied. The room was dirty when we arrived. They promised to clean it whilst we went to dinner, they didn't. After 2 more complaints a slight clean was done. Still unsatisfactory. We have a curtain that hangs off the rail. We've had ants and cockroaches in the room. The food is honestly unedible most of time. The pool area is scruffy and loads of tiles missing from the pool. So many trip hazards round the complex due to missing or broken tiles. So many people have had serious accidents it's ridiculous. Everyone u speak to is dissatisfied and disappointed. The WiFi has been broken since we got here. We spoke to a lovely gentleman in public relations called Diego, he promised we would have a daily deep clean in our room and gave us 2 invites to the privilege restaurant. We went back to our room later on and the cleaners had been but had just made the beds. Her dirty dishcloth was still in the same place on the bathroom floor where she left it 2 days earlier. The shower still had our dirty footprints from our shower. The dirty cups were still there. There is no toilet brush in the room so they can't b cleaning the toilet. We will try complaining again to jet 2 but my experience with them suggests they will do nothing. We will never come to a H10 hotel again.
I am adding to this review as we have taken the time to bring our concerns to the public relations team again and we cannot fault how the team responded. In particular Diego and Dario. We were upgraded to privilege and have since been treated like royalty. If the hotel does receive some refurbishment then due to the attitudes of the 2 mentioned gentleman, we would love to return.

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The staff from the customer service/reception are toxic. They do not acknowledge any issue or complaint. I had items stolen from the hotel and the so called customer service completely disbelieved me and they were very argumentative and reluctant to contact the police. The drinks that are served at the bar are not genuine and some of the bar staff are very rude and one waiter actually pushed my bag across the bar and told me to move! The food is awful, and the indoor pool that closes at 6pm you have 3 lifeguards come in at 5.45 and tell everyone to get out and they put the alarm on at 5.50 to rush you out, avoid H10 hotels its a disgrace

At 11.50pm December 31st 2022,myself…

At 11.50pm December 31st 2022,myself and my 10 year old daughter were returning to the hotel for a view of the fireworks at midnight followed by my wife a bit behind. We went downstairs as I wanted to use the bathroom before we went outside and at the bottom of the stairs were met by a hotel staff member whom we said hello to but also kept walking when I heard “hey stop”,so we did and we were very rudely asked if we were guests which was bizarre considering we’d just walked through the open reception and past two members of staff on the desk. Anyway I replied that we were and asked as to why we were being spoken to in such a rude manner and again he persisted and asked me for proof which was technically ok which i provided but I asked why he was behaving towards me in his aggressive manner in front of a 10 my 10 year old daughter he said she had a wrist band on which was a keep sake from a recent cruise that we were on. I said that’s no excuse to be so rude and he just became more obnoxious,so I asked him for his name in order to make a complaint and he pointed to his badge to which I said I was taking a photo of and of him for my own protection, which I did. I informed him that I would be making an official complaint in the morning to which he replied F you in front of my daughter as he headed back up the stairs. He then said he was going to take a photo of my daughter and her wrist band which totally freaked me out and I made it quite clear that this was not going to happen and said I wanted a manager immediately to which he replied that “I don’t care F you” two more times,so I went to reception to be met with a similar attitude by his colleague who totally dismissed me and said he knew him for ten years and he wouldn’t say that and that the guys English was bad and of course the guy in question denied saying it. I’m shocked and dismayed at the whole incident and to make matters worse I went back up to reception and a manager was present and all staff members were discussing the matter and I was told that I was being aggressive to which I replied that how would you react in this situation especially when a burly grown man had taken out his phone and attempted to take photos of my 10 year old daughter and the other staff members totally dismissed my complaint. However this customer relations manager eventually agreed to provide me with his business card and I believe he started to understand why I was so upset due to me informing him about the guys attempt to take my daughter’s photo,so I thanked him for his assistance but assured him that I will be taking the matter further,my advice is to stay clear of this place and as a result I missed spending the countdown with my family which ruined New Year’s Eve for us.

Has anyone got their money back for the membership???? I am trying to get someone’s attention but very unsuccessful.

Scam

Scam! They do not honor the deals that they tell you in person. They made it sound like a great option for travel however once they get you signed it's downhill from there. The sales team is very convincing but nothing to help when booking travel. It's excuse after excuse to get you to pay more. None of the discounts were given and it's a tedious process to get travel booked. We regret going forward with this purchase at ocean paradise and have received the run around when trying to sell it. The staff and sales team is almost non existent now that they got our money. Look at all the reviews. It is a scam! Terrible service

We were told that when I paid for the 3… year 6vacations that you would honor it

We were told that when I pain for the 3 yr program that all we would have to pay for was for the inculsive at $90. Now they ae telling me that it will be $1000 dollars for my niece and family to stay there. What a rip off.. I paid over $ 3000 FOR A 3yr plan . This guy from Supposedly Texas blew so much lies at us that we were actually believing him that we were getting our vacations at choice . I have my wife as a witness, Is this what you want for the Mexican economy? You took my SS savings away from me and I talked with RCI and said I'm screwed.

H10 PREMIUM VACATION CLUB is a total waste of money.

H10 PREMIUM VACATION CLUB is a total scam. No tangible value for the money they charged. The sales pitch promises the moon but the fine print gets you nothing. Even the pitch of "free vacations" was a lie and misleading. The amount of money you spend for supposed better deals from "the club" are actually cheaper if you shop them yourself. Inflexible staff on the useless customer service line which is no service at all. No one to speak with of authority and say anything they don't want to hear about your complaints and they warn you saying something is stupid or doesnt make sense is offensive to them and they can't continue the call. Watch out and Don't get sucked in and saddle with a membership as worthless as a timeshare!!!!

H10 Timanfaya Palace Adults Only - Lanzarote

We've stayed with H10 a number of times throughout Mexico and the Caribbean and found them to have a solid value and extremely clean. This was our first time to Lanzarote. We purchased the privilege double room which was the best available when we booked.

There were some oddities with this property in comparison to other properties. We were charged for drinks after midnight and the mini bar is only filled on arrival. The alcoholic options were very good and the food was good. Our room was tired, but extremely clean and we did have a view of the ocean. We were not met by anyone at the entrance and there was no one at the privilege desk so we had a standard check-in. The privilege lounge is self-service which is very different to any privilege lounge elsewhere.

Where things went completely wrong was with dinner reservations and construction adjacent to our room. Kasbah was completely booked the entire time and we were only worked in when I complained. The attitude about this was poor and told me to expect slower service because they worked us into a full restaurant. Quote from email: "Regarding Kasbah, is true that the Hotel is fully booked and if we wish to provide you with the best service is not always possible to add reservations at the last minute, but you can reserve it from the first day. Today Kasbah is fully booked too, but if you wish, we can reserve you a table for 4 people for today at 7.20 pm and tomorrow at 7 pm but, please, you have to understand that the service will be slower than normal, since we exceed the limit."

We woke up the second or 3rd day to a rug rolled out thru our corridor to protect the floor and then construction on rooms in both directions from our room. We were never notified this would be happening. The next morning the construction began at 8:15am...not cool. I emailed the privilege host and was told that it was a last minute decision by management to do construction. We received a hand written apology along with a bottle of cava, but no real solution to the issue. The hotel was full so likely they had no place to put us...however we deserve a peaceful room and be able to take a nap in the middle of the day should we choose. This was completely unacceptable.

Upon return I reached out to the manager whom I found condescending and lacking the ability to put himself in my shoes. Upon looking back at reviews on Tripadvisor you can see that any negative comment is met with a rude response from the manager. He has since posted such a response to my review. The hotel staff for the most part was great so this was definitely an exception.

There is a Fans page on Facebook and one negative post gets you removed and it seems the manager also has a hand in this.

It seems this resort is like summer camp for return guests who like the reminiscent feeling of repeat visits and are taken care of by management. If you deviate from this I think your experience may be similar to mine.

I tried to contact H10 corporate and instead they forwarded my email to the same manager that caused us grief.

Building site with pneumatic drill noise for 2 week's holiday

We stayed in Timanfaya Palace Hotel, Player Blanca. The hotel was having major internal building works next door, above and below our room. Work woke us up at 8.10am each morning for 14 days. The deputy manager was dismissive and shed doubt on the veracity of what I was saying. The noise was pneumatic drills and anyone nearby should have had ear protectors. The communal hall areas and stairs were left filthy with builder's mess during our stay. When I reported this the deputy manager was derisive and said that only reception areas were regularly kept clean.
There was so much to like about the hotel. The waiters and entertainment were great. The sea view was stunning. What a shame the condition and noise in the hotel was so appalling.

H10 Tindaya

H10 Tindaya
this hotel is a total failure. I have never encountered so many unpleasant situations anywhere else.
at the beginning I am greeted by a large queue at the reception and one person from the service.. I had booked a hotel with a sea view (pict).. during check in, the gentleman at the reception informs me that I am lucky and receives a free room upgrade.
it turns out that I have a room with a view of the wilderness (apparently with a view of the sunset), I go back to the reception and wait in a huge queue again. Finally, the second person from the service appears, but with terrible dissatisfaction that he has to approach at all (front office manager) I am asking for an explanation of the situation with the room and the room I paid for. In response, I get that I have a better room and I will not receive another. In a hamish way, the lady convinces me that this is how the rooms look like and that I booked one, she tries to show me on the monitor which one but she can't find it, then states that they have no other, and all over the world sea view means side sea view (pict1). I travel a lot, it was my 7th trip this year but I have never encountered such absurdity. at the end, he states that they have a room I booked, but I have to pay 35 euros per night ... I paid extra ... perhaps for additional tenants because the room was full of ants. They ran everywhere (movie).
Nice view from the pools, good location of the hotel and branded alcohols in the all inc option so I thought maybe it wouldn't be so bad. nothing more wrong.. cockroaches are often seen in the restaurant (pic2)
when going on holiday, everyone wants to relax and not meet unpleasant situations at every step, sleep with ants and eat with cockroaches!!!!
avoid this hotel!!

H10 Rubicon Palace

We had a lovely stay at the h10 Rubicon palace, the hotel itself was lovely but it was obvious that they were struggling with staffing because the staff that were working seemed to be doing 24 shifts. Not the hotels fault but it meant at times the service didn't match what would be expected.

Excellent staff but felt crowded

I stayed at the H10 White Suites hotel in Playa Blanca, Lanzarote, for one week, with my wife. We have previously stayed at another, larger hotel, in the area and fancied a smaller, 'boutique' hotel for a change, and in the belief that it would be quiet and offer a good chance to relax for a week. The hotel has a nice lobby, with a small bar to the side. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the beds are comfortable (although 'double' means 2 singles pushed together, and even made up with separate sheets). The staff throughout the hotel are friendly, polite and helpful, and they work extremely hard. The hotel advertises 2 swimming pools, but in reality, it is 1 with a dividing walkway, and neither part is very big. The general feel of the hotel was that it was crowded. That was supported by the fact that sunbeds were often difficult, or even impossible to find. Beds were reserved early in the mornings by depositing towels on them, despite the fact that we were told on arrival that it wasn't allowed. Another sign of overcrowding was at the dining room. At breakfast and during the evening mealtimes, there was often a long queue outside the dining room, as there were obviously not enough tables. There was entertainment provided throughout each day, at various times, and in different locations. The standard is generally good to very good. The evening entertainment, from 9pm to midnight, is outside, at or near the pool bar. The problem here is that you have no choice but to listen to it, even if you don't particularly want to, as it is invariably very loud, and can be heard all around the complex, including inside the rooms. The odd earlyish night is out of the question. Despite the best efforts of the staff, we were disappointed with White Suites, and will be looking elsewhere for our next holiday.
