Ok service,
Bought a robot vacuum as I have a couple of vouchers to use, prices are ok but not the best in the market. Bought for click and collect advertised as 1-3 days “delivery” but took over a week to be ready for collection. When collecting selected the option to get the item outside at my car, when arrived I notified through the website option “I’m here” but nobody came out and after 30 min went inside to ask only to be told that they don’t get those notifications and that needed to collect at the counter, not the best experience.

Easy enough to ring but stop the insurance sale pushing
While it was easy enough to ring and have the Acer 14 inch laptop put to one side, when the invoice arrived it included product protection insurance of about €240. That insurance was not requested by me nor was it part of the discussion with the HN staff member. I actually asked about a AC power plug for €49. It would have made sense had it been included. So because there was a push sale of insurance I chose to not buy the adapter at HN and buy one elsewhere. When I was in the store I overheard a salesperson doing his best, including reducing the premium, to sell insurance too. That sort of stuff means for me 3 stars overall.
UPDATE: Wish to say thank to Kevin of HN for his reply below. The laptop is awaiting my son to unpack it and set up for university. Will provide feedback on item itself once it is unboxed.

Terrible online and customer service
Terrible online and customer service.
Ordered a Bosch Hob online. Received email to say available for collection. Took an hour off work to collect the hob... not there. They then said to collect in their warehouse... guess what...not there either!
Tried calling them to complain... guess what...did not answer the phone.
Tried reaching out online via live chat.... guess what ... no one available to chat.
Do yourself a favour and do not use their online ordering service... they are all over the place!
Update 30/9/2026: I eventually got someone via the livechat who were very helpful and processed my refund request. However, he subsequently went on to say that I will get an email within a couple of hours from the finance team confirming the refund .... 24 hours later.... no email or confirmation of refund received. I have emailed Harvey Norman as outlined in Kate's response to this comment. It will be interesting to see how long it takes for someone to read it and do something about it. This is possibly the worst online shopping experience!

The furniture department at Fonthill and Blanchardstown
This review is specifically for the furniture department in both the Fonthill and Blanchardstown branches. I have bought a MacBook and iPad from other branches and had good experiences. However the customer service departments are these 2 stores is really nothing to write home about, especially after you have spent thousands on furniture. I would say if you are looking for more honest reviews, go and look at their Google reviews.
