Stuart Chapman Delivered my order with care and in the time frame given.

I had a positive experience of ordering the salts from Harvey’s. The salts were delivered as promised on time without any problems. Stuart Chapman completed the delivery without any hassles and communicated with me the exact time of delivery so it was easy for me to manage and plan my day accordingly.

I received a call back from Flora as I wanted to join the Arc Care plan.
The different options were explained very clearly and when I got back home I was easily able to set up a direct debit. Thanks

A fantastic service from ordering to installation. Leigh efficiently, politely & patiently removed the old water softener, assessed the water supply & fitted the new softener, which included extra plumbing work. Leigh patiently advised me on the use of the app, upkeep and top-up.
Thank you Harvey, happy to recommend you anytime.

My query was responded promptly by a very competent person who was able to direct me to the information I needed. Annum was able to email me the instructions and agreed a plan if the issue was not resolved. Very helpful and reassuring.

Stuart is always friendly on his delivery’s and takes extra time putting the salt blocks away underneath in our stair cupboard downstairs. Highly recommended. Tel

Let's start with the positive: the water softener does exactly what it is supposed to do. It softens the water, and there is no question about that.
Unfortunately, everything else has left me increasingly disappointed.
We live in Haverhill, one of the hardest water areas in the UK, and my partner works for the NHS. During the sales presentation we were told that, because of our location and the NHS discount, we were receiving a significant discount. Later we discovered that friends living across Cambridge and Peterborough had paid exactly the same price. The "free" drinking water tap was also presented as a special offer, yet it appears to be included for everyone. It felt more like a sales tactic than a genuine benefit.
During the demonstration we were also told that the drinking water would be better for us and could help reduce the likelihood of kidney stones. Imagine our surprise when we later found out that the separate drinking water tap provides unsoftened water. That left us feeling misled.
We were also promised extra salt through the friend referral scheme, but that never materialised.
Looking back, the entire sales pitch created the impression that we were receiving a very special deal. In reality, once we started talking to other Harvey customers, we found that people with no NHS discount, no "Haverhill offer" and no friend referral had paid essentially the same price.
Then there is Harvey's proprietary system. The softener only accepts Harvey salt blocks, meaning you are locked into buying their consumables. Once you've bought the system, you have very little choice.
The quality of some of the supplied components has also been disappointing. Our drinking water tap started coming apart after only four months, and after just six months it is already heavily covered in limescale. That doesn't inspire much confidence in its long-term durability.
At this point I was already questioning whether I had made the right decision. Looking back, I genuinely regret not cancelling within the cooling-off period and trying a different manufacturer.
The final straw came when we had a leak under the kitchen sink. Our builder needed to replace the pipework, which meant the Harvey unit had to be disconnected and then reconnected afterwards.
The quote?
£190 simply to disconnect it. Another £300 to reconnect it.
Nearly £500 just because plumbing work had to be carried out around your own product.
That is where my opinion changed completely.
The water softener itself works well, but Harvey's pricing and after-sales model feels incredibly customer-unfriendly. Between the proprietary consumables, expensive servicing and excessive call-out charges, it feels like once you've become a customer, you're locked into paying whatever is asked.
Sadly, I can no longer recommend Harvey. The product works, but the overall ownership experience has been frustrating, unnecessarily expensive, and far from customer-friendly.

Excellent delivery service by Stuart Chapman!
I didn’t want to order a large number of salt packs because DPD would just smash everything!
Today I have changed my mind because Stuart carried all the packs round the back into my shed and even helped me to stack them neatly.

Stewart Chapman was great on time for the delivery and very helpful. Harvey Waters’ operating model works well. No hassles.

We had a problem with our water softer system (it was cloudy and used about a salt block a week - it should be 1 per month - it ran 3 cycles a day - it should do 1 apparently). We had one engineer out who just kept saying we had a leak (we didn’t - water bills are fine) then tried to blame appliances in our kitchen (we have a very standard kitchen).
He didn’t do anything, left and said for us to check with water company if we had a leak and would return if we didn’t for free. Completely wasted visit.
The next engineer came out and was similar, he replaced a small part in the hope it worked - he wasn’t confident that he fixed it. He phone head office and explained who said they wouldn’t charge us as he wasn’t sure what was going on. We since received two invoices for both visits.
The first one has since been dropped but the second we expected to pay £200 for a system that doesn’t work after being told there would be no charge. If we’d known we would have put this towards a new one as we’ve just wasted that money on two engineer visits neither of who could fix the system

Eddie Ireland was a brilliant first point of contact. He provided clear and informative advice. My water Softener was then installed just 2 days later by Leigh Gilbert. Again, he provided outstanding service. He was quick, efficient and extremely professional.

As always, salt delivery arrived extremely promptly, having ordered it on a Sunday, it arrived the next day (Monday). Stuart Chapman was great as ever - very friendly and took it straight into the shed as always. Would thouroughly recommend

Delivery driver never rings the doorbell and just leaves the salt blocks right on my doorstep for everyone to see, doesn’t even attempt to hide them.

The salesperson came to my home after I decided to give the company another chance following a previous bad experience. I believe in giving people a second chance, but unfortunately I was disappointed again.
The salesperson went through his presentation, which was perfectly fine. I explained that I needed to discuss everything with my husband before making any decision.
Two days later, he called to ask if I had spoken to my husband and when I wanted the installation booked. I explained that the quote was simply far too expensive for our budget. He then asked, “Well, how much do you expect to pay?” which immediately put my back up. I repeated that we were not interested because it was above our budget.
There was no “thank you for your time” or even a polite goodbye. Instead, he simply hung up the phone. I found this extremely unprofessional and disappointing, especially after giving the company a second chance.
