Nurses could have been more friendly…
I went for blood tests at St.Olaf’s house London Bridge Hospital via HCA Healthcare. Nurses could have been more friendly and graceful, not trying to look intimidating. They can learn from some NHS staff. They don’t even know how to politely greet. Instead, they asked me “You ok there?” In a very monotonous and blank face attitude.
For over 12 years I've had treatment…
For over 12 years I've had treatment and monitoring of Prostate cancer carried out at London Bridge Hospital involving various biopsies and annual MRI scans at the Shard. On all occasions I've been treated well and have confidence in the clinical outcomes so far.
I was listened to
After many years of trying to make sense of my symptoms, I feel there's a path forward. I didn't feel like I had to justify myself, and that the doctor was seeking to establish congruency.
Thank you, Dr. Gall for your time and expertise.
Excellent care from start to finish

Absolutely shocking in every respect
Absolutely shocking in every respect, from the telephone customer service, to registering online and trying to use the portal. Issue after issue. AVOID at all costs. My patient is a very elderly gentlemen i needed some continuity from ground help to loading up the insurance authorisation. Totally useless. I work with may private hospitals this company is the worse.
An excellent hospital
The Harborne Hospital is conveniently situated with good parking and links to public transport. The reception is well appointed and the desk team professional and friendly. My consultant was excellent and provided great care. I highly recommended the team here.

5* Treatment
I have just had total shoulder replacement at the HCA Harborne. I was absolutely petrified about having the operation. From the moment I was shown to my room, I cannot fault any aspect of my stay. My consultant was wonderful, the anaesthetist was fabulous, calmed me down and quickly put me to sleep. Theatre staff all very kind. I was in ITU afterwards again one to one care and extremely kind. Back in my room which was very well appointed, the staff could not have been more pleasant. They took extra cared with my Addisons and pain relief. I was in for 3 nights. The food was very well presented, the menu extensive, I just wish I had felt like eating.
always late appointments
always late appointments, never informed, no explanation, very poor reception staff - assume trained in a GP surgery!
And why in this day and age am I asked to manually fill in forms with data you already have for seperate departments!
Outstanding staff
Appalling
Appalling. They keep sending bills, and when one tries to talk to them about a double billing you cannot get through. Wait 25 minutes on the phone and then give up. Request a statement and they do not respond. They call to harrass you about an unpaid bill even before the bill is sent, so you do not even know about the bill. Useless admin. If you can avoid them do.
Dr Foale and his PA team and technical…
Dr Foale and his PA team and technical team are first class world best. We travel from abroad to see him. His experience and empathetic personality are second to none. He takes a personal and holistic view of his clients and ensures they are comfortable and not anxious. He is very reassuring. We trust him completely - has been our cardiologist for 20 yrs. Also incredibly valuable - is he has very good contacts if referral's are needed for non cardiac issues. We are delighted by how well he looks after us as patients. A genuine highly respected doctor and person.
All food served is Halal
All food served is Halal. I am a Christian and I do not want to eat meat that is slaughtered inhumanly and that has been blessed by a different religion to a God I do not believe in.

Dr Zainab Laftah was extremely professional and highly knowledgeable in her field. I had been struggling with my issue for a long time, and thanks to her expert advice and care, I feel like a new person. I’m very grateful for her help.
Self-pay patient at Princess Grace
Self-pay patient at Princess Grace, early 2026. Paid a four-figure deposit upfront covering all hospital fees, consultant, anaesthetist, and prosthesis per the signed admission agreement. Surgery went well, received a small refund for the unused portion of the prosthesis deposit. Then received a "Final Invoice" marked "Amount Due" for thousands of pounds, with payment terms, interest clauses, and auto-debit warnings.
After a formal written complaint, HCA confirmed nothing was owed and the invoice was "for my records only." If I'd paid it, I would now be stuck in an awkward, drawn-out refund process no doubt.
What I did instead:
Didn't pay. Sent a formal complaint email to their customer service team citing my prepayment, refund, and the duplicate line items.
Froze debit card I used to pay them. The admission agreement can give them auto-debit rights.
Emailed my consultant's secretary in parallel. Resolved mine in 28 hours.
Keep every document: admission agreement, bank statement showing the payment, refund confirmation, the invoice itself.
The clinical care was excellent. The billing system is designed to extract money from patients who don't know it's a duplicate. Document everything.
Recommend without hesitation
This was an incredibly stressful day, made so much easier and more comfortable by the excellent team, who went to every effort to make me feel comfortable and supported. I would recommend the Wilmslow hospital without hesitation.
