Hello Oriental is run by the established Chi Yip Group Ltd. Chi Yip Group Ltd was established in 1980 in Manchester at the forefront of the Meat Wholesale market. Founded by the late Mr Stewart Yip, (President of the Federation of Chinese Association Manchester) Chi Yip Group innovatively introduced huge labour saving products to the catering industry and set up production lines to cater the continually changing market. In 1992, the group expanded and moved to new premises taking on one of the largest cold stores in the North of England, introducing Dry Goods from the Far East, live Seafood and establishing own brand products. This is backed up by our own fleet of refrigerated Lorries with a nationwide delivery network. Based in Middleton just outside of Central Manchester, Chi Yip Group has been very passionate in delivering quality, variety and reliability to customers all over the North West of England. The Supermarket caters for North West England that includes our own butchers, bakery that produces oriental breads and cakes, and fishmongers with daily deliveries. Hello Oriental, launched in October 2019, aims to bring the store experience to everyone who can’t visit the store itself with the option of next day timed delivery. With our passion to bringing the latest stock from the Far East, high quality produce and the best ingredients from the Orient, we can assure you that our online experience will be very straight forward and enjoyable.

Excellent service overall
I usually take a drive out to the shop but was feeling lazy so tried online order. Disappointing number of items not in stock but I expect they are having supplychain issues like a lot of businesses.
I placed order at 09:00 and paid for two day delivery but was staggered to get phone call about attempted delivery that afternoon! Got extremely polite phone call next morning checking delivery time would be ok with me.
Got refunded for out of stock items next day.
My only gripe would be that the website is not up to date regarding stock levels.

too many times Hello Oriental let you…
too many times Hello Oriental let you order goods that they don't have in stock or can allocate for your delivery. The last order was mainly for Pineapple buns for my wife (extras added like duck, soya sauce, noodles- as the £11 delivery charge is very expensive for just ordering bakery products!). Zero pineapple buns delivered, only a refund, disappointing. They do have an option for "similar replacements" if not available, like the supermarkets, but the last time we did that we got 12 bakery products that were not liked, so a complete waste of food & money.
I suggest they only show what is available at the time of order and reserve it.
We have now found a Chinese supermarket & bakery within driving distance (Reading), so will no longer be using hello oriental.
