Plumbers did a great job, very quick and tidy. Waited a week for the electrician but that was due to unforeseen circumstances on both our behalf. When he came he bought a heating engineer with him unexpectedly, and a couple of our rads needed bleeding so he did that no problem.

Work done was to a good standard and workmen very competent. Initial visit was within an hour of call. However administration was not so good I am receiving chemotherapy so feel the cold and needed the boiler replaced asap. We were given a provisional date but this was slipped as although a gas fitter was available, no electrician was. The sceduled day the fitter arrived and fitted the boiler but told me that electrician was not available that day either, but he would make the boiler operational using existing electrics. Electrician came next week and completed the work. My complaint is, if the fitter could use existing electrics, why was our work slipped on what was the coldest day of the year so far. In addition they got our address incomplete on the contract which then needed amending and had to contact us for the boiler serial number as the one on their records was incorrect.

The engineer who fitted our new boiler was very polite and efficient.

Our old boiler broke down and couldn’t be repaired. I was offered a replacement boiler free of charge and we paid the installation.
The estimate process for the installation was completed on line and by phone on the same day.
I accepted the estimate which was fixed price and our new boiler was installed and working in 48 hours.
Some electrical work which did not prevent the boiler working was completed within a week and the rubbish and old boiler removed on the next working day following installation.
All in all a very efficient and quick service.

Good experience overall and Michael the installer was very good. However the same cannot be said for the electrician who left before the boiler was working. A combination of Michael and Google resolved the "electrical problem" after the electrician bailed out. The boiler now works well and I'm very pleased.

Salesman was friendly and knowledgeable, quote was a reasonable price.
The boiler installation went smoothly and so far everything is working as expected.
Would recommend

Mark the salesman was prompt and very friendly. He certainly knew his stuff and appreciated our situation. The boiler was ordered Wednesday and installed on Friday.

Very disappointed with the service received.
They are very good at promising, unfortunately not so good at delivering. Would recommend to stay away.
Over promised on installation date to secure the sale
Installation started late - promised 2 engineers to complete on time, but 2nd engineer never showed up
Bad/No communication of what was agreed to the people installing the boiler
Damage to personal property (Hive thermostat) - still waiting to get this resolved after first raising this in October
Loft left untidy
Customer service not helping much when trying to get the complaint resolved - they either don't get in touch or if they do it takes weeks before you hear from them, just to not have a solution and be told they will call back again.

Pleased with boiler fitted efficiently....one disappointment.....i was told all rubbish would be removed and wouldn't know anyone had been....the workers asked me to dispose of cardboard box....I didn't realise it full of rubbish....not happy...mislead

Initial survey was undertaken by their representative who explained both that he was a qualified surveyor and had years of experience. Work undertaken and the work was incomplete, leaving tanks in the loft. Boiler fitted not in accordance with survey.
When raised with tradesman when asked to sign paperwork was told take up with area excellence manager. Sign the paperwork for both the gas certificate and warranty. Paperwork was signed and when area manager arrived raised the dissatisfaction of,position of boiler, header tanks left in loft and that new boiler leaking!
Was told need to contact manufacturer to repair leak. That they would raise complaints and come back with an answer. Over 30 days pasted and (following telephone calls, not returned) was contacted by accounts saying balance due. When said complaint raised same day was informed that area manager was on jury service!
After taking the company to ombudsmen they state that as you signed paperwork then company has for filled it's obligatory requirement.
Even though was advised by "Which" and "Trust a Trader" to pay the invoice and take the matter forward through complaints, it seems that this is not the case.
Installation was inspected by a recommended installer from the manufacturer's web site.
The report was scathing and would have been carried out at a cheaper price!
AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!
SHABBY WORKMANSHIP, VERY POOR QUALITY OF CUSTOMER SERVICE!

My replacement boiler was fitted as part of a Homeserve contract. As mentioned in other reviews its not the best deal for a replacement boiler.
The fitter Tom did an excellent job as did Steve the Electrician. Both very professional and clean workers. We had an Ideal 'equivalent boiler' which has reduced warranty, and I'm confused about how my service contract now works as my original Homeserve contract was cancelled once our boiler was declared 'BER'. Guess this will take another lengthy call to Homeserve to resolve.
BTW - The Boiler was replaced on 24th Jan, the Old one is still sat at the side of our house waiting collection !!

Having been given a free boiler, as ours was beyond economic repair, the stipulation was that the installation company had to be Help-link. Lengthy video call/ other calls to set up (fitting is around twice he price of some other installers, so finance package had to be selected, which required further calls), and price was non-negotiable. The two companies are linked, so it seems the free boiler bonus is at lest partly off-set by an increased fitting price. Total cost, with radiator flush, was over £1800, but, as I say, it's take-it-or-leave-it if you want a free boiler.
The fitting was painless, and done in a day, so no complaints with the installation. The remote thermostat works well, when it was understood (DanFoss RF-one), after phoning the technical helpline. The instruction booklet lets you know how to operate the thermostat, but doesn't troubleshoot the connection between thermostat and boiler - once you work this out, it works well. Overall, the installation is good, but expensive. Waiting to find the the savings from the old boiler.

The Ideal Logic Combi 30 boiler supplied "free of charge" was to replace a 10 year Remeha boiler that had been deemed as not economically repairable by Home Serve
The new boiler may have been free but an installation charge in excess of £1300 in a tad excessive. Whilst the installation was carried out very well the fitter was in a rush to get away and did not explain how to use the RF thermostat control unit very well and the instructions supplied are next to useless.I also have issue re some of the wiring being routed behind the heating fluid pipe and am still awaiting an electrician to sign off the boiler.I am also waiting for confirmation as to who registers the boiler with Ideal, if it is me then I will struggle as I do not have a serial number for the RF thermostat, there is no number on the unit. Someone from Help Link phoned me on Monday requesting payment on the balance outstanding to which I confirmed I am happy to arrange payment when I get a satisfactory response to my query. The individual I spoke with promised to pass the details on to the Installation Team who would get back to me with some urgency. Today is Wednesday and I am still waiting.

Our boiler needed replacement. As it was over 7 years old I had to pay the rather hefty installation charge. The main problem we had was due to the fact that I am a landlord and Help-Link needed to liaise with the tenants over installation dates and times. If I gave them the tenants' numbers once I gave them 30 times! I had calls from about 5 different departments - each time a different person. Every individual was very nice but none seemed to have spoken to any other and they NEVER knew that they needed to phone the tenants or what their phone number was. Very frustrating.

Help. Link has been fabulous to me. After Homeserve declared my boiler uneconomical which was expected as the Heat exchanger had split and the boiler was nearly nine years old. If the boiler is over seven Home serve will pay for boiler whilst I pay for installation. Help-link arranged a chap named Mark to survey my home and give a price You can except this if you are happy or reject it. In my case, I was very happy to accept. The price was great. An appointment is made straight away for installation which was just a couple of days. An engineer named Mark arrived as expected to fit a new boiler plus wireless thermostat and boiler filter. He did an excellent job. I was over the moon. I love my new boiler. Credit where its due well done to all of the Homeserve and Help-link team.Fabulous Service all around.

I have no criticism of the engineers and staff but I would severely criticised the culture within which they have to operate. It was clear that the boiler was beyond repair from the beginning but I was blocked at every opportunity to progress the matter I was never allowed to speak to a supervisor or the actual engineer section. In the end they agreed to replace the boiler but I suspect because of cost they installed a boiler that had insufficient capacity to cover 21 radiators and three bathrooms. Existing boiler was 43.7 5KW but they tried to install a boiler of only 30 KW. Every advice source said the minimum should be at least 43 KW . I am now having to wait yet again for them to authorise a replacement. At the time of the installation there was a recommendation to replace the pump to the water heater and also the programmer for the central heating. The engineer said that the pump which was already there was far better quality than that provided by Home Serve and did not recommend the switch. The electrician made a similar comment regarding the programmer as again it was a lower quality. The company seems to have a culture of avoiding the claim and if there is a payment go for the cheapest possible route. They boast like for like replacement but try to avoid fulfilling the promise. The quality of insurance can only be seen in the way that claims are handled this service has been abysmal. I would stress it is not the fault of the staff and the engineers that it is the culture within which they have to operate
