Great place to get cleaners in London…

Great place to get cleaners in London and I like the reviews as it helps you choose the best person for you. The only downside if you need to book at least 48 hours in advance (even if there may be available cleaners for your date / time), and sometimes cleaners cancel last minute with no notice, and the platform is not helpful in that situation. Overall though, I love using helpling!

Disappointed, time wasted

After one clean, the next booking was cancelled by the cleaner, the following week he has not just cancelled the booking (which I then have to pay for because he can't cancel it in the helpling system) but says he is no longer in London. The process of cancellation and contacting Helpling is poor. Disappointed.

By being a platform, we unfortunately can't stop cleaners to cancel appointments or bookings. What is for sure easily solvable is the fact that you've been wrongly charged, if the provider decided to cancel: this is not correct and you can contact us with your complete data to get your money refunded.
We can also help you find a replacement, if you'd like to give it another try!

I have sent you my passport which is an extremely important document and im concerned that I have no means to get through to anyone, noone is getting back to me and its freaking me out. We also would like to highlight that there is no "helpling.com" but instead different websites based on the place where you registered (with country-coded domains like: helpling.co.uk, helpling.ie, etc.).

Avoid. Terrible service. No quality control. Cleaner did an abysmal job

Where do I start:

1. Mandeep did an abysmal job and had zero attention detail (this is after I demonstrated how to properly clean for the second time)

2. She then wanted to leave 2 hours before the shift was over because of "the weather", after having done a substandard job. I explained that this booking was for 4 hours

3. She then complained about the pay she was getting for this shift (which she searched for and booked herself on for it over a week ago). I explained that the simplest solution in this case would be to not book herself onto the shift to begin with

4. She then continued to do a terrible job and I had enough and told her to leave so I could do the rest myself :)

Complete waste of money and time. No quality control whatsoever. Will not be using this app again.

Also, it appears there's no way to pay only for the hours worked when the cleaner decides they need to leave halfway through the job. Avoid at all cost.

As well, I wrote the chat support before joining Helpling and they gave me a quick and prompt answer. Also, my cleaner is amazing!

Customer service defo needs improving

Yes these platforms are only connection points between cleaners and customers like us but they've really got to stop with typical pass the bucket answers saying how they normally provide good service and this is a one off case.

I've booked a cleaner who didn't turn up at all. I called after waiting half an hour only to find out she had no idea it was booked and promised she'll come two days later. Only to be contacted 25mins before the arrival time on the next call, saying she won't be coming and stopped answering.

I went to file a complaint to the customer service and all they do is to give you a typical we don't normally do this but it's a one off thing.

Wasted my time off from work for this horrendous experience to which all customer service offer was to try and rebook another time.

Such a behavior from a provider is indeed not an usual thing: there are dozens of appointments going on every day through the platform and this is definitely happening very seldom.
When this is the case though, the most important thing is to inform the team as soon as possible, so that we can immediately activate a review process with the cleaner and support the customer in finding another service provider.

This company are cowboys

This company are cowboys, avoid at all costs. I put through a request just to see what cleaners there were, to see their reviews and see prices and they automatically processed a booking that I never agreed to with a cleaner I hadn't even seen details of. They sent the poor cleaner to a wrong address for a booking I had never approved and have then charged me over £100 for a booking I never agreed to in a cost of living crisis just before Christmas, tried to sort with customer service but they were incredibly rude and did not want to help or listen to my situation.

we're sorry to read this feedback but it seems really unfair: putting through a request is exactly creating a booking. Not only the process ends with the request to confirm the payment method but, after sending the request, the customer receives emails and texts with all the info on the following steps, so it looks really weird that you had no idea of what was happening.

We didn't send the cleaner to a wrong address: the cleaner is a self-employed provider and went to the address that you selected during the booking process.

We didn't charge you without reason but exactly because - during a cost of living crisis - the provider was entitled to require a compensation for having traveled to a wrong address for no reason at all and for having kept their time occupied with the appointment you created.

Nothing on the Helpling platform happens without the customer being in charge or timely informed about the next steps.

We hope this clarifies what happened.
