I would give zero stars if I could.
“Waterproof & windproof” coat arrived, clearly not either of these elements present. Instead of refund they offered 10% “cashback” and informed me shipping to return item would cost me £20-30 - the coat was £53 which is CRAZY in the first place but is the £20-30 worth the hassle…? Should have checked poor review history prior to purchasing from this ridiculous company.

Definately a scam. Do NOT buy anything from Herwick. It is all rubbish bought from Shien or Temu and sold on to you at a huge profit. Nothing is as advertised and you can't get your money back. Polite replies but they just ignore everything you say and keep on repeating the same statement, discount off next item or 10% cash back. Then you don't even get the cash back.

Absolutely appalling experience. This company pretends to be UK-based with a UK website - but in reality, they are shipping items from Asia without disclosing this anywhere before purchase.
When I tried to return the item, I was suddenly told I’d have to pay £70 in return shipping and customs fees. None of this was mentioned at checkout or in the product listing. Only after I contacted them via email did they reveal these outrageous charges.
This is misleading, deceptive, and feels like a scam. Their return policy is vague and buried, and they try to fob you off with partial refunds (20% off the purchase) or store credit instead of honoring your right to a full return.
The coat that I purchased cost ~70GBP but now they asked me to pay 70EUR for the return and customs fees! Ridiculous and had I known this in advance I would never purchase any item from this scamming company.
I will be reporting this to the regulatory authorities, and I encourage others to do the same.
Avoid this company at all costs. They are scamming UK customers by hiding key information and making returns nearly impossible.

After my e-mail of 9th July I did as was asked (see below) and contacted customer support. It is now 6th October and I still do not have my refund. Do not ever buy from this company.

I ordered a white womens shirt which looked great on their website images, but the item received looked somewhat different in look, fabric feel and quality. When I tried to return it, they refused to cover return costs despite their policy saying they do for misrepresented items.
Looks like they are based in Asia (not UK despite the .co.uk address) and suddenly mentioned £50-70 in return shipping and customs fees that aren't disclosed anywhere in their policy. They pressured me to accept a partial refund or gift card instead. Currently in dispute with them and will be raising a claim with my credit card.

AWFUL!! the dresses ordered looking NOTHING like the image on website. Fabric was cheap cotton knit and poorly finished. Sleeves did not have the right shape and fall and the wraparound skit was a split up to my waist! I wish I read the reviews before ordering . Total scam! Forget returns as it will cost more than you paid for it to do so and you will not get your money back! How are they allowed to trade in the UK !!!!????

I ordered a 100% cashmere poloneck in cream that has no labels or anything on it so I cannot confirm it is not cashmere but it feels like anything but. Also, dropshipped from China. Honestly, there should be much better governance of .co.uk websites to ensure that this is not the case. Also raging with myself that I didn't check this website before purchasing...that's on me unfortunately. Avoid avoid avoid...scammers.

When asking for a return as per their own returns policy stating if the items are incorrect theyre responsible for return fees, they refuse to honour it and are trying to charge me £70 to return the item. Avoid at all costs

The company is a scam, their sizes come up small and when you ask for a refund they intimidate you and say that is will cost a lot to send back due to posting and customs costs.

They offer you 10% refund of the item cost and you can keep the item like they are doing you a favour. In my case I paid £40 and I’ll get £4 back and I get to keep the item, yeah great I’ll keep an item that doesn’t fit me.

If you are thinking of ordering from this company please read the reviews, I wish I would have. You need to avoid this company and shop elsewhere

Wish wish wish I'd read reviews. Bought a couple of items which I then returned back in June. It's October and I'm still waiting for nearly £100 refund. Very prompt and adequate responses to my emails but absolutely no sign of the money despite them saying the refund has been processed. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

DO NOT use this company. Falsely advertising merchandise that is as bad as they come. Ordered a merino jumper and after two weeks of waiting a shoddily made polyester/cotton jumper, so thin you can see through it, arrived. Expects me to return to China but as it breaches UK trading standards I refused. They refuse to refund me and they send a AI scripted response through. Tried to phone their office no reply. Visited their facility in Aston and still waiting to challenge them on their products. Ive reported them to trading standards and consumer ombudsman. Do not believe their response either as they follow up on Trust pilot but not on their promises. As crooked and illegal as they come!

Absolutely scam company.
I emailed them to cancel the order almost immediately (within their quoted 4 hour time window on their website) and despite me sending this over via 2 methods they still dispatched the item. I contacted them to make them aware of the error, they said don't worry wait until it arrives... It did and now they say they will only refund me if I send them back to CHINA TRACkED at the cost of £30-40 plus customs charges of a similar amount. They claim they are open about this but all their email and web addresses are co.uk so absolutely NOT transparent. Revolting company. I took a quick look at the product and it is appalling quality and absolutely tiny. Not UK sizing. They tried to negotiate up to 40% refund but when I gave them the cancellation notice they required it is their error that they dispatched it. Raising fraud case with my bank.
Update: my bank paid me back and took these thieves for the money - keep all your correspondence with them, photo the poor quality products and compare with photos on website
