My first issue was the Hippo app. I ordered and paid for a hippo bag, job done but no. When I checked my bank account the following day I noticed that the payment showed pending. I called the hippo number and got through to a very helpful person quickly. I explained my concern and she checked and noticed that the transaction hadn’t completed correctly. She then took my payment and waited to confirm that I received a notification, when I confirmed this we closed the call. This was a big plus. The next issue was the app once again. I tried to book a collection on the app because it was a Saturday, of course my attempts failed. I then went direct to the website and the collection request was confirmed instantly. The next disappointment was delay in collecting. I took Monday as being the first working day and the bag was not collected until the Friday. I tried checking the progression of the collection on the app but it just showed collection pending. I called the office on the Friday and collection was confirmed for that afternoon which did happen.
I have given three stars because the app is really diss functional. The office and website work very well. Once a collection is booked it would be good to be informed of the collection date.

Polite, cheerful man picked up two of our midi bags. I was a bit nervous about how much soil and rubble was in them, but it was a breeze lifting them into the truck and a great weight off my mind. Pity they can't tell you what day the pickup will be though, so I had to make sure there was enough access the whole week.

The lady on the phone when I was booking the collection of our bag was very impatient verging on rude . So I wasn’t expecting the service to be very good .
But our first time of using ,and we found the driver very efficient and skilful . ( the bag had been placed in quite a small tight space by our bathroom fitter ! )
Would possibly use again if needed .

Easy of use to book on line. Phone call if unsure handled well by agent. Check that OK with any overhead cables - they say 23 ft & bag can lifted over a 6ft wall / hedge.
Best of all was collection driver called Marty - very competent friendly & knowledgable. A real artist.Tip from him - for the largest bag fold down the sides to stiffen them before filling helps stop spread.

Using the Hippo skip was a really good experience. You can choose how and when to fill it up and when it's time to collect, they arrive within 5 days. Great alternative to the hassle of ordering a normal skip.

The driver who collected the bag was very polite, patient and highly skilled at removing the full Hippo bag with not much room for manoever.Impressed !
I was hoping the price would be a lot cheaper than a comparably sized metal skip but I do appreciate the service.
