Excellent Service
I ordered a hippo grab skip including collection and it arrived 2 days later with all relevant instructions and guidelines. I had 6 months to fill it which meant there was no pressure but did it in 2. Collection was easy to arrange and their modern large vehicle arrived 3 days later. I was impressed how effecient the team were and how easy they made it look and they were gone after about 10 minutes. I would use them again.

Could fill the bag at my leisure, did not have to make appointment with unreliable waste collectors. Hippobag got even picked up earlier than the 5 working days.

Delivery and online payment simple
Delivery and online payment simple. After we got over the initial problem when I phoned for collection - they couldn’t find a record of the payment using the numbers that came with the paperwork and bag they sent - my payment address was not the same as the bag delivery and collection address (my mother’s house) that was a slightly tiresome phone call - but other than that - what a great service. Especially as the pickup point up the lane would not have been suitable for a skip. Have used Hippo before and will use again.

Easy process: great driver
Easy process, managed to clear renovation mess. The collection driver Steve, was super helpful as I wasn’t sure if I had left my bag in a suitable place.

I can honestly not fault Hippo. Superb service from beginning to end. Had to call their call centre, was dreading it as so used to poor call centre service but the agent was amazing. Really helpful and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend Hippo.

The cost of collecting 3Bags of garden…
The cost of collecting 3Bags of garden waste was over £500! I bought my bags elsewhere cos' at the time I did not realise they supplied them. They have since supplied 3 bags to me but I don't think I shall be using them! A 4yrd skip would have been far cheaper
although I admit it would have taken up more space but a hell of of a lot cheaper!

HIPPOBAGs can be a convenient option where space is limited or a skip isn't practical, but we appreciate that for larger volumes of waste, a skip may sometimes work out to be the more cost-effective choice.

Quite expensive but we thought we would…
Quite expensive but we thought we would pay it for the convenience of taking a bag from B&Q and filling it for quick removal. Paid almost £200 to have a midi bag collected, it is still sat there although the collection was supposed to have been in 5 working days. Really wish we could reverse the decision - bag is still uncollected and we have not heard from Hippo. I also found the information on the leaflets and different parts of the site contradictory and unclear as to what could go in it. Some of the information states different things. I'm really disappointed as it's not as cheap as local waste removal companies but I thought it'd be less effort. We have big renovation project upcoming and wanted to see how the midibag would go with hope of using the skip bags. We will sadly not be using them again.
