Our week in Uplands.
The cottage was lovely, inside very well presented with towels, toilet roll and a few little extras, weird that jam was provided but no scones but milk was. strange.
But unfortunately the negatives was the outside space it was a shambles, the plants were out of control, weeds coming up through the sitting area, pots full of months worth of weeds, the path to the property was over grown with thistles and brambles and smelt very very bad.

The patio outside the back door was a trip hazard, it was very unsafe with elderly guests that we had with the bamboo shooting through the uneven patio.

The view is very important and unfortunately this was taken over by the out of control plants and bamboo which was around 4 ft from the bush,

There was no parasol, no fans and the conservatory no blinds to keep it cool. small changes really need to be made, small changes to improve the property, less than a few hundred pounds.
Very let down with the price and the actual outside space.

We were also verbally abused by a member of another cottage which really was horrible to have witnessed.
Would I recommend no, i’d like a member of holiday cottages to contact me to pass on to the owner as it really was a let down.

Property needs a lot of TLC.
Peeling paint, mould patches and evidence of previous leaks.
A good lick of paint would help solve some of the issues and treatment of mould would help this property.

Please don’t be fooled by the pictures of this property the pool table is not the one shown.broken floor tiles very where in the house. I would like to see a deep clean as the property was dirty and cobwebs on the front and back door was terrible I understand it’s in the county side but this cobwebs was more then a couple of weeks old. Out door kitchen area was unusable because the cleanliness had to buy a bush and mop to clean the house. Kitchen tap was leaking all over the worktop freezer need defrosting. And building material lefted under the stairs. Apart from all that it was a nice property just need a good clean and a bit of up keep the location is on a 60mph two lane highway so be very careful when you have to pull out of the road.

We were able to walk to the beach within 5-10 minutes which was great because the weather was perfect all week. Plenty of room for all 8 adults, a toddler and our dog.

Lovely accommodation at Ocean Echo. Well equipped kitchen and great facilities, dish washer, washing machine, tumble dryer. Lovely open plan kitchen dining room and lounge area with the addition of a separate lounge with tv etc. The master bedroom is exceptionally big with huge en-suite as well.Other rooms all good.
Location ok about 15 minutes from beach and town and coastal path. No sea views. Booking process was easy as always.

Our break was a last minute getaway and having not used this company before made us a little nervous. There is a little waiting time for confirmation of booking but communication was excellent and plenty of instructions followed which put our minds at rest. We will definately look to book through holiday cottages again, everything was seamless.

The properly is set back a bit next to a shop with a few steps leading upto the front door,once you are in we was pleasantly surprised how spacious it was, and is situated on top of the shop. the property had everything you need had a washing machine cooker fridge microwave kettle ect,the property didnt seem to be wheel chair friendly as there was more steps to get therther into the property, but is a well furnished and clean property. Please bare in mind that the property is directly infront of the ship inn and a lounge bar at the rear of the property and in the morning you can hear glass bottles being put into the bins and as you are in the heart of mavergissy you will hear a lot of chatty people this didn't bother us as it wasn't to loud .the pub is quiet not rowdy and is run by very friendly staff. The owner of the property is very friendly and helpfull to which is great. I would recommend using willow car park only cost us £45 for the week and is run by extremely friendly and helpful staff. we totally recommend staying at the quarterdeck apartment as it is so close to the harbour and mavergissy is such a beautiful place to visit and is not too fare away from the eden project tintagle ect . Please also bear in mind if you haven't been to Cornwall before the roads are very narrow and not really designed for modern cars especially some big EVs, so with this in mind please drive with a bit of respect for the locals and you will have a fab holiday will definitely come again .

Easy and quick to book with loads of property and location choices. Reasonable prices and genuine advertising of properties.

Turning up to this cottage definitely put a smile on my wife’s face. That is worth every penny.

Holiday cottages are very easy to book through and communication was clear and timely.

Love Sea houses. The cottage was in a great location for everything. but also quiet and peaceful position

Lovely property, middle of the town near to all facilities

As a family of three, we absolutely loved our stay. The owners were always nearby if we needed anything, yet they gave us all the privacy we wanted, which was the perfect balance.

The animals were an absolute delight—friendly cats, dogs, chickens and horses all added to the charm of the place.

The location was wonderfully peaceful, with no traffic noise at all, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind. The clear night skies were incredible for stargazing—I only wish I’d remembered to bring my tripod!

The games room was a lovely bonus, and even better, some truly stunning beaches are within an hour’s drive.

We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this wonderful place to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway. We had a fantastic time and would happily return.
