The engineer arrived on time and contacted me before he was due to arrive. He was quick but thorough.

It took 3 visits to sort out the problem with a very smelly drain/toilet. The first appointment was cancelled and rearranged by Homeserve. The first engineer flushed the drains and said we needed a plumber. No plumber arrived. I contacted Homeserve 10 days later to see when the plumber was coming. They apologised and arranged for a plumber to come. He came and said he couldn't really do anything to resolve the issue and left without checking that what he had done, left us with a leaking toilet. It wasn't leaking before his visit. Homeserve were contacted again and after several days a plumber arrived. He was exceptional and apologised for the previous poor service. He knew what the problem was, changed the connector between the toilet and the waste pipe. He fixed the original smell problem and the leak caused by the second Homeserve engineer. The process started on 6th May and was concluded on 27th May. If the review was just based on the first and last engineer and none of the stuff in between, it would have been 5 stars,

It was very easy to reapply on line. When complete I was unable to open my previous account but I used the online chat and a very helpful lady checked and reopened my account. I was then able to look at my cover plan immediately.
