CLASSICAL RIP OFF STORE

CLASSICAL RIP OFF STORE - I spent a number of days at the store, at some points an hour waiting for my repair. During these times, I got to observe the store manager/owner (Tall with pony tail), this is the man to watch out for. As I waited I noticed insane mark ups made for a range of products they sell from laptops/computer parts so GPUs, CPUs, cables… the works. They did not seem to have market rates for much of their products and other customers would eventually get to market rates after haggling or just standing there waiting for the man to eventually lower his crazy price hikes. I noticed one customer who came in for a simple memory card for a particular size and he gave him double the price, how do I know this? I checked on Amazon whilst in store as it was happening. They hound on unsuspecting customers and although they have the computing knowledge which I will not discredit them for, they will take every opportunity to take as much of your money. Go there with a sense of patience and do not be in a rush to resolve your issue, plan ahead!

In order to be able to resolve the issues that you have raised, I would like to clarify the following.

Upon booking a repair with us, we do not have any facility for customers to wait in our store, unless it is a quick repair (e.g. a phone screen replacement). We provide our customers with an estimated timeframe so they can return to the store at their convenience when their device has been repaired. In the case of your rig, you were adamant that you wanted to wait on the premsies, despite us informing you that such repairs take time. We also informed you about our minimum service charge prior to booking it in, which you were also refusing.

You mentioned in your review about our pricing. As a retailer, we wouldn't be in business if we didn't try to keep our prices competitive. You particularly mentioned PC components such as GPUs and CPUs, which, as you are probably aware, are in extremely high demand. We keep our pricing transparent and competitive - you are more than welcome to view our prices on our website and compare them with other retailers.

Furthermore, your comment about Amazon - they do not set the manufacturer prices. I'm sure that if you compare Amazon prices with other stores, including Currys, Argos, etc, you'll find Amazon are still cheaper. However Amazon will not provide you with our support and guidance prior to choosing your product, nor will they assist you with future warranty claims.

Our customers, including yourself, are more than welcome to shop around to find the best price. We, when possible, try to help our customers with this by price matching with nearby retailers.

Lenovo T480S

Fantastic service. Ordered a Lenovo ThinkPad T480S from them, ordered on a Friday evening and delivered first thing Monday. After sales support was great as I am not familiar with Windows 10 and they helped me out over the phone. Great team and have no complaints. Cheers guys

Happy to have purchased my KFA2 RTX…

Happy to have purchased my KFA2 RTX 3080 from the House of Computers. It arrived really quickly and was well packaged. I've had EVGA cards previously but loving the KFA2 model!

Delivery from online took an extra day…

Delivery from online took an extra day but I can only assume that’s because of the whole COVID thing going on. Apart from that they dispatch products in a timely manner - well packaged and excellent after sales service. Or, if you need something right away, you can go to the shop which is not far from Russell Square.

Decent prices

Decent prices, the staff seem to know their stuff. Technician is very knowledgeable and gave me very in-depth information about Samsung screen replacement from start to finish. Got to learn all about the difference between good and bad screen it was nice. The shop takes card and if you're buying for a business you can ask for VAT paperwork which is handy for me. So yeah nice shop.
