Purchasing the card was easy. It was easy to add multiple cards to one app and scan everyone in at once. We used the 48-hour card for public transit (including to Schipol airport), discounted 1/2 day... See more

Great investment if you want to see a lot of attractions and museums.

Using the City Card was easy. I visited several museums, which more than covered the cost of the card. The only mishap I had was trying to use the card for transit from the airport. It was a little confusing at first to know which public transportation is covered.

We love the card because I was able to hop on and hop off the Metro, Tram and Bus within the City of Amsterdam so conveniently.

I'm so tired of being asked to review everything. At age 76 I have better things to do with my time. But trust me, this is one of the world's true bargains.

I felt like we really got our money’s worth using the card. Most of the places we visited accepted the card and made it much cheaper than buying tickets individually. We also used the tram to move around and the card covered the cost of our transportation.

Everything was fine. Only one things was bad. It was necessary to check in and check out from public transport, not only to tap, you must scan QR code. If you have 2 cards, this process is very uncomfortable.

The I amsterdam card is a must..hop off and on the public transport and access to so many tourist attractions and activities. Well worth the cost.

It’d be good if it also included transit from Schiphol into Amsterdam Centre.

The card was easy to use and works as advertised. Would be better if it included one or two more of the most popular attractions.

We made good use of the card. Really enjoyed the included city walking tour and the de Pijp food tour. Houseboat museum was a very cool find. ‘This is Holland’ experience was a lot of fun!

We have just returned from a lovely trip to using the Amsterdam City Card. The city itself is absolutely beautiful, full of history, culture and interesting places to explore. We really enjoyed our holiday and would definitely return again — although next time we would probably visit when it is a little quieter.
We travelled during , so the city was unbelievably busy, with thousands of people everywhere. Walking around the streets and canals was quite difficult at times due to the crowds. Unfortunately, we also found the street parties were not very well organised, and the amount of rubbish left the following day was shocking. The urinals placed around the canals were overflowing, which did spoil parts of the experience.
One thing we did struggle with was the Amsterdam City Card itself. We paid around £168 for the cards but only managed to use them twice. We believed the card would activate automatically once activities were booked, but that was not the case. We had to find the office in person to activate them, which wasted valuable holiday time. So if anyone is thinking about buying an Amsterdam City Card, I would strongly recommend looking properly into how activation works before you travel.
Despite those issues, Amsterdam is still a stunning and fascinating city, and overall we had a very enjoyable time. We will definitely be back again one day.

I collected the physical card from Amsterdam Central Station so I didn’t have to worry about battery and payments going through on my phone. Staff there were very helpful. The card was really easy to use to see many of the sites and exhibitions in Amsterdam. I got the 4 day card which was really good value for money, I used it 2/3 times each day for museums etc, plus on the transport system and was a lot cheaper than making individual payments

We used the card over 5 days and found it very helpful and good value. I especially loved being able to use the public transportation. Unfortunately the app did not work for us and we had to go get a physical card but everything else was great.

The iAmsterdam card was easy to use and provided a lot of opportunities to travel around the city and see the sights.
The only downside was that some of the experiences were very similar, so for us, we opted to only see attractions that different, like only one or two museums. But that is how we like to travel.
Other than that, the card provides a lot of opportunities to see Amsterdam and enjoy what is has to offer in a very convenient manner.

We can do a lot of things in Amsterdam and the city card was doing well in the transports and in the muséums. A good experience in Amsterdam.
