Excellent pricing and selection of bikes but quite many issues

TL:DR Superb pricing especially on Specialized bikes. If you are willing to wait to save some serious money then definitely worth the wait.

Note that In stock items do not mean these are in stock at the reseller, but deliverable from manufacturer, so prepare to wait on some cases.

In case you can speak Spanish, I would assume the communication would have less misunderstandings.

Longer version:
If there was anything that can go wrong, I would guess that all of those went wrong with this order. Worth noting, that most of the issues were not IBKBikes fault in any way, but from customer experience perspective it could have been way better.

Ordered and paid a Specialized bike (in stock, shipping in 2 days) from black Friday offers on Nov 27th. Next day got a message (in french) stating after translations that there will be a minimum of 15 days delay on the order due to Specialized not able to deliver the bikes.

Due to longer delivery time I asked if they could then customize the bike as part of the assembly to make up some time. Kindly got an answer from Rosi that this is no problem at all and the requested changes shall be made.

13 days later got a message that the bike has been shipped using FedEx (Beelzepub of all courier services btw.). Quite fast shipping, 5 days from door to door, but unfortunately the package was well mishandled (Don't accept package with any damages and do not let fedex deliver it contactless!). Bike box was impaled from 2 places quite heavily clearly by a forklift and the end result was a cracked carbon frame. This again is definitely not IBKBikes fault, but definitely not a surprise for me as a FedEx experience.

Also when unpacking it was shown that nothing really had been done on the assembly service and that no promised customizations had been made. Rosi was kind enough to respond to the message and promised that they will sort this out. This was a definite IBKBike error, to which I never got an explanation why this happened

Unfortunately this is where the communication started to suffer and long wait of what is going to happen next started. It took a week to get only a message that FedEx will pickup the bike. This might be due me not speaking Spanish, and or Christmas holiday time, but this could have definitely gone better in this case, especially when someone has your money and you do not have a product it tends to make you wonder. Worth noting is that if you ask, Rosi will answer, but otherwise there is no information towards the customer, so don't panic.

After another week or so I got a message stating that once they receive the damaged bike, they will send me a replacement, but there is nothing that they can do about the promised changes as they do not have such parts. So again, unclear communication is something that might be due to me not being fluent in Spanish, but also this was a promise that was made and not kept.

So here we are 45 days later from the "shipping in 2 days" that I finally have the bike. Bike missed Christmas and missed the planned 14 days of riding for the bikes recipient, and still need to do the needed changes myself, but such is life.

Awful

Awful, many faults with bike and they refuse to help. Cranks exposed with no cover and wet paint.

We even sent you a video of several bikes with the same cranks, all of which are the same, without any additional caps.

In this case, the bicycle did not have any defects, and we have detailed each complaint with its corresponding explanation, as the grease on some moving parts and the characteristics of the cranks are normal and typical of the bicycle.

We would be delighted to serve you in the future and hope that you will continue to trust us as your go-to cycling shop.

Avoid…

Awful experience there were many faults with the bike and parts missing as well as wet paint within the seat post, dropper seat cable was snapped and covers missing from vital components.
After a week of back and fourth they tell me that the parts missing is normal and take it to a shop for repair!

Update- very quick responding to reviews, but not so quick helping with issues. Very disappointed. Just had email asking for a video despite me sending in numerous pictures of the issue, this is merely a deflection tactic. Don’t waste your money!

3000 miles and counting

I've had my Wild H10 for about 15 months and have over 3000 miles on a lot of rough and rowdy trails so I have a good long term view of this bike. Likes: As billed, its a great Ebike for black to double black trails. Kills the downhills and does amazing on technical ups. Tough and able to take abuse due to aluminum frame and stout wheels. Dislikes: HEAVY - despite Orbea calling it light, it weighs 55 lbs. Add on the range extender and you're at 58. That's not light, and wears you down on long rides.
Also makes it very cumbersome for portage over cliffs, down trees, etc. Battery (750wh) is losing power. I'm going to get it tested at my LBS but I don't get anywhere near the range I did when it was new. I hope Orbea or Bosch step up to get me a warranty battery or good discount on a new one, which I expect to need soon. In the meantime, I'll strap on the range extender anytime I'm expecting to ride over 25 miles.

Breach of Legal Warranty and Lack of Conformity – Specialized Diverge E5

Update 30/11/2025:
IBKSports only directed me to a local Specialized supplier after I explained to them my rights.
After bringing the bike to the supplier that they suggested and after the supplier confirmed that the bike needed the repair and confirming that it was under warranty, IBKSports denied paying for the ridiculous amount of 58.80CHF=63.02EUR.

SUMMARY: Do not trust IBKSports as a supplier; neither on what they provide technically (bicycles with serious safety issues), neither on their support to respond to warranty cases.

I purchased a Specialized Diverge E5 in January 2024 from IBKBIKE, paying extra for professional assembly. After 18 months, the front wheel experienced a serious safety failure: the axle bolt came loose while riding due to a missing or prematurely failed spacer, causing the brake rotor to deform and putting my safety at risk.
This issue clearly falls under the legal warranty of 3 years under EU and Spanish consumer law (Royal Decree-law 7/2021), which presumes manufacturing defects during the first 2 years. Despite this, the seller refused to honor the warranty, claiming unrelated repairs on other parts of the bike (not the wheel). They even initially agreed to send a replacement wheel and later retracted, which I consider a breach of contractual obligations.
The affected wheel has never been serviced by a non-specialized workshop and can be presented in the same condition as the incident if shipping costs are covered. I have already filed a formal complaint with the consumer authorities and will escalate to arbitration if necessary.
Very disappointed with the lack of accountability and poor after-sales service. I do not recommend this retailer.

We want to clarify our position and the standard procedure for handling warranty issues with a major brand like Specialized:

Manufacturer's Warranty Process: As an authorized Specialized dealer, our role is to act as the intermediary to facilitate the manufacturer's warranty. A warranty claim must be formally assessed and approved by the manufacturer (Specialized), not by the distributor (IBKBIKE) directly. This is the standard procedure to determine if the failure is due to a manufacturing defect or other causes (wear, crash, improper maintenance by a non-authorized service center, etc.).

Warranty Management Option: We clearly informed you that the official Specialized warranty can be processed at ANY OFFICIAL AUTHORIZED Specialized dealer. This allows for a local, quicker assessment by a certified technician who can then submit the formal claim to the manufacturer. This is often the fastest and most practical route for the customer.

Our Consistent Stance: The steps you need to follow, including the requirement for the manufacturer's analysis, have been clearly communicated to you.
We must adhere to the manufacturer's official warranty protocol.

We are committed to resolving this within the established framework. If you are willing to send the affected wheel to us, submit the component to Specialized for the final, official warranty evaluation.

We acknowledge and understand your decision to escalate the matter to consumer authorities, and we will fully cooperate with the arbitration process to ensure a fair resolution based on the official manufacturer's assessment.

Disgraceful

I was sold mudguards but they came with no fixtures or stays. So I can’t fix them on to the bike. I was told they would send the missing parts. Now they say, untruthfully, that they clearly stated there were no fixtures with the mudguards. I’ve asked them to receive the mudguards back and refund me. They are ignoring me. Disgraceful.

I ordered my bike on August 18 and received it on September 2 via FedEx in perfect condition. Everything went smoothly – fast delivery, secure packaging, and the bike itself is fantastic.

I had a disappointing experience with…

I had a disappointing experience with IBKbike.com. My order stayed “in processing” for 8 days, only for customer support to later inform me that I needed to pay an additional €23 in shipping costs. While Eduardo from customer service was quick to reply, the store’s policies and shipping process clearly need improvement.

After cancel the order, still waiting for any kind of information about the refund, no info at all for now

On a previous high-value order, the package got lost, and I was the one who had to chase and resolve the issue myself, with very little support from IBKbike.

Overall, despite their competitive prices, the lack of reliability make this a shop to avoid. There are plenty of better online alternatives out there, that calculate the shipping cost for Portugal mainland / Portugal Madeira / Portugal Azores without a full week wainting time to ask for the price difference

We would like to clarify that our system automatically calculates standard shipping costs for mainland Portugal. However, for Madeira, ground transport is not possible and the shipment must be sent by air freight, which comes at a much higher cost.

In your order, the system initially applied the mainland rate, which is why an adjustment of €23 was required. This amount actually represents only a fraction of the real additional cost, since IBKbike covers the larger part of the difference.

Great shop

Great shop! Highly recommend. I bought a Cannondale Habit LT2 at the best price in Europe, and although the delivery was a week late, customer support was very responsive and the bike came in perfect order. I'll definitely check them out again when it will be time for a bike upgrade.

I ordered 8 june a bike hear nothing after that

I ordered 8 june a bike.
After that a few mails about payment.
Order stays in "handling order" I hear nothing after that. I mailed 14 june about that and if I can get an invoice. Nothing. No response. I called and just an voicemail.
It looks not okay.

Bike was damaged in delivery

Order was 4 weeks late, 4 days promised delivery is all rubbish. When bike finally arrived, box was broken and bike had srach and bar tape was damaged. Despite very clear pictures, ibk bike claimed that they saw no injuries and offered 30 euros giftcard. Truly dissapointing experience, dont recommend, if anything goes wrong they dont take the responcibility. Dear cyckling friend keep away from this shop.
