Lost 430 EUR

Orders some items on ikea.fr and used a gift card.

They scheduled a delivery - which never came. I then spent hours online as they couldn't find the order. It had disappeared from their system! They can't look up an order using a gift card number. My order was gone and my money!!

I went to the store and customer service was much better but they couldn't refund as it was online - all they could do is send the request to accounting. I will never order online from ikea again.

My gift card was missing the 430 EUR. They kept blaming me as a foreigner. Really a nightmare.

One month later I am still fighting to get my 430 EUR refunded,

We ordered a cannapé called Slator we…

We ordered a cannapé called Slator we payed 899 euro and 58 euro for delivery. We maked an apointment of delivery for monday 28 march between 12,00 and 17,00
We maked place in our room for the large canapé. In 2 emails Ikea confirmed the delivery. But no delivery at all. No sign of Ikea at all.
29 of march we telephoned several times with Ikea. Then we were told the delivery will take place on april 5 between 8,00 and 12,00. On the 4 of april they confirmed the delivery on the 5 of april with no time limit.
We are still waiting.....

Their stock is messed up

Their website is inneficient. They let you put the item in your shopping cart, select a store for the pick up and at the last moment before paying, they mark it as out of stock.
Placing an order takes forever.

Completing one order took me three days because of the lack of stock, unfortunately it wasn't the only problem.
My deliver has been split into two cars that arrived at different time. It wouldn't be an issue if the driver of the second car didn't force me to pay second time for the delivery, claiming that "his order" wasn't set. I've never seen an invoice for the second delivery and when called the customer service I've been told that he must have taken the money to his pocket and since there is no proof anything like this happened - I neither will see the receipt not get the refund. On top of everything the lady on the customer service line kept interrupting me. Horrible service.
I'm shocked that such a big brand allows themselves to employ thieves and makes nothing to keep the good name.

Worst on line experience

I have given one star purely to be allowed to write this review. In fact the service is nothing short of sharp practice bordering on false pretences
In September 15/2021 my fridge broke and as we were flying back to UK at end of week I stupidly ordered a replacement fridge ONLINE. Payment was taken and confirmation received that product would be delivered on 22nd. I changed flight in order to take delivery. I received an email showing a moving van which accompanied the words ….on its way! When the 22nd arrived and no delivery I attempted the futile process of trying to contact IKEA .
Three days later I had to leave France and return to UK. My husband is on medical treatment and would could no longer remain without the use of a fridge for his medication. Upon returning to uk attempted to contact just anyone in connection with IKEA but to no avail. I contacted credit card company in attempt to cancel payment. October came snd went nothing, just the original message with a van …on its way. I had to cancel relatives staying in my apartment as there is an empty space where the fridge should be and th weather was too hot to be without one.
On 9th November received a call via the entry phone in France from a delivery man from IKEA stating he was there to deliver a fridge ! I asked him to wait whilst I tried to get a neighbour to open the door. She arrived within 5 minutes to be told by the concierge that they had gone taking the fridge with them!!! They left no card, no contact instructions despite having my contact number. I am still without a fridge and no way to contact IKEA and no idea whether the fridge has been returned, resold. Shame on you IKEA. For a company of your size and reputation you should be ashamed. I should not have put my trust in you and have read the many reviews which are absolutely damning of your sharp practices snd non existent customer service. I hope any potential customer takes heed of the many people who have been similarly treated in this shoddy manner. We can’t all be wrong!

Unacceptable wait in queue to pay. I visited the Toulouse IKEA this…

I visited the Toulouse IKEA this afternoon and had to wait 25 minutes to pay. The queues were long and roughly half of the cash desks were no on. It was embarrassing for IKEA looking behind me at the long queues. My friend informed me, the queues were very long too in Edinburgh when she visited two days ago. Come on IKEA, get your act together.

Wasting time

They let you spend hours conceiving your own personalised dressing on theyr website just to inform you :
1st : some articles you've selected are not in stock.
2nd : some more articles are not available for delivery at home or at theyr very own shop.

No estimation about when it might be in stock, no warning that what you're building on the website isn't in stock.

Thanks mates, was about to place a 700€ order, was so disapointed that i ended up looking at other websites, instead i'm ordering a prefabricated 450€ dressing with a 33% discount that's got pretty much everything i wanted. I'll DIY the rest with the wife.

First and last experience with IKEA.

Worst online experience ever

Their products might be great and really affordable but their overall logistics and ordering experience is the worst I have ever seen on and offline.

- Ordering a fully equipped kitchen (worth 8 k€), some items weren't in stock. So they split the order in several parts. In the end, I had to pay shipping (100€) for each order and absolutely had no way of getting my money back.

- Ordering a 2 k€ custom made countertop, with an install service attached (150€) by a third-party company IKEA provided. The delivery was expected on date D and install on D+1. On D-3, I received a text message from IKEA saying the shipping company had not receive the countertop and that I should call Ikea (like they couldn't handle the issue themselves...). I called them on D-3, they "launched" a search to find the countertop. On D-2, I called them again, someone told me the search was useless and started another process. On D-1, I called them again and a 3rd person started yet another process. On D+1, I called them again and they told me the shipping company had found the countertop. So we scheduled a delivery the following week (D+7), and the install on D+8. We are now D+7, I just called the third-party company Ikea recommended to install my countertop. They won't make the install tomorrow as their schedule are already full and basically Ikea booked the slot too late (had I not called, I could have waited for them forever). And now, I have to wait 15 more days until I can get my countertop installed because Ikea s*cks at their external comms, their partners handling and their overall logistics...

Anyway, don't order online. Go to the shop and be a sheep roaming the alleys and binge-buying everything you don't need. That's the only way they want you to buy their stuff.

So far away of customer care best, even standard practices

I am sure, I hope that you will be interested by my feedback as IKEA.COM customer.

I ordered 7 rails for my kitchen on October 15 on ikea.com ; I was happy to be able to plan the delivery at home on October 20th between 13:00 and 17:00.
As I have already experienced one delivery issue for my kitchen in August 2021, I contacted IKEA customer service twice the day before and on the D-Day: both confirmed that the delivery will be executed respecting the planned delivery. Exciting !

Unfortunately, my order was not delivered yesterday... I called your customer service team. My first call was given up by your agent (even if she, Sylvie, noted by mobile phone to call me back in case of phone issue); I had to call again and the customer agent was able neither to contact your delivery partner (to update the delivery status/understand what I was not delivered), nor to propose a new delivery date. I claimed for a case number and for being called back by your customer care to propose me a new delivery date "Sorry sir but YOU will have to call back to organize the delivery"... Totally crazy and so far from what we can expect for a standard (not luxury !) customer experience.

To make my customer experience so painful, I received a mail confirming the delivery (the customer care confirmed that this delivery message was wrong and an error....). No customer care is reaching such a level...

CONCLUSION OF MY IKEA EXPERIENCE :I have to take the train tomorrow from Paris to Grenoble, rent a car to pick up the 7 rails in Grenoble store to bring them to my kichen installer.
I then called back (the fifth time in 2 days) your customer service to request a reimbursement (case #####) of my online delivery "Yes sir, you will be reimbursed when the delivery partner will have sent back the products...). What should I wait for the delivery partner (that was not able ti make its job and deliver my products....) to send the products back before getting reimbursement...

Sincerely, I am regularly ordering online but this experience (that is the second bad experience since August with IKEA) is really the (far)worst I have ever had.

Ordered online Email confirmation with order of pick up date and time 16/09/21 Arrived to be told no delivery had come two and half hours round trip Pick up point staff ( Super U Drive ) very helpful and apologetic suggested to ring before attempting another journey,which we did having be told yes the order had arrived
Again long round trip No order in situ but an order sheet to say delivery date was 27/09/21 this was now 29/09/21
Web page order tracking shows delivery on course for 14/09/21
Nothing is corresponding online to what is actually happening.
While we totally accept delays in these difficult COVID times , it is the total lack of coherent and accurate information which is driving us mad
Please IKEA sort out a more efficient and accurate information service. Based on this experience I will not be ordering or buying from you again

The worst company I have dealt with taken my money and still no delivery!! Customer service are absolutely useless and ignorant!!
I would sooner go without rather than deal with this company!! Buyer beware you will be very very disappointed. You have been warned ⚠️shop somewhere else and save yourself loads of grief !!!!

5€ le click and collect 1ere et dernière fois que je le fais...on arrive on se gare au Niveau du retrait non faut se garer au niveau du parking je vous ramène ça...on attend on entend le préparateur dire a sa collègue bah j'attends que les gens viennent...euh bah faut savoir vraiment pas aimable.
Les colis posés à l'arrache sur un espèce de chariot dans une descente hyper pratique...service nul et personnel qui n'aide pas donc la prochaine fois on ira direct dans le magasin

Pass sanitaire

We are visiting from South Africa and have proof of our vaccination status which fully complies with French law and has been accepted by the airlines, immigration officials, Toulon police and various stores and restaurants - all except Ikea whose security seem to be poorly informed and unwilling to follow-up if they are uncertain - so just refused us entry this morning.

Ordered for home delivery paying €59 in…

Ordered for home delivery paying €59 in France for it so you think they would do a good job but no. Delivery men said to count the items of which there were 21. I counted and yes there was 21 items. I go to build the bunk bed and 1 box is missing. Wanted the bed for guests staying and now my guests are leaving. IKEA couldn't even apologies for it and send out the remaining part of the bed in time. There's so much more they've messed up with this order, I don't have the energy to even write it out. Just don't bother.

First time ordering online ikea France first rate service all items including double bed delivered all on time kept informed every step of delivery via email @ txt even got call from delivery guy to say he was on his way 10 minuets later order arrived so thank you ikea and delivery guys great service will definately order again

Zero stars

Zero stars. Bad service. Ordered for the first time and it's a disaster experience. Received 2 things out of 10 ordered even after waiting for a month and chasing them. The 2 things received are also incomplete. A half kitchen closet common man! A table with only legs. What am I suppose to do with it? You shouldn't have sent this also! Horrible experience. I do not recommend it.
