PANEK / Czech Republic 

Having visited Prague for first time, we decided to hire a car in a company. Choose Panek. Prices are very good, stuff is conscientious, we were given a brand new Toyota Yaris. Picking up took about 10 min. Great !

Very good company, nice service and willingness to help, we will definitely see each other again!

Warning for Panek S.A.
I would advise everyone not to rent a car from this company!
I rented a car at Prague airport from 20/8/2024 to 24/8/2024.
A few days later, again at home, Panek S.A. made a deduction from my account for a fictitious expense.

I did not receive any correction after my complaint and proof that the cost was incorrect.
Later, I turned to Hubert Bakalarz, manager of South-West Poland and Czech Republic.
He claimed the same thing as the office in Prague.
Finally, I have tried to contact Maciej Panek, CEO of the company, but he has chosen
not responding to my messages.

AWFUL. Booked a car and prepaid. Went to pick up on Saturday morning only to see their office is closed. When I called they said my booking is cancelled and I need to call myself another agency for a refund. When I asked why noone noticed me my booking is cancelled before I got there, they told me to be patient and understandable. It was impossible to book a car from any other company nearby and my day was ruined. The guy from an agency next door said they do it all the time.

We have booked an SUV about 3 months prior to our trip. Showed up at the rental counter (Prague airport) to find out that it isn't available. Instead they offered us sedan which was useless for 2 bike boxes. They don't accept AMEX. If you take their insurance they do accept it. Ultimately forced us to pay for it and it was more expensive than the car rental. Awful experience and lesson learned not to use this company again.

The best cars, all good

we were in Prague for 5 days , and we used this service to rent a car . everything was perfect, the car is in grate condition, stuff is helpful, they have the cheapest prices in the city , highly recommend !

Overall a good experience

AVOID AT ALL COSTS - THEY ARE FRAUDSTERS AND SCAMMERS! As many others, we were charged extra on UK drivers license which is not a requirement in EU, and were charged a cleaning fee on spotless clean car. They do this after the hire without authorisation. Block your credit cards when returning your cars!!

A few hours after I posted this review, two days after hire, Panek deducted 1250 from our depsoit for a dirty car fee. The car was spotless. Original review:Charged us €30 per day instead of €17 advertised in Carjet because they say they do not accept British driving licences. Also charged us more than the price agreed when booking but could not tell us why and threatened to cancel the booking when we queried it. Artyom at the desk was exceptionally rude.

My 6 month old baby outside at 2am in the cold with no car to take us anywhere because of this absolutely useless car rental company.
We booked a car for 1:30am pick up (all confirmed ok by them via email and text message), we turn up and nobody was to be found! 24hr service phone number on the door and nobody answered it!! So frustrating.

We had to get a $200 Uber to our accommodation, and now have no car rental for the week.

AVOID this company.

Car was unavailable, I was told it was canceled but no one notified me. 24 beforehand I received an email saying they are looking for my visit.
They tried helping me , but their supply of cars is very low and I needed a mini van.

Great service provided, car in good condition.
