Have waited weeks for the Llanelli branch to just advertise the house. They keep lying and fobbing us off. Have no faith in them selling the property. Will be going elsewhere

Absolutely terrible experience with these estate agents. Viewed a property and gave an offer. They made out that we were the only one's who had put in an offer and that it would most likely be accepted. We received no correspondence and whenever I called it would go straight to voicemail. When I finally got in contact with them they made up some excuse that they couldn't get hold of the owners of the property. This carried on for weeks and weeks. Eventually I found out from another person interested in the property that it had been sold to someone else. Avoid these estate agents like the plague. My time has been well and truly wasted!

Been trying to contact this company vai emails and phone calls over the last 2 weeks.no reply via emails,finally got through onced they'd switched they're answer phone off,and arranged a preliminary time for an viewing on the Wednesday,lady saying she would get back to me that day to confirm,no response,then had a call out pv the blue late on Friday saying that the time for the appointment had been changed,didn't know I had an appointment,as the appointment was for the next day,and had arranged other plans ,so had to cancel THEYRE appointment,had lots of dealings with estate agents and in my opinion this is the worst one I have come across.

After calling to enquire about a property of interest I was deflected with an offer to view a "similar property" in the same area within the next hour. I quickly accepted and left work early making the 35min drive to the town. I arrived a few mins early and was greeted by another prospective viewer, we were both confused, it seems they double booked. I called up the agency after 10 mins of no show and couldn't get hold of anyone. I then waited and attempted to call again and again, eventually they informed me there had been a problem and could I wait 45 mins. I accepted went and got a coffee and viewed the initial property from the outside before heading back at the agreed time. Only to be told (after more unanswered phone calls) of even more delays and they would be with me shortly (spoilers: they weren't). Another half hour went by of being "just around the corner getting the keys" before the agent showed up. The property itself was in a terrible location and the agent even had the temerity to suggest we move forward with a holding fee for the property. Will not be using again.

Extremely unprofessional. I called on 18/04/2023 around 11.30am and booked a viewing for a 3 bed detached house for sale-Gorsafle, Ystradgynlais, Powys SA9, all details were taken name surname phone number email address home address etc, booked for 19/04/2023 at 4.30 pm, arrived 10 min early front of the above property I have waited until 4.45pm and no one from the agency arrived then I have called the branch after several calls they pick up the phone explained the situation and they told me that no viewing was booked and try to book me in for Friday 21/03/2023 and again took my details over the phone spelling my name 4 times and the lady keep asking me to repeat again and again and she never manages to confirm my name correctly, I travel 40 miles to view this property and spend time and petrol money. THIS IS Awful service but sadly expected, poor communication skills. Will not be recommending them to anyone.

I would like to say that I found John Francis to be an extremely professional estate agent. They sold my property. Were extremely helpful keeping me updated. I would highly recommend them. So very big thank you .

It was a good experience transacting with staff of John Francis ( Walter Road Swansea ), they were really helpful in our property purchase process and highly professional.

Absolutely useless, from viewing to further correspondence. Totally disinterested during walk around of the property, no follow up call’s or progress updates. They have been like this for years and why people still use their overpriced services is beyond me? AVOID

10 weeks ago John Francis Sketty were given the signed instruction to sell my property.
I walked into the office on the off chance about 2 weeks ago, to see when they were going to market.
Today (10 weeks later) I have handed the sale of my property over to another agency.
In the 10 weeks, I have been ignored, no communication (until I walked into the office), lied to and mis sold the conveyance and professional photography package(thankfully an excellent legal firm anyway!).
10 weeks- no floor plans drawn up.
No photos of the house
No requests for information to me or their recommended solicitors.
1 day ago sent me the forms to complete- forms I should have filled in 10 weeks ago.
Absolutely awful office.
Pity. The ladies and gent I have spoke to in the Killay office (I live right between the 2 offices) have been excellent.
Wish I could have used that office, but just into the boundary of the Sketty office.
Sketty office have been extremely unprofessional and downright incompetent from the outset in my humble opinion and wasted 10 weeks of time that very nearly jeopardised my purchase of a new place to call home- downsizing due to health issues.
Health issues that absolutely love stress and anxiety. thrive on them!

Ah well. That's about a £6,000 commission that John Francis has lost, in an area where houses rarely come to market and sell very quickly due to the local school being in the top 10 list of Welsh schools

Avoid John Francis (Sketty office) like the plague if you want less stress when selling your place.
Trust Pilot won't allow me to give ZERO starts, which would still be far too high a rating

Myself and my partner were looking too sell our house and we also found a bungalow that we were interested in buying, we were put with Chloe from the Haverfordwest branch and when viewing the bungalow let’s just say that it was a good thing the owner was around so he could answer any questions we had whilst Chloe played with his dog, despite this myself and my partner loved the bungalow and after we viewed it and got home we decided to phone Chloe to put an offer in, as the branch was closing for new years we thought considering we didn’t hear back later that day that we would hear on Tuesday 3rd January when they open again, hours went passed and nothing, so we decided to phone her and ask if the owner had accepted or declined our offer to which she replied that he’s accepted a different offer from someone this morning and when asked about wether she even put across to him our offer she said no when we asked her why she didn’t have an answer to which my partner told her she’s lost a sale from us and lost the chance to sell our house and put the phone down! she was more interested in slagging off the Milford haven branch and making sure she was the one that was going to sell our house and not the Milford haven branch and didn’t have a clue what she was doing! Absolutely useless and incompetent and we will never go back to her

We had a two hour visit for a valuation at our house from the manager at Haverfordwest branch on a Friday afternoon. The lady who visited was extremely enthusiastic about our home, and said she would contact us on the Monday to inform us of her valuation as she needed to do more research. That was four weeks ago and we have heard NOTHING since. They obviously cannot be bothered to market our house and have lost a possible £6k or more in fees. Don't waste your time contacting them.

Tried buying a house from the Llanelli branch. I called for days but never once did they bother to answer the phone or call me back from the countless voicemails I left. Not sure how they are still in business.

Stay away from this lot of plums thy sent a letter to me as i had put my one of my houses up for sale i called them two weeks ago to book a valuation on the 21 sep it takes me 1hr 30 mins to get to the house and thy dont turn up when i called them to ask y i was told that there boss couldn't do it today thy didn't even call me to let me know this is very unprofessional let this be a warning to anyone thinking of using them a total waste of time and if thy cant turn up for a valuation what is it going to be like for viewings thy are not a good company stay well away there are lots of better estate agents out ther this is not one of them

We found the staff at John Francis’ Llanelli branch polite and pleasant to deal with. However, their communication systems are weak and very little key information is passed on in a timely fashion. We didn’t receive any feedback from the eight or so people who viewed our property and we feel that nothing was done unless we initiated it with a phone call. A more pro-active attitude on their part, supported by more robust internal systems, would have helped enormously.

I arranged a valuation from the llaneli branch for our property, after 5 emails back and for a date and time was agreed. We then let our tenants of both properties know we were coming. After sitting outside the properties for 10 minutes on the day I rang the branch, they seemed unaware of any arrangement and said they had no emails from me. I brought the emails up while we were talking but they still denied it even when I gave him dates and names. What a waste of every ones time! I had been warned about the branch but gave them the benefit of the doubt. More fool me, never again. Terrible customer service. Three people to arrange a valuation which didn't happen.

Do not touch , massively over promise & under deliver , missed appts , regularly people from the same branch contacting us for duplicate information & only had 4 days notice re the actual move date , do not use these estate agents so disorganised & probably one of the worst business I have dealt with throughout a quite stressful time

What a absolute disgusting company of fools . Have zero knowledge of how to treat a customer after travelling hundreds of miles then being told to wait 15 minutes then go home if vendor does not turn up (There words not mine)
And promised endless times after making offer they would call us back never did. These people at the (Carmarthen office) have no right to be called estate agents and are absolutely useless at there jobs and feel sorry for the people who are selling there homes threw this estate agents and the manager should look at replacing is staff

We can wholeheartedly recommend John Francis, Lampeter, following our experience in purchasing and selling our property through them. They were recommended to us by a friend who praised them highly and this recommendation proved to be fully justified. We were kept fully informed and updated regularly throughout the whole process. Tracey, in particular, was proactive in speeding up the process wherever possible chasing the various agencies including solicitors. When we called the office requesting information and she was unavailable our call was always returned promptly. Thanks are also due to Lisa Marie and Eryl for their contribution to an excellent standard of service at all times. Diolch yn fawr am wasanaeth o’r safon uchaf.

AVOID At all costs - coerced into utilising their preferred broker (name of broker) - who failed to evidence adequate aptitude when presenting the mortgage application. Took significantly more than my other broker and contrary to best practice demanded fees upfront - it is seeming likely that they ensure mortgage applications fail to capitalise as they promote that half the fee is returned for a further second application should the first fail - not at all professional, trustworthy or indeed competent. Worthy of reporting to FCA for misconduct and false advertising.
