Faulty Website

I have ordered a very expensive camera and some film for my daughters birthday. I live in the UK and filled out my address correctly. I even double checked, as I was nervous it was coming from another country. After paying and it all going through, I get confirmation that my house number was not included. Realising straight away, I emailed the company and sent an online request. The order was sent out before they responded to my email. Apparently sending packages to the UK with no house number or name is usual practice. After back and forth with "customer service", the tone has changed to it being my fault and nothing they can do to help me. Funny how the invoice sent to my email did contain my correct address AND house number. So they had it all along but didnt check or add it on to the delivery. I am beyond frustrated as this is a gift and has cost me a lot of money. I am now advised to wait for it to be returned to them (as of course it cant be delivered with no house number). This has caused me significant stress and I am so upset. I simply cant afford to buy a replacement from somewhere else and I am hoping it gets refunded and my refund will come back to me quickly but I am of course worried and how long will that take?! Just a warning to UK customers...even if you double check your address, its likely the number or house name will simply disappear from the order form

Online store is borderline fraudulent

Online store is borderline fraudulent, do not order from their online store.

Ordered a GoPro with peripherals over a month ago but still have not recieved any indication that the order will be shipped. I have contacted support 3 separate times (2 times asking for updates and 1 time asking for cancellation and refund) and have only gotten initial vague "we are investigating" responses, with any further replies from my side being ignored.

It seems like currently one of the items in the order is no longer in stock, so my hypothesis is that they instead of notifying the customer and handling this properly instead just waiting until the item is back in stock and ignoring any customer service requests.

Either way, I will never order from them again and will go out of my way to make sure no one I know does not do so either.

Very poor experience: long delays and no communication

Unfortunately, my experience was negative, mainly due to the complete lack of customer support. I tried several times to contact the company for updates regarding my order, but I never received any response.
The item was ordered in August and only arrived in late November. Because of this significant delay and the absence of any communication, I requested a refund through PayPal, which was correctly processed.
Later, at the end of December, the company contacted me with a payment reminder. Even though PayPal informed me that I was not obligated to pay again, I chose to complete the payment anyway, out of honesty and fairness, once the product had been delivered.
However, the complete lack of responsiveness from customer support is unacceptable. For this reason, I will not be purchasing from this store again. I strongly recommend improving customer service and ensuring that contact channels are actually responsive.

Succesul lens purchase …

I live in the Netherlands and I visit often the store in Utrecht. I always get very good service at kamera express. The people are knowledgeable and help me with the best advice and guide me to purchase what I need. I was able to sell and buy new lenses, I was able to get a very good quote for the lenses I sold. Moreover the people let me do a short test for the one that I bought.

Great guidance from the friendly staff

I went to the shop in Amsterdam without knowing exactly what to get as a first camera and I got the assistance I needed. A friendly employee spent all the time I needed and guided me to get the right equipment to fill my expectations and according to my level. Not trying to sell me something I wouldn't need.
I appreciated the guidance and advice.

My really bad experience with Kamera Express NL

This is my really bad experience with Kamera Express NL / Photospecialist.

We ordered a DJI Power 2000 (Power Station) 10-10-2025, which right after ordering was sold out, but the company still withdraw the payment nearly immediately, this is not my normal experience of procedure in various webshops.

Finally on 29-10-2025 they sent us the tracking information that they now have shipped the unit, but after several days there was no update at all on the shipment-tracking, only “PARCEL CREATED” and “NO PARCEL RECEIVED SO FAR, ONLY A PREADVICE”

After several emails Kamera Express admitted that the package probably was lost and they agreed to resend the Power Station.
But again the Power Station was sold out and we had to wait another period of time.
While waiting I coincidentally discovered they had lowered the price by 100 euros. Then again I contacted Kamera Express because they had not automatically lowered our price on the replacement unit, but anyway they agreed to refund us these 100 euros.

Time is passing and after two weeks today, there is still no sign that they had done anything about the 100 euro refund, which I of course confronted them with by email and later by phone calls, but so far no outcome.

On 20-11-2025 they get the DJI Power 2000 back in stock again and the same day they send an email notification with tracking information “PARCEL CREATED” and “NO PARCEL RECEIVED SO FAR, ONLY A PREADVICE”

After several days and status checking of the shipment tracking, everything was just like repeating, exactly same thing happened like with the first shipping “NO PARCEL RECEIVED SO FAR, ONLY A PREADVICE”

Can it really be true that Kamera Express NL have sent this Power Station two times and both times it is never scanned or received by the carrier “SPRING” there argument is that they have sent the unit both times and can’t do anything more than wait until “SPRING” returns with the results of their investigation!

I have sent several emails and contacted by phone several times, but the friendly and accommodating customer service just keeps telling me to wait until this afternoon or tomorrow because it can take up to at least 10 days or probably more than a month to get a response from the shipping company, even though I have made it very clear that my patience is GONE and I can't wait any longer, I have completely lost my trust in this company.
As a compensation they gave us a 20 euro voucher, which to me seems like a joke when the ordered goods never arrives.

I have never experienced anything like this from any online store, despite decades of online shopping in different countries. Actually everything is pointing that we are not dealing with a fraud website, but anyway we never receive what we have ordered - only our money is gone.
So close to give up and report to PayPal in a hope using their buyers protection to get our +1.000 euros back again.

Great service

Great service, got lucky with language barriers as it is the smartest choice to check whether the item is available in house before showing up up but it played out preferably for me. Got an item at almost 50% price in regards to my home country, service was great and a lot of insightful people available at location. They even had a random thing I had been looking for in addition to the lens I was looking for (which was in perfect shape for a used item) which perfectly complemented my purchase!

Very disappointed with the service and communication

I recently purchased a DJI Mic from Kamera Express, but my experience has been nothing short of disappointing.

The product I received was clearly not new: one of the transmitters does not work (the indicator lights are defective) and I discovered multiple Arabic audio recordings on the device. This can only mean that the product had been used before. Yet Kamera Express flatly denies this.

To make matters worse, I literally received the response: “We find it very unlikely that there are recordings on the device.” As if I’m making this up myself! I even offered to share the files as proof, but I have not received any reply to that question.

The store only offers to repair the device, while I paid the full price for what in my opinion is a second-hand and defective product. They refuse to exchange it for a truly new one.

What bothers me the most is the attitude: my complaint is not taken seriously, and I am made to feel like I am not credible. This is absolutely not the level of service you would expect from a retailer presenting itself as a specialist.

In the meantime, I have submitted my complaint directly to DJI, hoping that they will provide a proper and fair solution.

My experience with this company was very stressful

They did not dispatch the item in the time that they advertised, then made no response to a series of emails first enquiring about the order then requesting that it be cancelled (because I was leaving the country). They said it was out for delivery when it wasn't and attempted to have it delivered when they knew I was out of the country. Eventually the delivery company told me they had returned it to Kamera Express (which I was very relieved about because I thought they would then return my money) but Kamera Express said they didn't have it. I then sent a series of emails which were, again, ignored. Finally I had to threaten legal action before I eventually got my money back - even then it took a while. I recommend avoiding this company.

I see Kamera Express have been quick to respond to this public review. It seems they monitor Trustpilot more carefully than emails from their customers.
